@Barrenthevampire I'm a Hwoarang player, but when I tried playing online with him, the way I fight with him wasn't effective at all when there's lag, so now I fight with Baek online. Lag messes up timing, and timing is what makes me a good Hwoarang player offline.

o i agree with u fully, but that doesnt mean that ever character is equal, most characters come with different properties, and hwoarngs properties are better tjem jin, but that doesnt mean a jin user cant beat him, but that does mean the jin player has to work harder in order to win

I disagree. Every character is equal. I can say there are people that play with hwoarang and jin, they're extremely good. It's the person behind the char. People think too much about tier list. Practice, practice, practice.

1 thing is for sure, Jin is undoubtly the hardest character to master in this game. Even if you mastered him, it doesn't make it any easier for you to beat any of the other top tier characters like Bryan, Steve and etc. His style is just too defensive-oriented.

@FireTrainer92 Well, I agree that Baek/Hwoarang are hard to master but only to beginners. Once you gotten used to their movesets, you can practically giving hard times to your opponents by using their Flamingo cancellings to play mind games with them.

While for Jin, is a completely different story. He don't have effective mix-ups like most of the characters do (Baek,Hwoarang,Steve,etc). He only has safe pokes and solid movesets with him.

@codenamekai Well, Jin's parrying may sounds like a neat idea but you have to be a mind reader to do so (nearly impossible due to its strict timing). He don't have god fist, but a hook fist that only juggles on CH (not really his best move but can pressure his opponents a little). His best moves are his safe pokes (b+2,1 , 2,1,4 and etc.) and ws+2 (safe launcher that good at punishing blocked lows or whiffed high)

Jin was an incomplete character in 5 not dr which made him fairly hard to use, in dr u see he has gained a few more moves and changed controls for moves, he was slow but meant to make up with that in power, now in my opinion he is much better in this game but still more difficult to use then the other more user friendly characters which still puts him at B tier, but he in my opinion is still a better character, faster, more fluent, and smooth to play

actually, if u read forums on tekken zaibatsu, hwoarang is an all around better character then jin, he does more damage has better mixup and better bound moves as that is one of the biggest problems with jin, jin is low b tier since ive last looked and thats because hes not as good when playing in tournaments, hwoarang is much easier to use then jin is

no matter what u say and no matter how good u are.... jin is severely underpowerd online against most characters even if u are good its still possible to lose against cheapasses like brian.... with his sweep juggle... jin doesnt have a sweep bound juggle unless its a counter.... offline jin isnt that underpowered but online its best to use an other char

i think that hwaorang is better than jin, in my opinion tho. one reason i do taekwondo like him too. another reason is that his combos and moves are so badass, better than king's moves. plus they r really powerful and fast. coz thats wht taekwondo is about, speed.

@devilledevil98 yes, in taekwondo sparring u mostly do kicks and u only punch in close range and for combos. i learned to never use punches as my first move in sparring or in a combo. plus kicks are for the body and head, and if u punch to the head in taekwondo sparring, u get a warning.

For points:

kick to the body = 1 point

punch to the body = 1 point

kick to the head = 2 points

jump kick to the body = 2 points

jump kick to the head = 3 points

He also said that Taekwondo only is kicking and there punches are weak.

A good hwaorang player is a nightmare ... I always wind up losing to them because I use Lei and its hard to get away from a good Hwaorang. Usually only really skilled players know how to use him properly because of the difficulty in using his flamingo... Props to Jin on his win but the Hwaorang player wasn't near to being good.

The peoblem with howrang is his long it takes to catch himself after his hit freeze like when he tries his 3 hit kick, if u miss the last one u have to wait a sec before you could attack.
