This is all a million miles away from the mean minds of today's mouse-klickers. This is real working people giving 100% committment to entertaining themselves and each other. Sadly very few young people are given the freedom to enjoy larking about in a 'dance hall' or youth club these days. This is not their fault, it's down to television, mean minded jealousy of the 'social guardians' and the fear of any groups of people coming together in a 'counter-cultural' context without generating profits
Jeez WTF!!! This is DISCO at its horrid worst..........looks like a very bad attempt at New York 'Studio 54' but set in Birmingham!!!! Hahahahhaaaaa! This has as much relationship to Soul, let alone Northern, as the Bay City Rollers!!!!
I'm sure a lot of people miss the Regency as it was the best place to be -great dancers fantastic music from the DJ.s especially Jim Mc Cracken who really his music- these guys used to go to Wigan Casino[the home of Northern Soul] and did not let themselves down -fantastic days

Brought back some lovely memoriies. We used to promote alot of Jazz Funk nighters in Peterborough and some truly memorable ones (well vaguely lol) Some Dynamite Djs and sounds, as well as the meeting of the tribes! North meets South with Peterborough joining them up!
