  • ive been listening to lots of metal and nonmetal for years now and dont care

what it is i love two witches but also love blackmetal old sepultura old amorphis

    etc.

  • too many subgenres out there that fuck up the minds of those just want to

listen music and not a fad that will die and fade like we will one day

    sooner or later

  • Seriously, Goth...... Mallgoth... who gives a fuck?? Listen to what you like and quit bitching about what others like. I've never seen a community that prides itself being 'different' and 'accepting' of others beliefs be so narrow minded when it comes to what a person should like.

    P.S. Goth Purists= Hipsters.... with awful make-up...

  • @Meltyourfacelol It's not about pride, it's wanting to bring awareness to those who are oblivious to legit goth music. I'm not looking to argue with you, just Goth is more about the music than the fashion. A lot of people with actual goth mindsets sometimes prefer a more subtle way of dressing, and won't necessarily give off a ''goth'' vibe to people who are entirely oblivious to it.

Most people are unaware in the true aesthetic/depth/mind set that goth music has.

  • @EturnusFrost Fair enough. Yeah, I have to agree, I know a lot of 'goth' types who have never heard of any goth bands. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of new bands out there (at least that I'm aware of) that are really what I'd call 'old school' goth, so many new kids don't know of older bands. Plus goth music in general has evolved considerably from the '80s.

  • @Meltyourfacelol Theirs actually quite a bit of new artists that are somewhat come close to old school goth, but not TOO many. And what do you mean by evolved? I used to be in the mallgoth section somewhat, luckily I was guided to the real stuff..shortly after that I didn't even consider it part of goth at all/evolved from/etc,that may be a bit hypocritical but eh, for me everything just became shallow after being lead to it. I do have passion for it, but I wouldn't really call it pride.

  • @EturnusFrost I mean it has changed, of course. And created sub-genres. Mainly sub-genres.

Kind of how Black metal evolved from its beginnings in the 80's, to the low-fi glory of the early ninties, to the polished-but-brutal bands that play nowadays. Different take on the genre, but still the same more or less.

  • @Meltyourfacelol And it's a highly underground genre. A lot of artists have ripped off of artists within the culture..from what I've seen, not going to call that a fact though. I mean, it sort of makes sense they'd easily dupe people since they've never stumbled across the real music. It's something to give people these days to dig for, and be rewarded..sure I would of preferred attending live shows and all back in the 80's-90's, but all I really need is my room and a good atmosphere :).

  • @MegadethMad17 Wow! I was a little surprised to see that this thread is alive, when the email came in. Anyway, yeah, I understand your annoyance. I'm not about to promote lashing out at people to that degree, but I definitely get why they're so irritating. The best way with which to deal with them is to ignore them, be thankful for having good musical taste, and to appreciate what we love: the music.

  • The girls are very beautiful, wish there were more like them around....

  • Proud to be from Finland... \,,/

  • @fetish106 oh, entiendo.. ps aun asi, ella se parece muchisimo a anne.. :S pero bueno... muchas gracias por la aclaratoria.. ^^

  • sombody here knows where i can find photos of them in this video? i wanna see the clothes

  • personally, im not a fan of this song at all, but the chick with the pinkish red hair is HOT and the guy reminds me of riff-raff from the rocky horror picture show XD

  • This is equivalent to a pop rap music video in it's creativity. One guy on the lyrics, surrounded by women that aren't really doing anything, in the scenery associated with their respective musical scene.

  • haha cool song >=)

  • This song is realy nice

  • tho witches is the Group gothico more metal that I know

and I like a lot like anne nurmy

  • Why is Bobcat Goldthwait singing in a goth band?

  • Why aren't there women like this anymore... *sigh*

  • @ExcrucioAeternus Dennies 3:25 in the mornig here, they crawl.

  • @ExcrucioAeternus They still exist in major cities, check out adorabats youtube channel. FRee ADvertising :D!

  • @ExcrucioAeternus

Ikr, too many scene kid's ripp off the goth scene with the studded boots and hair.

  • @TheEmeraldRitual The goth scene is ripped off by kids who don't listen to goth music and claim to be ''goth.''

  • @Forestmountains1

I know that, I just happen to see scene kids wearing studded boats and goggles which is part of the goth scenery. Loads of wannabe's, even ones that automatically think Manson's goth.

  • @Forestmountains1

I have loved what you just said there! I got into the music when I was 13 before that at the age of 11 I was calling my self a Goth. Am 17 now and still love and listen to the music!

  • I like this song all the way to 2:54; it's like they decide, ''it's time to switch the sound to metal.'' :(

  • I wish people would stop arguing on these things :/ music is meant to be enjoyed, not fought over.

  • It's like some close-minded people want to define goth rock so that metal can never be mixed with it... the second any metal influence shows up they want to drop it and walk away like it's diseased.

