yeah i had one of these and had to change from what the instructions said cause it just would'nt work right. Hell when i figured out how to get to work right i combined the two roller coasters and it worked all the way without fail. Screw instructions be creative. for those who don't know what i mean by combining the two. There was another coaster kit that didn't have the loop, it was a spiral drop and i just did a spiral drop into a loop. it was so cool when i was a kid. I miss those days ;(

need to make the initial drops angle less steep and more gradual and you need to get it higher off the ground and more angled on the turns to reduce the g force on the car, itll go faster and lose less speed turning, roller coasters are all about harnessing gravity bro, just gotta harness some more of it

Not that you probably care, but when i was 11 back in 1995 and I was building this set NEW, I quickly figured out that the rollercoaster car was flawed, if you had tinkered whith the design a bit, you'd notice the rear weels were getting bound up. Easy to fix. I even added some weight to the car which helped greatly.

It failed because making a roller coaster is no easy job, you have to calculate the potential energy that the roller coaster reaches when it's at the top and if it's a mountain taller than the energy stored thanks to the potential energy, then by known reasons is going to fail and not continue going.

OMG!  I have one of these in my basement closet from like 20 years ago! I love it, it was an impulse buy...But it worked fine for me, you must not have, "The Knack" (Dilbert joke, so you may not get it) But still, so epic!
