  • BEST PART!1 0:00 - 7:12

  • "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. "

  • I love this sound!!!

  • i like the song because it seems like its all about god eli is this is a great movie

  • @drewandlane Yes, the film stays with you and is awesome in every way

  • I was really glad to see that at the end, they preserved ALL the religious doctrines, not just the bible. At first I thought this was a Christian movie. But it wasn't. It was a human study piece, and that is what, in the end, life is really about.

  • finish the race

  • you faggot catholics act like you wudnt eat someone if your life depended on it

  • @JordyGuy42000 bro chill out and go to church sometime

  • @6:26 : you can imagine the episode of the "big flash" when all roots and standards of civilizations on Earth were nuked and turned into dust. That's a shame for San Francisco, used to be a great city...

  • this song will play when iam entering heaven

  • if you cant find warmth outta this , then im sorry.

  • 1) Get high

    2) Put on this song

    3) Watch planet earth with its sound turned off

    4) ????

    5) Profit!

  • @HatersGonnaHate6 couldnt have said it better myself

  • @HatersGonnaHate6 holy sht im gonan do that

  • I shall fear no evil For you are with me

  • AWESOME AND HEART TOUCHING

  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE INSTRUMENT?

  • @BlakeGriffinChannel: I think the name of this instrument is called "Awesome" but can't really be sure. Or it might be "Epic" one of the two.

  • am i the only one who feels no fear while listening t this song even in the middle of the night while all around you want to harm you?

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know if he was blind in the movie? I couldn't tell. He could read brail and when he killed the bird for food with the bow. He could hear it coming? Please I really want to know.

  • @MapleSyrupWaffles Spoiler warning!

    Yes he was

  • @jonterry2411 Thought so :)

  • Really like 2:12...especially the scene it played at in the film...just beautiful...

  • Im imagining if god just played this song really load from the heavens and everyone just sat and listened to it at once. Imagine how peaceful the world would be, if only for 7 minutes.

  • The Lord is always good to us. And some of us takes him for granted, which we shouldn't. We should pray and read our bible every day and night, give thanks for what we have that others don't, be thankful for our health and life, be thankful to see another year! But if you're close to dying, and have a time limit, use the last bit of your life to become a christian to have salvation, and don't be afraid to die. Because once you're a christian, you have peace, inner joy, and never be afraid.

  • @10tally oh my god realy stfu dont sit on youtube dont sell those words, like god would have wanted people like you advertising that shit

  • @skatemeiser I believe in what I want to believe in, and I'll spread the word if I want to. You can take in what I say, or ignore it.

  • God not exist. The song exist.

  • Excellent movie, story descended into fantasy at the end.

The Christian Bible (in its present form[check the Dead Sea Scrolls for a more accurate historical document}) was written by too many lonely guys with mental illness trying to find a way out of their own darkrness.

Don't be afraid of the dark...

  • Wow this is amazing. Super epic.

  • This is crazy on beats by dre

  • That was such a great movie the best movie i have ever saw!!.... this movie is on my FAV list. =)

  • anybody know the chords for piano keyboard? at 1:26

  • God is great!

  • The sirens near the end of the song is... kinda creepy. Reminds me of the sirens before the warheads fell out of the sky and tore holes in it, leaving the earth scarred and barren.

  • @SergeantLouis72 Exactly, all is well and peaceful throughout the song, almost giving off a happy yet uneasy feel. This feeling conveys the idea of the world before the bombs dropping.

  • me da pena la cancion pero me gustaa demaciaaado!!!!!! *-*!

  • If god reveals itself to me then yes i would follow it

  • The question is not is there a God, but will you choose to follow him?

  • @RobinHoodPlaysMW2 I don't think anyone could have said it better. Even if there is such a thing as a God who cares, if you follow it you follow anyone with power, we all know that doesn't always work out too well. I am my own God, I control what and when things happen to me, Even if outside forces act on me I will stay in control of what little I can, all things die, even Gods.

  • I don't think having faith in God is irrelevant, i just pity those that need that faith Because if there is a God, it is best served by those that need its help the least

  • KICK OUT THE EPIC MOTHERFUCKER!

  • Christ is always there no matter what he will never forsake us nor leave us.

  • If everyone had belief in themselves there would be no need of a GOD

  • I heard this on ewtn the Cathlic Channel the other day, I almost fell off my chair

  • Not to mention what an amazing movie.