It's entirely possible to blend the two, just like it was possible to blend genres to come up with what was later termed goth in the first place.

Also, gothic metal never was 'goth'... to many people's confusion, it simply describes metal that evoked Gothic atmosphere (as in Gothic literature).

  • @withindarkness Totally agree with you, forme, Type O Negative was the only Goth Metal band.

  • @klapausius69 There is no such thing as ''Goth Metal.'' Even though people think it's linked to the goth subculture, it had nothing to do with its traditional movement.

  • @Forestmountains1 you are right about the everything except for the part about there being no such thing as "Goth Metal" there is a genre called that but it isn't linked at all

  • @PsycReaper Not linked to what? to Goth? gotcha! There is a difference between Goth and Gothic. ''Gothic'' is used as an adjective.in metal, and thank goth it's not related.

  • @Forestmountains1

True... I have never heard anyone saying Goth Metal... I always call it Gothic Metal.

    Thank what isn't related?

  • amoe sta rolota a wuev es de lo mejor yea

  • amoe sta rolota a wuev

  • buenisima rola

  • aaahhh!!! q chingona rolaaaaa!!! Vientos!!!

  • This is so epically shit its funny. It belongs on a emo sketch produced by Bill Bailey. These dumb asses need to get jobs and stop living with their parents.

  • A little heavier than I'm used to from my gothic rock, but not an altogether terrible sound. I should look this band up some more.

  • @TheVampireXavier "Yeah, right dude", and George Bush is a wise man, bulshit, Two Withches sucks, and i repeat that seems like an bunch of hippies in a Lcd Trip, their music sucks, until my grandfather did better music, and he´s dead, c´mon, if you think that is a beautiful music, listen "Rust In Peace", or Reing In Blood, or Among The Living or ...And Justice For All, this is Artwork, not this shit. Now go to eat an Garlic soup fucking vampire!!!

  • very crudely made video but awesome and fascinating and music is great !

  • Seems like an bunch of fucking hippies in acid trip, i don´t want to seen more bastards like an stoned musicians like this band, is so fucking bored as hell.

  • Two Witches - Argentina!

  • to the 14 emo's go listen to your hawthorn heights and slit your wrists you pathetic waste of human resources

  • @Plaguedmarionette what the hell not all fucking emos slit there wrist so get a clue and for ur info we are not a wast of life ok

  • @rosalie0907 in my experience you are! i dont care what you wear or what you listen to, however when you complain constantly about stupid shit then you need to either do something about your problems or just hang yourselves

  • @Plaguedmarionette I agree.

  • @Crossbowman at least someone does

  • if someone ask you, what is goth? show him this video!!

  • While I agree that the vocals starting at 2:59 ruined the pace of the song, and were were not needed at all..I still don't mind the vocals as much since my tastes in music is quite varied. Listening to Metal (Don't listen to it much anymore, though somtimes) for years set my expectations to a medium level..so I really don't mind the vocals..though I much prefer the overtones before the heavy vocals kicked in. Goth Rock to me is great enough to me to easily replace the intensity of metal vocals.

  • @EturnusFrost no way! that part in Finnish is the best in my opinion

  • @Ci4nyde Well, they're ok with me that's the thing..All I meant is that the song would of done fine continuing the starting vocals..but hey, we all have our opinions..I wasn't claiming they were bad though, since I like some of it.

  • @EturnusFrost Whats wrong was that too intense for you?

  • @666deathghost What are you on about? Were the change of vocals too intense for me? No, in fact, eons away from being intense to me. I just would of preferred the previous vocals intact. This song has grown on me now anyways.

  • Not to appear ignorant but I know how we sometimes hang on & cling to our hereitage. I was just wondering, if the reason the frenzy of Goths & Punks shave the side of their heads if it was because of Native American lineage to Mohawkian? I thought maybe this band was old enough to know perhaps.

  • I love this video its so fucking sexy!

  • this band really has a versatile vocalist.

  • I LIKE THE MAKEUP

  • new poem I would burn everything Under a rain of ashes I would wash away my thoughts With a razor among my lips I softly kiss my skin As my tongue tastes my metal Lips are dripping life like the first spring bloom I never cared for the panorama of life More than once its beauty has pushed me away Like a piece of dirt under someones nail Pieces of skin are falling into the ground Hidden cuts never have to explain themselves Even if they burn like a familys silence
  • wery dark and great song

  • Gothic Rock? lol No This isn't goth they use to be goth though um... starting right at 2:59 really pisses me off the Cookie Monster metal shit just ruined it for me...

  • @Forestmountains1 - I used to really love this band. I do still love all of the music from them that I did, prior, but I will approach any and all future material of theirs with low expectations (assuming that I approach it at all).

