  • George is mediocre,he just dances around like a headless chicken.

Albert Collins on the other hand...That's the shit...

  • I remember seeing this live, and I can never get tired of reliving it! This is one of my favorite moments of that remarkable day!!

  • They ROCK!!!!

  • RIP albert

  • George Thorogood is indeed BAD TO THE BONE!!!!! He proved it at Live Aid.

  • George Thorogood Kicked ass at Live Aid

  • Now this is real, great talent not like that no-talent screaming douche bag Kid Rock!

  • Remember seeing this broadcast live, great weekend of music.

  • I love George's guitar playing but Albert blew him straight out of the water...

  • @boxingin Yeah man , Collins really is the "Master Of The Telecaster" . No one to date can pull that signature sound off . AC is the one of the great blues giants and that's no lie . Check out if Trouble Was Money.

  • @BlackMusicGenre Yeah, I know alot about AC. The funny thing about AC is that he actually only plays half of his guitar... :) And how in the world does he bend so high with that capo on so high?

  • @boxingin Some people on youtube tried to knock him for that. Isn't that something how some people are? Yet, I bet that their favorite blues guitarist has tried to pull something from AC , if you know what I mean .

  • @BlackMusicGenre AC also has a killer vibrato.... Perhaps the best vibrato out of all! Yeah I've heard some people call him a "one trick pony" and that he's not the master of the telecaster but Roy Buchanan is ect ect...

  • @boxingin Roy's cool . It's kinda hard for me to take him serious at times . Man Albert is a unique player and he does sound like anybody else . That's what I like about him the most . I enjoy listening to Albert Collins he's has a sound of his own on that Telecaster. Have you been on any BB King videos lately ? I know you used to stop by that video with him and John Mayer and give people a piece of your mind . lol

  • @boxingin I download all my favorite videos to my Realplayer and that way I get two in one. I get to keep them on my computer and I don't have to read these "blues scholars" crap. It's funny how anyone can compare John Mayer to B.B King. lol

  • Albert could have walked over the top of the crowd - they were packed in so tight!

  • Perfect live band, their studio recordings do so little justice

  • two masters at work together, if only l can here more of this stuff today..bring back the good old days

  • this is amazing!!! georges crazy legs at 1.04!!classic!!

  • Pure rock 'n' roll at its best!!

  • George and the Destroyers weren't on the bill for Live Aid. Tears for Fears dropped out and George filled in for them.

  • Saw these 2 at the Electric Ballroom, Camden. Had a drink with Kirsty MacColl & her band (who'd just been supporting the Sex Pistols in Ireland) & met Rory Gallagher. Then just when l thought the night couldn't get any more adventerous, found out some F--ker had slashed 2 of my car tyres! Oh happy days...

  • Gotta love George's slide work!!!!!!

  • Mr. Collins made goo goo eyes at me once. Then we followed him into the street and he made the whole town happy! RIP good man, rest in peace.

  • I've seen Albert Collins play to a small crowd and make 'em wish it was a stadium he so damned got down. All the bullshit stops when Albert gets up there.

  • rock n roll motherfuckers!!

  • @wisesatyr72 YOU BET YOUR ASS BABY!!!!!!

  • this is just great!!!

  • amazing this is the real deal!

  • Great to see Albert in front of that huge crowd - what a treasure.

  • Awesome

  • struttingly phenomenal

  • What a treat to see these 2 enjoying each others company,,,,,,,Brilliant

  • Thanks to George for bringing some blues to Live Aid, and the late great Albert Collins. What a moment.

  • Brilliant to see this. This was the 1st time I ever saw George Thorogood (I was 14) and I loved it :-D

  • Great video...Great guitarists...George is badass...This man is Doctor Blues!!!

  • Haven't seen "The Sky is Crying" video anywhere, but Thorogood's Live Aid performance of "Who Do You Love" -- with special guest Bo Diddley! -- was put up this month. (Search Thorogood Live Aid)

  • Is anyone out there able to post the other great number they did at this performance, "the sky is crying"?

  • So glad you posted this. This gig was my introduction to George and the destroyers and, as you can imagine, I was totally blown away. Great stuff.

  • I see MTV simply took a feed from ABC for this one...

Or someone ripped from the DVDs.. shots match..