  • No matter what mood im in this song always is amazing and puts me in a calm mood.

  • before i go to bed this song play in my head i look up at my celling and wonder if ill wake up to see another day

  • I Wana die to this song!! Jus perfect death song...

  • what is a man that are mindful of him and the son of man that thou visitest him?for thou had made him a little lower than angels and hast crowned him with glory and honor. PSALM 8 v-5 talking about JESUS 70n years before his birth

  • I am stoned with my eyes closed, and the moment 2:35 hits, I can feel the vibration of life. Truly the most amazing feeling in the world.

  • @LordTetsuoShima Mate, Same haha, It was so weird :p, I felt like I got hit by a train with thoughts about having a Nuclear War and shit, Amazing what weed does to you.

  • absolutely epic sound. great movie.

  • Only saving grace for this movie is this song

  • That's because belief in one's self is stronger than believing in God

  • @arcenside Nothing is stronger than believing in God.

  • I love this song. its so calming and peaceful... has a hint of 'higher power's at work'

  • My favorite movie. Watched it who knows how many times. Beautiful music, great story. Walk by faith, not by sight my friends. God bless.

  • @Polusviridisastrum I'm not what someone would call 'religious' but I'm someone who has belief. I could rant on about this, but I choose not to because most would already know what I mean by that, and what I'm getting to.

Do more for others than for yourself. My grandmother taught me that before she passed away.

    Loved this movie to death.

  • If this movie was a chip, it would be a very good chip

  • This guy co wrote and produced the score for the social net work. won a grammy for it in 2010 too. Guys a genius!!!1

  • This movie really showed how ugly human beings are on the inside when certain circumstances force them to reveal thier true nature. And that it is time for god to end this and renew the world. period.

  • @dipidulor That's kinda the exact opposite of what the movie was trying to convey.

  • @dipidulor Amen.

  • @dipidulor it also suggests that religion equals power to the one who is the head of such an organization

and it also shows how a true believer should be

  • @dipidulor

or the willingness of one man to chanthage that, the age old theory that all it takes is one man to bring forth change. Think all it took was moses and jesus for that matter. I am not a religious by no means, but this movie does glorify the strengths an individual has on certain circumstances to prevail on a willing journey by keeping faith. Something most people have lost in this day and age, faith that everything will work out. But also to carry that faith in to action.

  • @dipidulor When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other.

  • "Dear lord, now i go to rest, knowing i have fulfilled my duty in this life. Thank you for keeping me straight and true. Thank you for keeping me resolute when all around seemed lost. Watch over my friend as you watched over me. I fought the good fight, i finished the race.... I kept the faith." --- Eli

    Truely Epic! :)

  • @ctnbeh13580 is that a part of a bible verse

  • @detroitfantg1 No, it was Eli's ending monolouge at the end of the movie :)

  • Amazing movie

  • I love this movie and have this music as my ring tone on my phone

  • I wish people could do what they really wanted to do. Not held back by money, people or anything at all. That is my version of utopia or a fantasy world. When I listen to music that moves me very deeply. I want to do what I want to do the most. But I cannot, I am held back by everything that has driven the world to what it is today. And that is good in a way. If people only did what they really wanted, we'd be nowhere technologically, evolutionally speaking. But still.. I'm running out of charac

  • @musicnab check out stefbot on utube. To see the farm --is to leave it.

  • @musicnab i'm running out of charac--.

    lol

  • @musicnab

    You're absolutely correct!

...Of course, Mr. Atticus Ross was at school with David Cameron - The current Conservative, right-wing money grubbing privileged "CAN do what he wants to do" British Prime Minister.

It's Mr. Cameron, and all his likeminded Political collleagues across the World who have driven this world into a ditch.

Let's hope his school buddy really DID turn out a better Man, because he can certainly write some mean songs!

  • @musicnab You read my mind... Simple songs like this make me feel the same way. I know I'm capable of so much, but I feel like the world is trying to hold me back. I just hope one day I'll wake up, and despite it all, I'll do what I want.

  • "EVEN THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH I FEAR NO EVIL,FOR I AM THE BADDEST MOTHER FUCKER ALIVE !!!"

