RTD's scripts and interference blow huge chunks.

Moffat's writing is exceptional (Empty Child, Blink, Silence in the Library, and others). When he starts, all the viewers will wonder why we've had to suffer RTD forcing camp nonsense on us for five years!

I like both of their script writing techniques. I must admit, Moffat's writing is just magnificent. The ones you've mentioned there are just mind blowing and dark.

Davies is a different kind of writing. It's more child like, happy, exciting and full of action. This is particularly good for young viewers.

But seeing as the past Doctor Who episode/parts in the classic series, having Moffat taking over is a good decision. We're heading towards a Doctor darker than the 7th: The Valeyard.

RTD can never work out a sensible ending and just fills his script full of gay references because he thinks he's still writing Queer as Folk (where it would've suited).

For example, the series 4 finale had a line crammed in (which could've been dropped as had no response from anyone after - and was clearly cut in to the dialogue if you watch) where Jack said "Oh, you don't want to know what I'm thinking!" to the thought of a foursome with the Doctors and DoctorDonna!)

Most of the gay references would go over the heads of children, but they're still thrown in for no reason. Another was in Daleks in Manhattan when they were all underground (Doctor, Martha & Frank - the pig-faced guy). Martha solves something, Doctor says: "Oh, I could kiss you Martha! You too, Frank!"

Er... eh?? It's additional lines like that which stick out like a sore thumb because (a) they're not necessary + (b) It's just RTD saying, "Hey, I'm gay, you know!" There's a time and a place(!)

I'm kind of annoyed that Doctor who did go off air at the end of the 80's because it meant that I was deprived of it when I was little (still had plenty of repeats though!), but also I'm kind of glad it did because if it hadn't we may not have had Russel T Davis (or David) who is a complete genius and I will honestly miss him as much as I'll miss David! I'm a little worried about how the shows going to go with out him! Steven Moffat is very good but he's not quite on the same level as RTD!
