@sk8remo240 actually it can be properly called "duck" tape even when not referring to the brand when it was invented during World War II for sealing ammunition cases it was called duck tape because the vinyl coat made it waterproof like duck feathers and also because the fabric layer is reminiscent of cotton duck. It was later adapted for repairs on air ducts and began being called duct tape but the fact is either is correct and if you really wanted to argue it duck would be the most correct

@LusciousApril You can use duct tape as a casing for exploding shells, salutes, and to secure salutes to rocket motors. It provides a way to make a bang without creating shrapnel. I have a BATF license, and I prefer to use duct tape over cardboard tubing, since then I do not have to use glues at all. Duct tape stuck to itself makes a wonderfull, non sticky material, that can be molded into a casing or tube to pack black powder into, along with anything else.
