It's too cowardly and easy to JUDGE about it.

Never wanting to pay serious deep attention to the subject suicide, never wanting to hear about it, or read and think about what people can make doing this, but always judging about it anyway. THAT is weak.

People who commit suicide mosly have already lived with that for years and years in isolation. There is not just permanent physical pain and illness but there is also chronic mental pain and chronic grief.

While you are home alone and calling people nobody answers or you send them an e-mail about a party you're having and you end up partying alone. The cycle goes on for years and then when you're gone people ( your " friends " ) will say they never knew how depressed you really where and then all the other assholes with " if only this... " and " if only that... ) people don't care about suicide, it's fake like them

Mostly people commit suicide in absolute loneliness and isolation, because NO ONE is willing to listen to it or even consider being open for the option of his suicide. THAT is very selfish, to make people having to deal with their deathwish and their suicide all by themselves.

Is this like having your air supply cut off? How does the helium kill you, excuse my ignorance but I know nothing about how gases work. @Hertsman50 The reason you feel panic when you are suffocating is not because of the lack of oxygen; it is due to the build up of carbon dioxide. Taking in the inert gas allows you to expel carbon dioxide, but you are not taking in the oxygen you need. I have heard it also prevents headaches that you would get using carbon monoxide. You could also you nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for a similar effect.

I am devastated! A friend of mine's son (17 years old and a senior in high school) just committed suicide last week using helium. His family and friends are devastated. It is one of the most selfish acts you can committ. You might kill yourself but you are subjecting friends and family to a life sentence of guilt and remorse for your stupidity! PLEASE PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS! YOU ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN YOU KNOW!

i have tried a test method of this with a 50 ballon helium cylinder and i can tell you you do not pass out in fact you begin to suffocate. Are you meant to cut out complete oxygen access? So then you pass out in a slow way? this method is used by right to die societies to ensure a painless death. i suggest you watch the bbc documentary "how to kill a human being". they come to the conclusion that death by helium/nitrogen inhalation is the most humane way to go. by the way, ever heard of inhalation anesthesia?

Every piece of the helium kit can be purchased at any toy or hardware store, no licenses required, no questions asked. That's what makes this method so accessible, and such an interesting and controversial phenomenon.
