AS LONG AS YOU THINK YOU WILL FIND YOUR SELF THINKING, AS LONG AS YOU LOOK YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF LOOKING, AS LONG AS YOU FEEL YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF FEELING ;ALL THERE IS, THERE IS. THE PRE-SOCRATIC GREEKS KNEW IT, THE HINDUS KNOW IT, THE BUDDHIST KNOW IT AND HONESTLY YOU WILL NOT FIND ANYTHING IN A THOUGHT BUT A THOUGHT, UNITE ALL THESE THINGS AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF BEING. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF RIGHT WERE YOU STARTED, JUST LIVING.
@kadafi67 a) I was talking to frithwks, clearly, because his original observation was true. But having at least taken interest in viewing this video.. leaving with the impression and insight he had offered, he had most likely discontinued further interest in the message.. which would be unfortunate. My point in attempting to convince him of anything was to re-establish his interest which could be beneficial. The message is real. b) If your question is rhetorical, then ask yourself that question.
@frithwks Eh not so much a greater consciousness, its this consciousness allowing you to even read this right now, it requires no faith, you know you're awake and aware, it's 100% innate and unparalleled in integrity. Imagination is the culprit in a way, raw conscious experience suggests nothing, only conditioned conceptual thought does. Theres no exercise to be awake and experiencing. Theres no ultimate truth in this, any pointers are temporary & later discarded. This video is a poor exposition
@frithwks Right but any suggestions only negate anything that the mind could fixate on to make a point of reference.. it is an ontological undertaking but does it empirically through present raw sensory experience without mental conceptual overlay or ideation that could influence. Eventually it points to this faculty of sentience occurring, and shifts perception to create a reflexive self-awareness which is the best way to describe it. Liquidating the subject/object dichotomy. Interesting stuff!
@frithwks Right, I was actually agreeing with you originally, and now as well. I will say however that what this video is discussing and attempting to point to had better not be a philosophy. I agree this video presents the message it's intending to address in the form of propagating a philosophical point of view that requires adoption by whoever might accept it. And "teaching" doesn't need to be the term used. Discourse maybe. This "thing" its discussing is meant to be actualized experientially.
@frithwks True, to 1) postulate and accept the notion of a deeper reality behind the appearances in-and-of themselves as inherently separate appearances and 2) believe that you are 'other-than' that exists eternally (through time) are both philosophical points of view being accepted. This isn't the clearest exposition of advaita i'd say personally, so don't take this to be the absolute end-all of what the teaching ultimately points to. But in videos defense, it is abstract when conceptualized.
Existential anxiety that will not go away. Ahh this is a good pointer if you want to shoot holes in it guess what your ego is giving off a little stink. Take what you want from this and move on. Yes, I stink a little too incase you personalize this set of words.
The fallacy here is that in reality it's the human being who is animating the characters who are comprised of pixels being controlled by programming language running on electro-magnetic computing devices. Whoever wrote this was absorbed in the illusion of identifying with the medium he was attempting to control, forgetting to include his real self in the equation he was espousing. Such is the power of the deluding potency of the Lord.
We as spiritual beings exist outside the realm of matter (pixels, computers, etc.) but interface with it via the false-ego (identification with what's on screen) in pursuit of achieving perception of relatively desirable and avoidance of undesirable virtual circumstances. This pursuit continues as long as the needs of the real person (the user) are neglected. Those needs appear as hunger for spiritual reality, which can be only fed in connection with Krishna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead.
The pixels are like the atoms of which everything exists. Yet there is an artist making use of them, an intelligence that might for a time be so focused into the cartoon figures made of the pixels, that he forgets himself, and might even identify -think that he is- one or another cartoon figure...
And then to realize that even the pixels are made by an intelligence that itself is not those pixels nor any of the cartoon characters.
This is a dream, dreamed by the Dreamer...dreaming you now.
@blabli I know. This video has many layers (deep spirituality) to it. The Matrix felt the same way to me (with it's many layers). My mind doesn't like (layers) of thought. I will explode one day.
This is The Matrix!!!
