And it's mentioned in this episode that Lucas has two jobs, but I can not remember the last time Lucas was at work!

Therefore, if Lucas has two jobs, he couldn't he just save up and buy the bike later?

Also, why turn this into a long-winded storyline nobody will enjoy/ care about?
