  • I was 23 when this series aired and had never laughed out loud before when watching a cartoon. :) Mighty was framed on a paranoid trumped up cocaine charge and I'm so disappointed no other network has the courage to air the series. C'mon, network execs, SOMEBODY pick it up, please? (BTW, The Cow? Best...villian...EVER!)

  • Rape Rodent, 'nuff said.

  • why does this make me....depressed? hey, i LOVE retro cartoons , i do,but mighty mouse is just.......meh, to me.

  • Mighty Mouse, the evolved form of Mickey Mouse. His large surprise has been concluded from turning the main cheerful character of Disney to a mighty superhero, allows him to use his incredible superpowers to fight crime and save the day continuously.

  • Sweet!! Thank you! (my VHS was gettin kinda old! LOL)

  • I believe that Bakshi had licencing problems with the good folks at Terrytoons and affiliates. While you are not alone in the hope of seeing these cartoons on DVD, if you were wise, you have them on VHS (I do).

  • @Ronwixziv The New Adventures was released on dvd a couple years ago....Netflix has it.

  • i still sing this song in my head...

  • 26 people were vanquished with a mighty blow

  • brilliant, my favorite as a child <3

  • Ahhh, that takes me back. I used to worship this cartoon growing up. I pity the kids nowadays that have to settle for what passes for entertainment. Bring back the classics like Mighty Mouse and Woody Woodpecker.

  • @DarkSyde24 Ain't it the Truth!?! :-(

  • #t=25s ... Just saying

  • I was born in the '80's. We had good cartoons, but nothing compared to mighty mouse.

  • Thank god it's finally on DVD!!

  • HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAAY!! ^^

  • Haha I've not seen that in about 20 years. I used to watch this as a kid and I STILL to this sing the song. Seems odd seeing it again after all this time. Very cool indeed!!!

  • @shitcasecinema 23 for me, but it was great and I TOO sing it here on youtube. It really is odd isn't, but good just the same.

  • This show completely went over my head when I was a kid.

  • Fuck Mickey!!! Mighty Mouse owns it !!!!

  • @SgtCrocodile Yes sir!!! :-D

  • Liar Liar: - "Here she comes to wreck the daaaaaaay!" :-)

  • @Parasite1101 MR REEED!!! LOL! 'sorry your honour!" :D

  • Did he pull out the cap from the front of his pants?...

  • Ralph Bakshi, the best animator ever.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion Damn right.

  • You know what I found out just now. There was a cut jump between 0:40 - 0:41. Didn't the people forgot to add in anything at all? Anyway pretty good theme song.

  • @Wingham64409 it is cut because of the fact that mighty mouse snorted a white powder that made him stronger

this cartoon was made before cocaine got big but when it did people said that it was cocain and it was banned from tv

  • @CordsStopMotion4U That's not what I meant. I meant the intro. Didn't you look at it closer.

  • @CordsStopMotion4U You must be very young if you think 1987 was "before cocaine got big".

  • ...If Superman and Mickey Mouse had a lovechild.

  • Ralph Bakshi AND John Kricfalusi? This show already kicks major assage

  • @Spazticle11

did he animate ren and stimpy?

  • @chica476 John K? Yeah, he animated it, came up with the idea, and I think he voiced Ren to, but due to him and his team missing deadlines constantly and just making things too fucked-up for people to handle, Nick gave him the boot.

  • @Spazticle11 yeah it's pretty legendary.

    infamous, too. pretty much banned.

  • This wasnt the mighty mouse song I remember that is for sure it wasnt that long!

  • :25 ...speed racer?

  • I remember this version of mighty mouse! I was like 4 or 5 years old and was watching it and my mother over heard the theme song and she was like Is that Mighty Mouse?! I was like yeah, and she sang along the theme song and I think I remember her dancing too lol! I was a fan of Mighty Mouse and so was my mother :-D that was cool.

  • @HRbluetiger07 - that is like so weird like

  • Is that Mighty Mouse at a glory hole at 24 seconds?

  • @kissed61 lol, little high dontcha think

  • i´m searching for the german version of this theme! does anybody knows where i can find it?

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • Wow, now there's a show I haven't seen in years! Last I remember seeing was something with a comet or something

  • mighty mouse fans i have news mighty mouse gets a live action movie in 2013

  • HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY LALALALALA

  • Mighty Mouse Vs Atom Ant......EPICNESS!!!

  • mi super raton en mi infancia

  • I've always wondered why people said Ralph Bakshi an' John Kricfalusi's art styles were similar. Now I know! :D

  • Essa trilha sonora é simplesmente DIVINA!

    Uma verdadeira obra de arte!

  • John K. of Ren & Stimpy fame worked on this with Ralph!

