I agree I had heard about this for months and never saw it before. Those mats aren't your usual Zebra or tatami mats those mats are just really thick puzzle mats that hurt like hell when you're slammed. As much as I love Daniel Moraes that was messed up.

Daniel Moraes is a dick! He was a prick at ADCC 2005 by tossing his protein bar wrapper in the audience, and was a sore loser when he got tapped out by Otto Olsen. My teammate is fighting him in the GFC MMA. I told my teammate to knock this dude out cold!
I just went to a seminar with Daniel last night and he was as nice as could be. We mustn't forget that all Brazilians are very prideful, not just Daniel. Of course any former world champ is gonna be mad if they get tapped.
the ref and everyone invloved in this tournament should be ashamed of themselves for letting that spike to the head go unpunished. we all know who won, so does danile moraes, I am glad marcelo owned him.
Mr Carlos Gracie Jr. took Mike`s side saying it was wrong of the ref and now he is bringing the mundials to American Soil, wich is great, the sport is slowly becoming everybodys sport not only brazilians. Great job Mike and all foreigners or non brazilians.
BS Daniel Moraes should have been desqualified that was definitely a spike on mike. how can they expect our sport to grow if they wont have fairness in the reffing
Don't compete in Brazil unless you planning on tapping all you're opponets, the brazilians are by far the most ridiculously unfair ref's and fighters i've ever seen in any sport.
