  • Good vid man. I love the tailgate review system too. For a pad I use the Exped Synmat UL 7. It packs down to the size of a nalgene, weighs 16 oz. is 4 season, and is 3 in.

  • @RedDirtSurvival Thanks RedDirt. I've heard great things about that mat. Very well insulated. I used my Ether this past weekend and it got down to around 24-25 deg and it worked great. Conduction was not a problem. It impressed the hell out of me.

  • How is it compared to Exped Downmat 9? Is the R value really a 6.8? Exped claims 6.8 too. I need a pad for winter camping. Will this be warm enough? This one is much lighter than Exped.

  • @vasilli81 I'm not familiar with the Exped mat. I would think that a down mat would be warmer. I need to make a correction to the weight of the Pacific Outdoor mat. I think that I said in the vid that it was 15 oz but it's actually around 20. I hope this helps.

  • Really enjoy this chanel thanks for the great work and keep it up... and the pad looks great.

  • Good stuff, very informative.

  • @BigFootSurvival Thanks man. I apreciate the comment.

  • Similar to my big agnes which had insulation inside is comfortable but 2.5 lbs les than my self inflated one. good looking gear. allot mot comfortable than the old OD CCF pads from the early 80's army days

  • @medicjimr I still have one of those old pads from the Army. This pad is only 15 oz and I love it. Thanks for watching Jim.