  • how are you a superhero and have to work a 9-5 job???? lol im just saying????

  • @WarriorClass22 'Cos superheroes never get paid...

  • Okay, there was Mighty Mouse and Underdog. Did they ever make a Cat superhero in the 40's to 60's to fill in that missing gap?

  • @Mcheetah Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse. released in syndication to local channels. Never had national network coverage. batman-style w/ Catcave, Catmobile, & various devices

  • Man, Ralph Bakshi did everything.

When I saw his name in the description box I had to click this video.

  • Andy Kaufman FTW !

  • lol crotch itch at :26 thats bakshi for ya lol. this looks like a cool series!

  • He hides his hat in his pants thats very manly I'll try that see what happens in real life lol XD jk

Love this show but its hard to find this in the UK.

  • Out of all the cartoons from the 80s, this is the absolute best. You can tell this was actually made by cartoonists, something we didn't see in other 80s shows.

  • @happyd00dle Sam Simon, one of the creators of the Simpsons, worked on this show.

  • @non1mus Tons of the Mighty Mouse artists worked on other shows like Tiny Toons but it was controlled by a not so great system, or network executives, so that explains why it was a terrible show. You can have the best cartoonists work on a project, but it all depends who's really in control.

Ralph Bakshi's New Adventures of Mighty Mouse was the closest to having cartoonists take charge for the first time without dealing much with the network executives or people that had no place in cartoons.

  • i got the mighty mouse shirt =)

  • I remember as a kid there was something very wrong with these episodes, they were for sure perverted, gay undertones, sleazy jokes, and the use of women. All that it is still genuis stuff

  • best show every was when he was having a bodybuilding competition and the humour and animation were wild. Wish I could see that ep again

  • I watched them all 50 years ago

This is one reason so many Americans hate Cats.

    LOL

  • I love this animated series

  • I love this show so much, but this intro is like the opposite of an AMV-- the footage on screen isn't even synced to the song. In some places the song actually contradicts the action on screen: at 0:20, the line "Thank goodness Mighty Mouse is on his way" plays over footage of Mighty Mouse changing back into Mike Mouse!

  • Oh wow, this IS iritating. I think I'd go irreversibly insane if I had to listen to this too much.

  • he pull that hat out of his penis?

  • KKKKKKKK mt bom!

    velhos tempos!!

  • I remember watching the dvd series with my stepdad, he was the one who got me hooked on this, everytime we'd watch it, we'd get this song stuck in our heads. XD I'd come downstairs for breakfast and be whistling this.

  • When I was a child, I adored this series. I would love to see The New Adventures again to relive some nostalgia ! :)

  • Awesome, this is a classic! Does anyone have the last episode that was controversial and ended the series?

  • I loved the Mighty Heroes episode. I think they worked for "Man, Man, Man, & Man Accounting", or something like that.

I've got three Mighty Mouse: TNA cels I got from a Spumco auction several years ago.

  • eu ainda me lembro desse desenho... época de moleke...etá tempinho bom heim!!!.. agora só ficou saudade!!!

  • Can you imagine how bland 90s cartoons would have been without this? A classic.

  • 'Here he comes to save the day' still randomly comes into my head 20 years later. I really can't remember much of the actual episodes though

  • I used to be Mighty Mouse, I quit when I turned 10. I'm returning for my funeral.

  • ...I always wondered the origin of my friend's battlecry over ventrilo: "Heeere I come to pwn your faaaace!"

  • @TheMajinBuu I only said it doesn't look like ren and stimpy - didn't like that show anyway.

Also there was no need for yous rudeness =P

  • Looks just like Ren and Stimpy, I even knew that as a kid.

  • @TheMajinBuu you obviously never watce Mighty Mouse =P because this looks NOTHING like Ren and Stimpy =P

  • @Deadboy360 John Kricfalusi was one of the animators in Mighty Mouse. Hmmm how why do I know that name?? Oh yes HE CREATED REN AND STIMPY.

  • @TheMajinBuu BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

  • where the feature MM where he fights harry the heartless whos trying to get the doomsday device?

  • steriod testing on rodents.... so sad

  • Awesome video, I remember watching reruns of this show when i was little i always liked it since Mighty Mouse reminds me of a mouse version of Superman especially with the quote: Here I Come to Save the Day!!! wich is like Superman's quotes: Up Up and Away or This Looks Like a Job for SUPERMAN!!!! Mighty Mouse is Awesome

  • One the best cartoons ever! It's a shame that todays cartoons really suck!

  • Man, I remember trying to get up as early as possible on Sat to watch it. Great cartoon! My first exposure to Mighty Mouse.

  • great cartton!!!

