  • hi, trying to remove green screen - there is a shadow behind the person - wrong lights - now the edges are very fuzzy - any way to fix this?

  • Respond to this video... witch final cut studio software is better

  • i need an instant reply for this plz. does it work with sony veegas and is it the same process

  • thanks for the help

  • Maaaan! your keying sucks big time.. the worst tutorial i've ever seen... are you sure your in the right business ???

  • These are the worst shot videos.... bad lighting, bad audio, and grainy shots. When you wanna do a computer shot do it so people can actually see the pull down menu.

  • great video, keep up the good work, 5/5

  • torrents

  • Is there any programs that allow you to do it free?

  • Wax 2.0

  • You can get everything for free from warez websites.

  • well, if you divide the video frame by frame, and edit out the background in each frame in photoshop or gimp, or even ms-paint, then you ll get it for free. yes, you would finish maybe after one month of continuous work, but you ll be done free. : D

  • Hahahahaha

  • how can you do it for free???

  • Steal some greenscreen fabric and lights, pirate adobe premiere, and nick your camera from a random cameraman or lost and found. Other than that, I don't think you can.

  • thats wat i thought

  • what video software is used here???

  • Sony Vegas ftw

    X3

  • Wow!

Did you see that horrible stair stepping? I know I did.

It was on both FCP and Premier.

Could you please explain how not to have the unwanted look of stair stepping? If you are not able to make it better on either program. Is there something better that people may use for both Mac & PC?

  • There's some good green screen stuff here, search " The Way of the Santa "

  • how do you get the backroung to be like a video i only get pictures?

    plz help

  • yea, you have to pay though, but luckily, there r lots of youtube vids to get it free. Read reviews about it, it is the total package, like things from green screen cromakeying to slowmotion reverb!

  • Avid rules everything

  • yeah avid is the pro stuff

  • what is better?

    Adobe Premiere

    Final Cut

    Sony Vegas

  • adobe and sony

  • sony

  • final cut rules all

  • FINAL CUT. im thinking of switching to mac JUST FOR FINAL CUT

  • yeah

  • final cut

  • sony vegas 8, easiest and best!

  • In the industry, they tend to use Premiere pro (Adobe) or Final Cut (Apple).

But, Sony Vegas is a lot easier to get used to and to use.

Also, if you want to do a lot with Premiere pro, you're gonna want Affter Effects too, which, while is worth the money, you may not need if your making simple videos on YouTube or if you have Final Cut Pro.

I use Premiere Pro, but Vegas for simple things.

  • I think premiere pro is just as easy to use as sony vegas. And premiere pro os way better than vegas. especially combined with after effects as you mention

  • They are all relatively the same...

  • Thanks for showing something using premiere pro

  • the end looked like shit seruously I dont want that result

  • WHICH SOFTWARE YOU ARE USING

  • Final cut pro.

  • good well done

  • Just Get Ulead or Vegas. I'ts easier.

  • Yeah ur right but u can use and make really cool effects in Adobe premiere pro. Probably the most annoyin part of adobe premiere pro is the price!

  • Final Cut

  • witch editing soft were is easyer and do u have to pay 4 them or r they free

  • Which ones better Final Cut or Premeire Pro?

  • Final Cut is not necessarily better, but it comes in Final Cut Studio which has GREAT programs to go with it like Color, for color correction, and LiveType, for advanced titles. Also Motion for animation. Final Cut is also easier. If you can't afford it, go with Final Cut Express.

  • none

  • i don't have either program. is there another program i can use?

  • wow, thank you so much.. haha, I use premiere so much... Now I'm gonna have so much fun!

  • im just getting into video editing but before i spend the big money i wanna an opinion which is better final cut, sony vegas, or adobe after effects???

  • After fx in not really suited for editing. Use adobe premiere pro.

  • Oh COME ON!! What the HELL are you making this for, when one can't see ANYTHING of what it is you're doing in the canvas??! WAKE UP! This ain't HD, pinheads!

And the screen at the beginning is probably THE worst lit screen I have seen in years. The audio mixing is also (as with ALL your clips) complete dung. Who told you guys you should or even could do this kind of stuff??

At least your URLs don't have the usual, embarrassing SPELLING MISTAKE in them!

  • Can you tell me which songs, artist you play for audio background of the video?

  • Those are standard (and thoroughly OVERUSED) audio and instrument loops from "Soundtrack Pro", part of Final Cut Studio and/or Final Cut Express (up until version 4). Garageband is an even BETTER alternative for soundtracking, for some.

Bottom line: get a Mac and you're fine. Smooth sailing from there.

  • I have Adobe premiere elements 4. How can I imcorporate a green screen key into it?

  • Can you use the green screen with Studio 10 or Windows Movie Maker?

  • Not with Windows Movie Maker

  • How about studio 10

  • I think so, I have Studio 11.

  • I think if you put your lights on better position, you won't need two filters, because the background will be entirely even green.

  • wich is the best software to do all this????

  • final cut, after effects, premiere are all great

  • final cut for macs

  • is iMovie good for this?

  • Afraid not, you'll have to move up to something like Final Cut Pro Express, Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas, etc. Check out our most recent Buyer's Guide by going to our website and referencing article #13035 in the search window. Happy hunting!

  • What the heck can I do about the spillage?

  • i made a version of britney spears piece of me of her in my school lol! its soo awsome! thanks you helped me alot!

  • hey, thanks for this tutorial.

  • Thank You!

  • I wouldn't call this a step-by-step tutorial. All this tells you to do is to use the Chroma Key filter and "adjust" it. This video doesn't say HOW to adjust it, just to do it. If this video is for people so unfamiliar with editing that they need to be told which filter to use, it would follow that they also need to be told what to do with it.

  • The slider settings for each situation are different and depend on a number of factors (the background color, contrast, luminosity, etc.). Once you get into the settings menu, just start tinkering around with the adjustments, eye-balling it until you get the results you want. It does take a little time to get the hang of it, but 20-30 minutes into it you should be flying through it like a pro. Good luck!

  • thanks for the 4min tutorial, im testing out both programs before i buying a program and i find both programs better way. Thank you very much this is a big help (Thanks for placeing this on youtube)

  • Your help with green screen has help in a big way. Thanx again

    Klassic Reel Entertainment

  • But your final results look bad, with jagged edges? How do you smooth this out? And there is way too much overspill.

  • The "roughness" of the edges is caused by converting the pixels aspect ratio from rectangular to square in compression, not from the actual in-software effect. Just make sure that you know how your video compression will effect your pixel(s) aspect ratio.

  • It sucks there doesn't exists a chroma keyer in Windows Movie Maker, right?

  • Nice. I've seen this done well in After Effects but I am glad the same principle of doubling up keying filters still works in Premiere.

  • Sony VEGAS in another great software for this.

  • great..thnx videomaker

  • I can't wait to try this...first have to get the green background:)

  • i knew about the keying effect, but it would never work for me. Thanks for making this simpler by just adding more than one color keying effect. Thanks!

  • cool
