actually I do know what im talking about. I have a Toyota myself and I make my friends fords and chevy trucks look like babies you have no clue what I can do with a toyota. So if I were you shut the fuck up because in the 808 toyota is were its at other than jeep. Talk about 4x4 not gay ass mud bogging.
When chevy's are young they wish they could grow up to be toyota's......HAHAHA!!! look at this 4 cyl tacoma tearing up this v8 chevy, HAHAHA!! I bet you chevy fanboys are pissed!!!
The D-Max is obviously in neutral. And if you notice, everytime D-Max hits the brakes. The Jap truck stops DEAD!!! And the whole mud tires vs. street tires cheating thing didn't even help...This isn't funny this is just pathetic. Dude, save your money, buy a man's truck and let us know when you're balls drop.
ok i don't wanna be mean here but this is kinda of a joke. The duramax wasn't even trying. The main time the chevy was just chilling and the toy still couldn't do it. Toy had mud tires and kept diggin holes while the chevy had street tires. Sorry but a v-6 won't pull a d-max.
@RacingRocks12 I know, see my first post (the one with 26 thumbs-up). I was pointing out to someone that for this purpose HP is useless. You could have 2000 hp and 200 ft lbs of torque and someone with 200 hp and 600 ft lbs of torque will walk away with it (given weight and traction are equal).
first off, that little ass V6 would never stand a chance against the Dmax. second, the toy's got mud tires, the Dmax's got street. finally their trying to pull inwhat looks like loose ass dirt. DUMB. and the driver of the Dmax is dumb, why would you drive your truck with street tires out in the mud. get a pair of 33 boggers then talk to me
wow the chevy driver is so letting him him dont know why but he could push on the brakes and say go to hell but on the street tug o war chevy will when
@duramaxjad4 Seems to me the Toyota was digging itself into the dirt even more than the Chevy as far as loss of traction goes. Besides that, The Chevy has double the hp and torque of the Toyota. Tires should not be much of a concern at that point.
@22reTOYOTA if your saying that a Tacoma would beat a 3/4 or 1 ton chevy silverado duramax in a tug of war....... Chevy duramax is the most powerful engine you can get in a pick up with 725 ft/lbs of torque. whats the tacoma producing? like 200? hook that tacoma up to my duramax and it wouldnt have a chance i hace a 6 inch lift with super swapmers,
@duramaxjad4 Im just watching the video. I agree with you. Did I say "Double the hp and torque"? The Chevy sould have walked away without a problem. Im not a off-road driver,or own a 4x4. I just like to watch videos and read the comments about who and what is better. Kinda like "My Dad can beat up your Dad" in elementary school.
If you listen...the Duramax doesn't hit the gas at all. At one point in the vid there is slack on the pull strap and the Toyota is still spinnin its tires trying to move forward...rigged all the way.
:42 to :48 tells it all..mud tires or not..come on!! its a v6 vs v8! no tacomas arent big full sized trucks..but theyre the freakin best mid sizedsitting in every lot across this globe!
wtf every time right before the toyota moves forward, the durmax puts it in reverse. it is really obvious on the last part because the toyota isnt even moving and the tow strap touches the ground as the chevy moves back WTF is that about
Actually. You fuckers don't know shit. Isuzu used to be the majority holder. But it's now 60/40. And gm owns the majority. So stop with all the " oh it's not true 100% gm.
wtf? lol talk about a rigged up set up! hahaha The guy drivin the chev was not even tryin?! and that toyota would have lost its engine and tranny if this was a real pull off. hahahahahahaha
haha this makes me laugh i own both an 09 taco 4.0 v6 6sp stick and a lmm duramax...even with a new modded 4.0 i promise it wont budge that duramax....stock without any tuners regardless of tires but outta all the mudbogs iv been this is still pretty damn funny
@shagge13 i havent been a fan of ford for a long time. im hardcore dodge dude lol. but i just so happen to own a 84 f250 with a 351 windsor, 4spd granny, 4x4, solid axle, locked all the way round. she aint bad. pulls like a raped ape when hooked up to somethin. i got it cheap. i just wanna lose the 33's and go with 35 boggers. i have 6 inches of suspension, i think i can clear em'. if i can find a gas getter beater car, ill just use it for muddin.
@shagge13 looks to me that the yota is your typical toyota that you see everywhere around town drivin by 18 year old redneck wannabes. its whatever though...i dont like neither of the trucks. duramaxs are junk. as far as the yota goes, if it aint a 22r, i dont want it. hook a cummins up to both these trucks, grass, dirt, mud, or pavement and see what happens.
aww all this shit talkin bout duramaxs up here and you couldnt snag on a lil toyota? i wouldnt have put this shit on video. pavement or not it dont matter. looks to me like the toyota moved him everytime even while climbin up the dirt pile at the end. with the weight and torque of ANY diesel fullsize, he shouldve snatched that yota around till the ujoints came out of the toyota.every duramax ive seen around locally are pieces of shit. and i like chevy...
How much did that guy have to pay the guy driving the Duramax to stage this Toyota confidence booster? Nowhere and in nobody's wildest dreams could a puny V6 out pull a Duramax!
@Chumwise theres more than just the issue of hp in play hea....what about grip? the toyota has better tires...u can have all the hp in the world but if u cant get it to the ground its not doing you any good
Sorry try again. Why don't you people do some research first? It is a jointly designed engine between GMPT (GM Powertrain) and Isuzu. It is built right here in the US (cast block, machining, etc.)
@Chumwise hahaha ya i know he had mud tires better traction but still theres no way he even let the guy pull him in the middle of the video u can see the dmaxs tires spinning backwards as the toyotas goin forwards.LOL
i guess doing this could show a difference between weight and power vs large tires with more aggressive tread pattern? dmax would demolish the tacoma on pavement no question.
on pavement i think it would be a tie because the chev has stiff tires, if it had stock and soft tires it would win because of its own weight which is quite a bit more than the yota, but the yota would last longer and have way less issues and if they both started hopping the chev would have probably broken something.
That Tacoma's pretty bad ass to even be able to hold its own to a truck that is not just more powerful, but that duramax is also heavier. Thumbs up for the Tacoma.
I second that. Where was the pavement, and did the guy in the GM fall asleep? We're talking a baby Yoda here versus a truck that could go against 3 of these things pulling all all once - come on now.
codyadams500... If his tires are turning then he's trying. He wasnt givin it a bunch of hell but he WAS trying. You cant hardly pull a truck out of holes like that, especially when it just keeps digging more, even if its a little truck.
nickbeezy1... Really!!! Thats what an engine does!!??? You dumbshit, read my post again, maybe have your big sis help you with the big words. Engine SIZE means nothing in a tug of war, sometimes an overpowered engine hurts you as a matter of fact. It dont matter if its a 4cyl against a V10, whoever gets the best traction will win... EveryTime
holy fuck lol theres less traction u fucking idiots go do it on cement!!!! FOR FUCK SAKES!!!!! oh ya look at me im cool playing tug of war on ICE!!!! LOL
The size of the engine makes no difference whatsoever, only adds weight to the front of the vehicle which only helps slightly. Also, the mud tires on the toyota dont help it pull amy better in the mud, it only lets it dig down real fast and its really hard to pull another truck out of holes that deep when its pulling against you. Put em on blacktop and the toyota wont have a prayer... Obviously. Weight + traction= winner, engine power and brand of vehicle has nothing to do with it children
well, the tires on the tacoma look much more mud worthy than the ones on the other truck. do this test again with the same kind of tires. even though im a toyota fan, im pretty sure the truck with the bigger engine would win if its tire could dig into the mud as much as that tacoma is
That was THE MOST WORTHLESS competition that I have ever seen. Let's try water skipping with a JD lawnmower vs a Case IH 7120 and declare a winner too!
fucking duramax isnt even pulling the only time the tacoma gets any ground is when you see the sling go slack and obviously to get an acurate comparision it should be on pavement and have the same tires if you want a pull of. all this is is simply that one guy pulling off another
dmax is in 2wd lol, yea if they were on the street....