-Barry L. Johnson aka my dad

  • This movie was amazing, it was a great way to show how important faith can be in our lives

  • stolen from gods ipod

  • @im26y4yall Naw man. This is the Book of Eli. God probably gave this to him.

  • @im26y4yall WELL SAID!

  • I like how this track makes you feel like you're underwater. Takes you out from the world for awhile.

  • This song is amazing, In my opinion just as good as Time by Hans Zimmer

  • this music is actually a depressing tone that fits apocalpytic scene

  • This song made me go walk through the amazon basin with all the monkeys and gorrilas bowing down to me as i walked through their home.......

  • 19 people worked for Carnegie.

  • This song has made me a better person

  • And then, 2000 years later, humans wrote a book about a man named Eli who was a prophet of god. They revered him, worshiped him. Others, called the Flying Spaghetti Monster Order disagreed. This led to conflict and as one side found blueprints for the nuclear weapons used by the people in the World Before, the war turned catastrophic. Society collapsed, and people burned the books, thinking they caused too much harm. But one copy remained, to be brought to the one place it could survive...

  • @bachthoven1685 and there ya have the book of eli II (great great great great grandson) :P

  • I love walking around the fallout 3 landscape with this playing in the background..

  • @PlymouthRacer729 i do the same thing hell i even carried the machete and a pistol and a shotgun with me.

  • I walked the straight path, I kept the faith.

  • @left4F3AR AMEN!!! SO TRUE!!! is how I feel every time i listen to this song!!!!

  • @left4F3AR I'm atheist,so I'm not telling more bullshit,just a great song and movie.

  • @Deadrops just because im not an atheist doesnt mean that what i say is bs, but since thats what you think than thats cool, your opinion anyway.

  • @left4F3AR So praise that!

  • @left4F3AR and why is faith (belief without evidence) a good thing?

  • @TheVertigoFLY Man i could write so much to in response but in the end you will always want evidence, but you have a right to say what you want and I respect your opinion. I mean realy, if you already have your mind made up, who am I to tell you different?

  • Listening to this literally sent a chill down my spine.

  • @MASTERCHIEFSTURD sent a vibe to my dick <3

  • @ZooooomBoom22 I would expect such a childish statement from someone with the annoying orange as their picture.

  • @MASTERCHIEFSTURD But. why would you look at a picture when theres letters to read .... cool story bro ;/

  • I wanna walk across a desert.

  • I imagine flying through space and time, exploring the deep oceans, worrying about nothing... Just soaking in all this imagery and all this life, or absence of it... I promise I'm sober right now.

  • @fasterkillfantomx Amazing comment if I may say so. Really dude, you don't have to worry about people think you aren't sober when it come to talking about this song.

  • @fasterkillfantomx No one's sober when listening to this song. :)

  • The best piece of sound ever made. It gives me goosebumps.

  • @PltnumYoshi It's pure bliss.

  • It kinda makes me imagine being alone in a wasteland just walking in a direction.

And then at 2:18 it reminds me of starting a new beginning or restoring society.

  • 1:14 .... Hope you guys are ready for this cause its coming... real soon....

  • this song makes think of lying on the ground under the stars with absolute NOSTALGIA

  • @codNinja909090393939 My nickname around school is Moses lol

  • On a chilly cold night, listening to this song while laying on your back gazing at the stars = Absolutely NO FEAR.

  • @knicks3085 One late night I came home and was locked out of the house cause I forgot my key and my parents were out. I decided to get the ladder from the shed and climb onto the roof, there I listened to this song and gazed out into space...*sigh*...I was SO glad that is was locked out that night. I swear that night was out of this world and it wouldn't have been without this song.

...I lay there with no fear at all, my emotions were just so explosive yet as calm as the nights wind...

  • @HannaTheMovieFTW

That's awesome. I wish we could all have that feeling 24/7.

  • @knicks3085 to true, to true mate :)

  • @knicks3085 to true mate

  • terrible movie, amazing ost though. although i did enjoy the cinematography in the movie quite a bit.

  • @klownstyle hater

  • this song makes me imagine in a desvastated lands by nuclear weap.

    sounds gd

  • Watch this too footage of Nuclear weapons going off you will get goose bumps

  • This movie gave me Goose bumps This is the greatest movie of all times

  • this is undoubtedly one of the greatest musical pieces ever recorded.

