This is incredible. Great band, great recording.

And, for the record, there is no radio station in the world like KEXP. With all due respect to "Philly 104.5," KEXP was broadcasting this performance live from Iceland. A relatively small-market music-festival in Iceland, a place where KEXP met the band a year before and recorded untitled tracks while they played in their own living room. Gotta give credit where credit is due--KEXP is the best.

At this point, Of Monsters And Men were signed to Record Records in Iceland, but had no label deal in the States, though there had been some interest. Quickly, Radio 104.5 listeners starting downloading the demo version ofthe song from iTunes at rapid fire pace and major labels took notice and ultimately started a bit of a bidding war to sign ‘em to an International deal to include the U.S.

@sucmylefnut, we're not trying to deny 104.5's influence, but we (KEXP 90.3 in Seattle) have been championing OMAM for over a year, and the band even cites us and our video from last year on their website and FB as bringing them to the attention of other stations. We're happy that everyone is playing the song now (or soon will be), but to be honest we're not super-thrilled that some people are pimping another station on our channel. Props to them, but it feels a bit like spam.

Don't fret over an issue like this, if you're the ones receiving the credit from the OMOM themselves, that's all that counts, all else is ego and there's no need for that. You guys provide an awesome service, whether or not you're properly credited is an issue only if it isn't recognized by the folks you're helping out. Philly and the radio station Radio 104.5 were instrumental in helping this band get a record deal. The song's been in heavy rotation on the station all summer. I hear an EP is cue to drop shortly.