"What the hell did I just watch"

LOL

haha wtf why do people try it on mudd.
randytune88 1 year ago
looks like the dmax wasnt even trying. plus the fact the jap had decent tires. try pavement next time
ktmyamaha01 1 year ago
The size of the engine makes no difference whatsoever, only adds weight to the front of the vehicle which only helps slightly. Also, the mud tires on the toyota dont help it pull amy better in the mud, it only lets it dig down real fast and its really hard to pull another truck out of holes that deep when its pulling against you. Put em on blacktop and the toyota wont have a prayer... Obviously. Weight + traction= winner, engine power and brand of vehicle has nothing to do with it children
DrMcelroy 1 year ago
@DrMcelroy hey a truck would go no where with only weight and traction the engine propels it forward
nickbeezy1 1 year ago
well, the tires on the tacoma look much more mud worthy than the ones on the other truck. do this test again with the same kind of tires. even though im a toyota fan, im pretty sure the truck with the bigger engine would win if its tire could dig into the mud as much as that tacoma is
DreadlockDrummer 1 year ago
if your full size looses against a Toyota you suck dick.
AbominationMachine 1 year ago
That was THE MOST WORTHLESS competition that I have ever seen. Let's try water skipping with a JD lawnmower vs a Case IH 7120 and declare a winner too!
bricklef 1 year ago
look at the eaters on the toyota.. of course its gonna fuckin pull in the mud. I bet if you hooked a sled to it, it wouldnt go anywhere
dalejr8630 1 year ago
well that proved a lot

if you're on dirt the best tires will win, not the best truck. DUH!
gant555 1 year ago
it doesn't matter if u put them on ice, the d max is still gonna win it's heavier
jdecker89 1 year ago
you really putting a tacoma vs a duramax. lol toyotas blow.
badassszr2 1 year ago
fucking duramax isnt even pulling the only time the tacoma gets any ground is when you see the sling go slack and obviously to get an acurate comparision it should be on pavement and have the same tires if you want a pull of. all this is is simply that one guy pulling off another
