well, if you divide the video frame by frame, and edit out the background in each frame in photoshop or gimp, or even ms-paint, then you ll get it for free. yes, you would finish maybe after one month of continuous work, but you ll be done free. : D
Steal some greenscreen fabric and lights, pirate adobe premiere, and nick your camera from a random cameraman or lost and found. Other than that, I don't think you can.
Did you see that horrible stair stepping? I know I did.
It was on both FCP and Premier.
Could you please explain how not to have the unwanted look of stair stepping? If you are not able to make it better on either program. Is there something better that people may use for both Mac & PC?
yea, you have to pay though, but luckily, there r lots of youtube vids to get it free. Read reviews about it, it is the total package, like things from green screen cromakeying to slowmotion reverb!
In the industry, they tend to use Premiere pro (Adobe) or Final Cut (Apple).
But, Sony Vegas is a lot easier to get used to and to use.
Also, if you want to do a lot with Premiere pro, you're gonna want Affter Effects too, which, while is worth the money, you may not need if your making simple videos on YouTube or if you have Final Cut Pro.
I think premiere pro is just as easy to use as sony vegas. And premiere pro os way better than vegas. especially combined with after effects as you mention
Final Cut is not necessarily better, but it comes in Final Cut Studio which has GREAT programs to go with it like Color, for color correction, and LiveType, for advanced titles. Also Motion for animation. Final Cut is also easier. If you can't afford it, go with Final Cut Express.
im just getting into video editing but before i spend the big money i wanna an opinion which is better final cut, sony vegas, or adobe after effects???
Oh COME ON!! What the HELL are you making this for, when one can't see ANYTHING of what it is you're doing in the canvas??! WAKE UP! This ain't HD, pinheads!
And the screen at the beginning is probably THE worst lit screen I have seen in years. The audio mixing is also (as with ALL your clips) complete dung. Who told you guys you should or even could do this kind of stuff??
At least your URLs don't have the usual, embarrassing SPELLING MISTAKE in them!
Those are standard (and thoroughly OVERUSED) audio and instrument loops from "Soundtrack Pro", part of Final Cut Studio and/or Final Cut Express (up until version 4). Garageband is an even BETTER alternative for soundtracking, for some.
Bottom line: get a Mac and you're fine. Smooth sailing from there.
Afraid not, you'll have to move up to something like Final Cut Pro Express, Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas, etc. Check out our most recent Buyer's Guide by going to our website and referencing article #13035 in the search window. Happy hunting!
I wouldn't call this a step-by-step tutorial. All this tells you to do is to use the Chroma Key filter and "adjust" it. This video doesn't say HOW to adjust it, just to do it. If this video is for people so unfamiliar with editing that they need to be told which filter to use, it would follow that they also need to be told what to do with it.
The slider settings for each situation are different and depend on a number of factors (the background color, contrast, luminosity, etc.). Once you get into the settings menu, just start tinkering around with the adjustments, eye-balling it until you get the results you want. It does take a little time to get the hang of it, but 20-30 minutes into it you should be flying through it like a pro. Good luck!
thanks for the 4min tutorial, im testing out both programs before i buying a program and i find both programs better way. Thank you very much this is a big help (Thanks for placeing this on youtube)
The "roughness" of the edges is caused by converting the pixels aspect ratio from rectangular to square in compression, not from the actual in-software effect. Just make sure that you know how your video compression will effect your pixel(s) aspect ratio.
i knew about the keying effect, but it would never work for me. Thanks for making this simpler by just adding more than one color keying effect. Thanks!