  • If you like this, you should look up Time by Hans Zimmer. :D

  • this piece is so compelling. it speaks its own language without words, and embodies pure uninhibited emotions. listening to this makes me feel all the hope and fear of the entire human species. to me, the beauty of this song is proof god is real.

  • Christians treat the bible like a software agreement: they just scrolled down and clicked "I Agree".

  • @WDeconstruct Good one. It is sad that most of us treat the bible that way.

  • this is a masterpiece....and a very sad masterpiece......

  • 1:!4 epic guitar solo

  • Best part 0:00-7:12

  • Best part 00:0-7:12

  • For any of you that have seen this move, I want to tell you that the only way to understand everything in this movie is to be very familiar with the scriptures of the Bible, specifically the King James Bible. This film is completely on point. There are a many implicit meanings within the film that you won't even notice/understand unless you know the Bible and pay attention to everything & put it together for yourself, or if you're lucky to have someone who can break it down to you, such as me.

  • @Loudmouf84 that's not true man don't be pain in the neck! you don't have to read it ,actually i have understood all the movie ,

  • @evenness I am telling you, you have to know the Bible to understand many things in this movie. By "understand," I mean you have to have knowledge of what the scriptures say, you must know the Old & New Testaments, Christ, the prophets, etc etc. If you don't know the Bible, and if you are not a believer, then you will not get everything out of this film possible. You won't understand Eli, you won't understand Carnegie, & you won't understand many of the events. Maybe some, but not everything

  • @Loudmouf84 Really? So How long does it take to read all the bible ?

  • @evenness if you were to sit & commit all your time to it nonstop, you could probably do it in 70 hours. I'd suggest setting aside a week and staying to yourself indoors and reading it nonstop. Fasting would help as well while doing it. Stick to the KJV, and get an Apocrypha(14 books removed from the Bible by the Roman Catholic Church, $10 on amazon).

  • @Loudmouf84 agreed. i liked the bar fight where he says the part about how we were made out of dirt and he was going to send them back into the dirt. i thought it was epic

  • @hersheys314 Nice!! Do you read the Bible?? KJV??

  • @Loudmouf84 i'll admit that i dont. but as much as i've been at church and using everything i learned scince i was a little kid to now it was pretty easy to understand everything.

  • @hersheys314 Yea I can believe it. You'll definitely understand some things in the film but there are some things that you won't even notice or put together if you don't know everything in the Bible, as well as history & current events. I don't put stock into movies but Book of Eli is on point and full of important implicit messages

  • The best part is at 2:11

  • To my mind, this song is perfect with this film. Ross outdid himself with this (specifixally at 1.10)

  • what genre is this considered?

  • @gmn93 Soundtrack

  • ive seen this movie two times and the ending makes me cry every time. It is a very good movie

  • Excelente ... canción maravillosa ... andaba escuchando a Brian Eno y se me vino a la mente esta canción y simplemente genial :D

  • i listen to this befor my track meet's.....

  • i capture and empty feeling that makes me think about life i dont what this feeling is i cant explain but i just know someone out there has experienced what i am feeling now its so weird..................deep

  • There are so many emotions that go through me when I hear this song. It's calming, but I also feel panic and emptyness as well then toward the end of the song where it picks up at about 5:36 I just want to go out and beat someone up.

  • This really pulls at my heart for some reason. I could just break down and let it all out to this song.

  • most relaxing song ever heard it could put a baby to sleep :). Zzz.......

  • straight to your soul baby ;]

  • This song is a slow version of " People Everyday"- Trigun OST i swear.

  • i muted an episode of planet earth and watched it to this song and it fit perfectly

  • @Multicontemplator lol that's awesome

  • Both this song and film made me reflect on what I have done to help anyone, Lifetrip i guess. Nevertheless Great Music and Awesome Film.

  • Why do I find this so familiar??? The strings phrase?? I know it so well for some reason :s urghghhg

  • @BSidnyrB probably Fallout, bro.

  • THIS MOVIE WUZ SICK!!!!!!!

  • It's not propaganda what anybody thinks, people can interpret stuff for themselves, especially music. Just stop arguing and everybody enjoy the music. Doesn't that mean you have something in common with each other if you both love this song? The song does the same thing for both of you, regardless of what you believe. People just stop bashing each other and enjoy the music together.

  • time stands still at 1:12
