Hey, I was impressed when I saw Nirvana do this. I was happy to see the new generation of kids liking the old good stuff. Just proves that good is good, no matter when or where you're from or who you are.
Listen: This is a great song. And it is great whenever great musicians sing it. Whether it's Leadbelly, Louvin Brothers, Bill Monroe, Peter Rowen, Jerry Reed, Dolly Parton, Nivana, or Robert Plant. The song is a World Classic.
@bulbheadmyass Me too !! Absolutely awesome, breathtaking and divine..... never get tired listening to it......don't suppose he'll come to Holland.... does he still do a lot of performing in the US ?
I love TR so much, but when I look at him now, it makes me sad a little bit. Like, I wish he was world known and ultra famous because he's so damn good (tony rice = TR) but it's just not like that, and it's sad a little bit. Poor guy =(
Tony Rice is amazing and will always be an amazing musician. Those that love him, well they do. I think it doesn't matter how old he is, what matters most of all is that he shares his beautiful music with us to this day!
I seen Tony quite a few times during the 1980's. To see him now, wow, yeah he is getting older as well as Peter Rowan. Thanks FDRW for sharing this video.
