@MrMrfreshboy1 It only stings a bit then wears off by the next game, eventually you just get used to it, i personally wear US Army ACU's when i go and play because thats my team's little uniform so it doesnt hurt that bad for me. If you're concerned, you can buy safety equipment at a sports shop or a pro paintball store.

Ok i played paintball for the first time today. Ive always hunted and this is like hunting humans! i love it !!! I wore overalls cause it was cold and a jacket. After the first game i took my boots and overalls off and put on my moccasins they work so much better there super quiet.

Another, I would add is that footwear not only needs to be suited to the terrain, but your own style ... I play a lot in light woods and those mates who are "slow" usually wear hiking boots, but my fast play style and it can get a little slippery ... I have a pair of astro-turf trainers which are a comfortable cross between football boots and trainers (lots of small rubber studs).

I would add a couple of noted ... Certainly if you plan on playing more than just a one-off ... I would recommend a "cup" for guys; in some 15 years of playing, I have taken one straight hit (convinced me to go shopping) and one very close call ... so, not much chance of the "hit", but better to be safe than sorry.

I got shot in the calf last weekend and I'm rockin a 5 inch bruise (wearing jeans)... velocity spike or the little punk cranked up his velocity.

a pod is sort of like a reload for a paintball gun.

take a baggy shirt. use the belt to hold your pods and tuck your shirt into your belt. after reloading, take the pod and put it down the back of your shirt. that might work but walmart should have some pretty cheap pod packs laying around.

it really doesn't hurt, it's more of a shock when you get hit, of course it does vary depending on where you get hit and the distance, if it hurts for more than a few seconds you either got it in the hand, neck, or ballz....or the other person has their gun turned up to high

Bunkering is intense. Dont get stuck putting your back to a bunker. stay a little bit away from your cover/concealment. it makes popping up and shooting easier and you are much more mobile. If you are new and playing with friends, I dont thing you'll have to worry about it too much.

The only thing you need to worry about is playing in the heat. If you start to sweat it can get on your glasses and make seeing nearly impossible. I switched to contacts to play, and Holy is right a Proto Switch mask works great, and so does Empire Events masks.

Naa don't worry about it. It's summer right now so where something that is appropriate to the weather. Pants are a must, and if you have volley ball or Rollerblade knee pads where those they will help you for crawling around without scratching your knees. A short sleave t-shirt should be just fine, once your adrenalin gets pumping (whitch it will) you wont worry about getting hit at all.

3.JEANS!

4. This works awesome wear shin guards cuz if get shot in the shin it'll bounce off.

5. Also wear anything camoflouge or any dark colors.
