@boxingin Yeah man , Collins really is the "Master Of The Telecaster" . No one to date can pull that signature sound off . AC is the one of the great blues giants and that's no lie . Check out if Trouble Was Money.
@BlackMusicGenre Yeah, I know alot about AC. The funny thing about AC is that he actually only plays half of his guitar... :) And how in the world does he bend so high with that capo on so high?
@boxingin Some people on youtube tried to knock him for that. Isn't that something how some people are? Yet, I bet that their favorite blues guitarist has tried to pull something from AC , if you know what I mean .
@BlackMusicGenre AC also has a killer vibrato.... Perhaps the best vibrato out of all! Yeah I've heard some people call him a "one trick pony" and that he's not the master of the telecaster but Roy Buchanan is ect ect...
@boxingin Roy's cool . It's kinda hard for me to take him serious at times . Man Albert is a unique player and he does sound like anybody else . That's what I like about him the most . I enjoy listening to Albert Collins he's has a sound of his own on that Telecaster. Have you been on any BB King videos lately ? I know you used to stop by that video with him and John Mayer and give people a piece of your mind . lol
@boxingin I download all my favorite videos to my Realplayer and that way I get two in one. I get to keep them on my computer and I don't have to read these "blues scholars" crap. It's funny how anyone can compare John Mayer to B.B King. lol
Saw this on tv when I was 7 years old...made me want to learn the guitar and play rock n roll. Saved up enough pocket money, bought a guitar, and been playing ever since :-) Thank you Albert Collins. R.I.P
Saw these 2 at the Electric Ballroom, Camden. Had a drink with Kirsty MacColl & her band (who'd just been supporting the Sex Pistols in Ireland) & met Rory Gallagher. Then just when l thought the night couldn't get any more adventerous, found out some F--ker had slashed 2 of my car tyres! Oh happy days...
I've seen Albert Collins play to a small crowd and make 'em wish it was a stadium he so damned got down. All the bullshit stops when Albert gets up there.
Haven't seen "The Sky is Crying" video anywhere, but Thorogood's Live Aid performance of "Who Do You Love" -- with special guest Bo Diddley! -- was put up this month. (Search Thorogood Live Aid)
George is mediocre,he just dances around like a headless chicken.
Albert Collins on the other hand...That's the shit...

George and the Destroyers weren't on the bill for Live Aid. Tears for Fears dropped out and George filled in for them.
