Hopefully getting a series3 for my first car, cheap insurance(classic policy), cheap to buy , nice to look at , lots of aftermarket bits you can buy( but no shitty fat exhausts or alloys that are to big for the car thank god) and not much to go wrong.
Land rover's Range Rover wasn't the first sport utility vehicle. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has that claim, as it debuted in 1963, seven years before the range rover.
@noelie84 actually they was the first sport utility vehicle.. the LR Series I in 1953 with long battle and station wagon with 4 doors are... i think..
Timeless, classless and easy to work on were my reasons for owning one, now I'm just plan nuts about them.
They may break down but its all part of the fun of owning one. I've lost count of how many time shes pulled cars out of ditches and works vans back to the yard.
I love them too, I have gust rebuilt and moded for off roading my range rover classic. but the weeked before billing the transfer box disintergrated 20minutes after first m.o.t. but it's sorted now. I'm only 12 coming 13.
how old are you then, I'm 13 and I've got a series 3 which I am restoring for off roading, I have also rebuilt a range rover classic but that ones my dad's.
wow thats cool where do you live, and what school do you go to. I go to hichingbrooke in huntingdon, but I live in a little village called barham down the A14
i just turned 14 not to long ago, and my parents got the land rover discorvery series 2, we had it for about 3-4 yrs, nd only changed brakes once, and did not even need to, land rovers are great, i live in da U.S.A. by the way, we need more defenders hahaha. :)
that is one of the reasons i bought my landy i dont care how annoing it can get and how uncoftable it just the toughest classiest vehical on the planet
i have goose bumps every time i watch that. Every land rover ive owned, good or bad has all ways been a joy. They are classles and they are my favourite car. Ive never been with out atleast one in almost 20 years. Thanks for posting that great topgear video

And yet, the early Range Rovers are said to be the most unreliable.

Honestly, people can have their ford F-250's that look ugly or their chevrolets for one reason. They do NOT measure up to a Range Rover.

At the end, "Renault Clio" -- nothing could possibly be more the opposite of the Land Rover.
