  • amazing ...turning the phrase "and when your fortune's falling"into an ascending glide "G.Giddins

  • we are singing this song in austin girls choir

  • sarah seemed to be a combination of those who came before her, she synthesized

  • WHAT A BEAUTY!!!! QUE HERMOSURA!!!!!

  • LOVE IT..

  • What a great voice.I'm sure she is singing with the angels.

  • What album is this tune on?

  • @ThisIDig swingin' easy.

  • en realidad es una voz preciosa, linda como una tarde en el jardin y un beso de tu amado

  • Sarah you were the best. I saw you and heard you sing at Bird Land back in 1954 I think it was, and all the guys couldn't help falling in love with you.

I'm 78 years old and I still remember. Where ever you are, many thanks for the memory.

  • @aarrow1897 Do you remember the MC that Birdland had? He was a midget named Pee Wee Marquette.

  • @SatchmoSings I was there then. One drink and nurse it at the bar until 4.

  • Sarah Vaughan...perfection. Such a shame, the music - the REAL music - that has been lost amidst the computers and machines that make "music" what it is today. Jazz...a lost art. Thanks for sharing.

  • Down below speaks the truth

  • i miss real music, now its just crap made by druggies

  • So smooth

  • I love Sarah Vaughan but Billie Holiday's version touches something inside me tht Sarah's lacks but both are amazing.Y isnt there music like this anymore :(

  • direfranchement ,you are truely great collecter of sarah's numbers ! due to your good works,we can listen sarah's younger voice.thank you for your uploading.

  • Sarah had the best female voice of the 20the Century! I've been loving her sassy flare...perfect pitch...and velvety voice since I was 14 (I'm now 44). Billie, Dinah, Lena, etc. were great, but Sarah was the most unique!! Thx for this post!

  • @bjlayla One can only be unique, not most unique. "Unique" cannot, grammatically, be qualified by an adverb. Otherwise, I agree with you. She was unique!

  • This is a beautiful rendition by Sarah Vaughn, though, personally, I like Billie Holiday's better.

  • Yes, I agree with you!

  • thanks for posting this. Nobody does it like Sarah!

  • swingin' easy, baby.

  • Absolutely the best vocal version of this song ever recorded. No contest!

  • @dencub While I've always loved Sarah since I first heard her, and as much as I love this version, I have to respectfully disagree. And of all the people to compare her to, I'd have to say Merle Haggard smoothness cannot be matched.

  • LOVELY!

    Thank u for the upload!