  • @Forestmountains1 Elmo was laughing his ass off and not because he was being tickled. He was going; "Elmo can't take you guys seriously anymore, hee, hee, hee, hee!!!"

  • @NickCave13 elmo can stuck a di*k. does elmo think that funny. =} cuz i do. :}

  • muy pero muy buena banda de antologia diria yo

  • =) excelente banda

  • jee laulua suomeksi<3

btw all the girls are dykes :/

  • I love this song!!!!!

  • great oldschool gothic

  • I would have agreed at first, until the metal riffs and growling. I see Two Witches going a direction to which I thought they had better taste than to tread.

  • i looove that guy's teeth. :X:D

  • hahaha, indeed

  • that website (mp4ify) is actually very awesome for saving mp3s and mp4s from youtube vids like this

  • can someone point me to mp4ify? saves youtube video to mp3 or mp4 and it doesnt cost anything? i was told to google 'mp4ify'

  • For a long time, Two Witches has made some great music. Among the various Gothic Rock bands out there, they were better by far than all of the would-be Sisters of Mercy acts out there.

    They were wonderful.

Something changed. I heard it in this song. At first, it's good, and then, 3 min. into the song, there's this metal shit going on and Jyrki Witch starts growling.

    GROWLING?

    What the hell?

Good Goth, what's this crap? I'm sorry, I thought that I was listening to Two Witches, not Deathklok.

  • Dethklok is the shit!

  • If you like death metal and can deal with them not being a real band, but a fantasy band for a cartoon, sure.

A Goth band shouldn't make one think of Deathklok.

  • I get your point.

I do also "hate" this "new goth" music that involves growling, trying to make it sound more darker or "evil" adding that characteristic proper of metal...

I'm not very into goth music, but Bauhaus or Mephisto Waltz are excelent bands... Too bad that most people calling themselves "goths" only listen to goth metal or something that growls

  • We can thank the media, tot hopic, and a plethora of others for the teaming masses of mallgoths for the invasion of confused, tone-deaf headbangers who can't tell very distinctly different kinds of music apart.

By the way, that's "Mephisto Walz", if you talk about the band. A lot of people get it confused, because "Waltz" is the proper spelling when not talking about the band.

  • Mallgoths? Hahahahaha I thought those were called emos.

  • Emos are an entirely different and equally obnoxious creature. The Mallgoth thinks itself a Goth although it generally doesn't really like Goth music, is usually completely unaware of such music, but believes that listening to Slipknotagothband and Mansuck somehow qualifies. Add that they lack the refinement and decorum and tend to be obnoxious to the point of justifying hatred of Goths from those who believe that the mallgoth is a proper representative of the subculture (although they're not).

  • I was not aware that Slipknot was assumed to be Goth. I always thought of them as a white trash straight-edge band. Personally I don't consider Cradle of Filth to be a Goth band either, though a lot of people think of them that way. As far as Manson is concerned, I dont think anyone really thinks he's Goth, they just use him to justify their hate in their own minds. From what i've seen of America, it seems that people need to hate something. Constantly waging war on shit that doesn't matter.

  • @DarthVil Emos and mallgoths are nothing alike. I think you meant emo posers instead of emos. Emo culture has been bashed enough already, and I bet you dislike it when goth is bashed too, so don't be an hypocrite and respect their culture as well. Just as mallgoths aren't a proper representative of goths, so aren't emo posers of real emos, but I bet you didn't take the time to think that maybe your culture isn't the only one who's misrepresented everywhere. Don't be so self centered.

  • @OpheliaBlackman Emo isn't really a subculture. They had their start back in the 80s with bands like Rites of Spring, etc. that weren't exactly commercial, so they didn't have that much of a fanbase. Then the movement died down in the 90s, and what we see now is a complete deturpation of the original thing, made by rejected teenagers who like to cover their eyes and listen to whiny music while pretending to slit their wrists.

  • @KilledByLifeItself Well, yes, you're right, bad choice of words, but I did know that ^^ I was in an online forum and there were a couple of guys who were into real emo and showed us some of it, so it annoys me when people act on this double standard and bash it like DarthVil did.

  • @DarthVil ...Yeah Seriously... i cant stand when people place "Emo" in the same catagory as "Goth". Emo was a trend. A pathetic trend full of people who couldnt find themselves. they called themselves a subculture (with a set of rules on "how to be an individual", I might add. I saw their lame website). Goth on the other hand is a state of mind and theres no set way of life for the individual. Its more or less a state of mind someone either has or hasnt.

  • @DarthVil I recently got into post-punk, new wave, dark wave and some goth music as well. Being a fellow death metal fan originally, i am enlightened by your comments as I slowly distinguish various subgenres and think these vocals are totally unfit (starting at 2:50) if not, inappropriate, for the lovely instrumentals of this song. Cheers.

