actually theres already been doc 11, he regenerated to himself, but was still a regeneration............also, if he can use regenerated energy to heal himself............then why doesnt he just do that every regeneration? makes no sense.........thanks RTD

The Doctor CANT Use the energy to heal himself all the time because then he would need A "Biological Matching Receptacle" ie: his severed hand.

And Timelord Physiology with the regenerations who know if say if "Tom Baker" AKA "4" had a hand laying around somewhere, but he regenerated Elsewhere & didn't use it could Peter Davison Use that hand to stave off a regeneration? or would it no longer match since every cell changed in his body from 4 to 5's body?

although colin baker wasnt actually involved in that scene. he was so angry at being du,ped last minute that he didnt want to film the regeneration. mccoy wore a wig and the coat. this is why the dr was turned over by mel before we saw him regenerating, so we didnt see mccoys face.
