  • I think there is room for improvement.

    After hitting his first target (at around 00:07) he takes a pause. It's a very small pause, but I would expect that you could improve that because it's a TAS run. However, I am not positive, because I am not exactly sure how long of a pause is required after a Z-Cancel. From my own personal experience, it seems like Z-Cancels are 100% instant recoveries, so I'm a little skeptical about the time of this being top-notch.

  • @eqeek You need to make that pause right there and wait for the moving platform to rise high enough in order to have enough room for ledge-cancelling the UpB at the upper floor. In other words: you can't jump earlier.

  • Is the dair necessary to reach the platform with target 1? Wouldn't it be faster with a nair or uair?

    PS. Link can't slide, can he?

  • I'm not 100% familiar with 64's physics so I maybe wrong, and I don't know if d-air give downward momentum like it does in Brawl (I don't think it does), but you can FF and attack with in the same frame with a D-air getting you to the ground faster so you can jump again faster.

  • D-airs don't give downward momentum in Brawl, except for stall-then-falls.

  • That's what I was talking about, but now that I think about it I think it was only Toon Link not Link that had a STF D-air.

  • I think it was just the optimal positioning of the hitbox that nair or uair didn't have in that situation. Not sure.

  • Both of you are noobs. Z-cancel eliminates 100 % of aerial lag on all attacks, so it doesn't matter what attack he uses to hit it, he did that specifically so that it would boost him up to the platform above him because a second jump wouldn't do that normally. And why the hell would Link "slide?" Wtf are you even talking about, the edge-cancelled up B?

  • I meant the boost, yes. I thought the n/uair could be used to reach the platform as well. Sliding/teleporting like this: watch?v=R7yJnCxoERk

    It could give Link a push to the first platform. BTW, why isn't there an edgecancel at the last target? Wouldn't that be faster?

  • It's probably not possible. At least not at those frames. To do an edge cancel, it would take longer than normal.