  • @GPurimu - There are a lot of good, newer bands out there these days. Thanks to the Deathrock revival, I think that all musical aspects of Goth are going to be positively affected. I think that we're going to see a lot more good Goth Rock and Dark Wave bands popping up as well. That reminds Me that when I get out of work, that I need to go poking around for new bands...

  • anne nurmi *-*

  • @slutsina she's not here

  • However Id wish she'd stay with TW

  • im playing World of warcraft with Anne :P

  • there are thousands of bands that are young and new worth listening to, and I am always envigorated and feel great when I see new people at the club dancing to the new songs I play mixed in with the old classics. The feeling and atmosphere of gothick is more than musick, it is a way of life, it is part of who you are which age doesn't affect. I know people in their 60's that have been into dark arts/goth/deathrock/occult/ritual music for more than 30 years that I completely admire...

  • sorry birinbirinbirin, but you couldn't be more than false for thinking that way. You really need to look in the underground which is where gothic/deathrock is, such as Daughters of Bristol , Draconian Incubus, Witching Hour Uk, MekRokieV, Dr. Arthur Krause, Gorgonas, La Peste Negra, Drowning Season, Our

Scars, Violet Stigmata, Funhouse, 13 Candles, Corpus Principium, need I go on further to absolutely prove my point? Sorry if deathrock is more obscure now, that is the way it is meant to be...

  • Very well said.

  • can't believe that's anne nurmi!!!

  • Lolz, gothic music has rosen so bloody much for the last few years!!I'm so proud of that xD

  • Not really man its almost dead. . .

theres only a few bands keeping it alive like cinema strange, kommunity fk, skeletal family, christian death and etc.... there the older generation and as soon as they stop its dead :(

  • @birinbirinbirin I agree with you...people have forgot the roots.

  • Yap, Anne is in Lacrimosa and is so much better :D

  • Everyone looks great except the lead singer. He needs to do something with that hair. It's a borderline Klaus Nomi do. And maybe see an orthodontist.

  • muito bom rock gotico na veia@@@@@@@

  • Anne looks so cute!!

  • Anne Nurmi is not in this video; she left the band to join Lacrimosa in 1993-1994 and this videoclip was filmed in Spain in 1997, when Two Witches came to play in Madrid...

  • Anne is not there! The girls on the band there are Nauku and Iris! I think you meant Nauky looks cute, 'cause Iris has part of her hair shaved.

  • mucha luz !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ita amazing that Anne Nurmi now member of lacrimosa naven changed at all and more tnan 20 years hane pased

she realy colu de a vimpire

    cheers

  • Holy shit, this is awesome a few years ago I tried looking some videos on internet of this awesome band and there was fucking none, thanks for share mate =)

  • maybe the only true goth band from finland...

  • @nauku84 so true

  • @nauku84 oh yeah? Maybe. This is music is like bridge between gothrock and fucking gothic metal. Gothic metal sucks and it's not even gothic anymore. Sad but true.

  • @nauku84

i disagree...they are good, but there are also other good if not excelent goth bands in finland

  • @nauku84 and THAT'S saying something.

  • I love Two Witches, but also agree that Goth Rock, Death Rock, Dark Wave, and all that stuff shouldn't be thrown around all willy nilly. A lot of Death Rock stuff wasn't, as this stuff is, influenced by Bat Cave.

While not a perfect rule to go by, Death Rock is more punk influenced and "American" in its roots, Goth Rock is more post-punk influenced and "British" rooted.

And so what if other post-punk and Bat Cave bands had done similar stuff earlier. Two Witches is still good fun stuff

  • @thedeathsound agree with you, for me, the gothic rock is closer to the new wave and new romantic influences.

  • @thedeathsound oh yeah gothic lesbians are hot

  • awsome....

  • this is definitely NOT deathrock....

  • ITS GOTHIC ROCK!

  • Its Death Rock in my book anyway we need more :-)

  • esa es wintertime

  • Tiempo de Invierno

    Winterway

    Las aves vuelan lejos

    Tiempo de Invierno

    Winterway

    ¿Por qué no podemos volar

¿Merece la pena de vivir aquí

¿Merece la pena el sufrimiento de aquí

    Tiempo de Invierno ...

que buena cansion y luego anne nurmi

  • I love this band.

    <3

  • Wow you are annoying you shouldnt talk anymore

  • I am glad that there is some classic DEATH ROCK vidz out there Thanks for postin!

  • This is not deathrock.

  • what is your definition then??????

  • Just like most modern Deathrock ;)

  • This is no way Deathrock, this is Gothic Rock :/

  • You obviosly shop at hot topic and have no taste and probabley listen to my chemical romance so fuck off these guys were original yah douche next time you should blame hottopic and mtv instead asshole
