Like any "media", much of a biography is subjective, unless the author has interviewed the subject directly. Even then, that is open to interpretation. What do we really know about anyone except what we experience ourselves? Unless someone is known to you personally, or you have spent time with them in some facet, you only know them in a very limited way. And you can't base your opinion of them from what others tell you as that would also be a biased view. So fans of MJ don't know the real MJ.
The truth of the matter is, even in instances where people meet face to face or even spend an extended amount of time together, one can never truly know what is genuine or not, since people lie, bend the truth keep secrets or portray themselves as someone they are not. So in reality, one cannot truly know someone unless they are that someone. So I guess we'll never truly know what kind of person MJ was - or any other person on the planet, dead or alive.
Basically, you are saying that without personal exposure to MJ, (or any person for that matter) one cannot "truly" know the individual and form an unbiased, "real" opinion about the person, but yet you were the one who was quick to assume MJ chose a life of drugs and demonize him for his plastic surgeries. Therefore I am in a position to make an assertive claim, which you can NEVER do. And that is this: 1) MJ chose to abuse prescription drugs; 2) MJ chose to abuse cosmetic surgery to the point of personal harm; 3) MJ was, indeed, and by all definitions, a pediphile. And if you knew anything, you would know that MJ chose neither of those. The drugs in his system at his time of death were prescribed by his doctor - there were no other drugs found. MJ didn't want to take them. He took them because he trusted his doctor's advice.
As for the plastic surgery, much of this was to combat the side effects of his Lupus. His first nose job was to correct a broken nose he suffered during a dance rehearsal. His second nose job was to correct the first one because it blocked his breathing. The reasons for such bad side effects with his Lupus is that Lupus patients aren't supposed to have plastic surgery, but he didn't know he had at the time.

It was a comedy skit, done to make people laugh, and it was done a while back. At the time when EVERYONE was pretty sure MJ did some bad shit to some kids. Like any "media", much of a biography is subjective, unless the author has interviewed the subject directly. Even then, that is open to interpretation. What do we really know about anyone except what we experience ourselves? Unless someone is known to you personally, or you have spent time with them in some facet, you only know them in a very limited way. As for the plastic surgery, much of this was to combat the side effects of his Lupus. His first nose job was to correct a broken nose he suffered during a dance rehearsal. His second nose job was to correct the first one because it blocked his breathing. The reasons for such bad side effects with his Lupus is that Lupus patients aren't supposed to have plastic surgery, but he didn't know he had at the time.