  • i know this may sound funny but i wanna know which one where he spanked his enemy:P

  • This is the series where it allegedly had a scene where Mighty Mouse sniffed cocaine--or at least what looked like cocaine. (But then again, it was animated by Ralph Bakshi, the same guy who animated Fritz the Cat.) Anyone know where I can find that bit?

  • this is just what I was looking for love this mighty mouse song theme

  • LOL I didnt remember that he reached down into his crutch to get his hat. Classic! XD

  • is this the exact song Andy Kaufman did his dance to?

  • Yes

  • did he ever sex that girl mouse up???

  • My eyes welled up a bit, hearing the theme song flashed my childhood and thousands of memories instantly right before my eyes.

  • I haven't heard that theme song since it was on TV. What a gem. I really want to buy the DVD box now.

  • Ralph Bakshi, an animation god, did a hell of an amazing job of Mighty Mouse.

  • what ever hapend to bashki and his studios did they go out of bisnes? the last thig he did was cool world and nothing eless after that

  • @philj77 Actually, after "Cool World," he also did an animated series for HBO, called "Spicy City."

  • @philj77 He also worked on "Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon" in 2003. It was sort of a sequel to the "Fire Dogs" episode.

  • You can get the whole series on AMAZON US

  • Ralph Bakshi - what a sick and twisted motherfucker - and I loved every minute of it. My daughter was 1 year old when this version came out - and quickly got yanked when Terrytunes was accused of showing Mighty Mouse sniffing cocaine (he was sniffing flowers, but it was suggestive). Fucking sensitive idiot parents. That was the end of MM. What a great show.

  • Not offended, just stupid that a 60 year old still talks like that.

  • I'm not 60 - my profile says that to throw people off. But I'm also not 30. As far as the language, I stand by what I wrote. Too many people make it their business to tell you how to do your business. To them I say, shove it up your ass.

Maybe you haven't experienced this yet, but one day, when some unfulfilled, unattractive woman (that's the typical profile of this type of person) tells you that you shouldn't be doing something because she's offended, you'll understand.

  • Yes indeed, our wishes have come true...the complete series is available on DVD! :D

  • @BobHershey OH FUCK WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME JESUS CHRIST *buys immediately*

  • It's been So LONG AGO . . . but i remember the bit at 0:05.

Thanks for this! Just surprised at the style of this animation: angular and scrappy.

  • mighty mouse is like mickey mouses' buff cousin whos addicted to steroids :D

  • You got your wish. The entire series is out now.

  • Good memories. ^^

  • DVD is out TODAY!!

  • official DVD set to be out in 5 days :D

  • I was never a big fan of Might Mouse until this version came out. The animation style was fantastic.

  • Hey, buddy, they're releasing the complete series on DVD next month

  • @spikeriley

I'm So Happy!!!! this is one of the best cartoons and I don't give a shit about the Soccor moms complained about the sniffing flowers as a drug reference. Cartoon characters sniffed flowers like Mighty Mouse did.

  • yeah, but the scene you were talking about was removed because some dumb media watchdog thought it was cocaine instead of a flower.

  • To tell you the truth, that episode with that controversial scene is actually uncut, so you can actually see it without any sloppy editing.

  • HAHA right Barulez. But they're totally cool with the gay inuendo in children cartoons and the vile filth on MTV lol Some how a 35 yr old cartoon threatens them lol

  • i want to see danger mouse and mighty mouse fight one out to the death

  • @TheNotoriousMC - err Danger Mouse and Mighty Mouse are not real - just cartoon characters, therefore you won't see them fight it out, as they exist in separate entities

  • lol pause at 0:25 that cats eyes pops out when the mouse starts fondling his nutsuck for a hat!...

plus at the end that mouse thought he was getting some mouse pussy but got a door in the face! HAH!

  • lol.. funny shit... if i was mighty mouse i wouldda let the bad guys keep that hoe

  • John Kricfalusi created Ren & Stimpy. Ralph Bakshi was his mentor, and yes, this was the first show that John worked on before creating the famous Cat and Chihuahua.

  • I loved this cartoon - I think some of these animators must have gone on to do Ren & Stimpy . Just a guess but very similar in style and humor type.

  • This show was hilarious as hell. John Krichfaulsi (sp?) before Ren & Stimpy hitting his stride.

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid. Can't wait for the DVD.

  • This new version of 1987-1988 of Might Mouse is very funny!!!

  • I remember Mighty Mouse pounding the crap out of the bad guys and never letting them have it easy.

  • Awesome to see Ralph Bakshi and John Kricfalusi working together. It would be mega awesome if they released a movie together nowadays. I know I'd go see it--as long as it wasn't another Cool World. *shudder*

  • Amen to that.
