  • to small

  • well, i absolutely love the wooden cage!! but do you take them out and let them get exercise regularly? :)

  • I think the cage is cool. My childhood memories include my grandpa making a wooden cage for my guinea pigs, which wasn't their permanent home incidentally.

  • i have 2 things to say and not to be mean

    1. you need a bigger cage cause thats way 2 small for 3 pigs

2.Guinea pigs should not be housed outside

  • That us an awesome cage mine has a crappy plastic one

  • oooh i have an idea for another video! I would LOVE IT!! if you could make a video that shows us sparkle's babies!!

  • i live in Australia, i have a cage kinda like ur's but a bit bigger and a secend level, but where do u get the cutest guinea pigs ever also if u don't know this but u prob do c & c cages are not for sale in Australia Americans don't don't that

  • Suggestion: get a C&C cage. And use fleece instead of bedding.

  • Sorry about perry winkle.

  • I love seeing videos like this. I live in new zealand and my guinea pigs live outdoors most of the year round in a hutch. Im a little worried about posting videos because c&c cages have made people very narrow-minded when it comes to housing guinea pigs. In my opinion, outdoor housing is the most healthy kind of housing. Nice video!

  • @enil0rac I agree, i honestly believe that as long as you take the guinea pig(s) out everyday to exercise, then it really doesnt matter what type of cage you keep them in :)

  • What kind of guinea pigs are those?

  • its not a cage its a hutch

  • get a house for the one on the top

  • you need a bigger cage

  • Cool cage but the vet we take our guinea pigs to said the wood bedding was bad for them just wanted to let you know! :)

  • i have the same wooden cage but its the opposite way lol sooo the little thing that opens up is on the right and i dont have the water bottle thing lol..... its hard to put on because the bars are virticle ( | ) like that <--- anyway nice vid :)

  • That's tiny for 3 cavies...

  • too small for 3

  • not sure wot all the thumbs down is about, all she needed was hay, but its nothing to be hating about

  • @DatOreoBreh Because these are NOT awesome cages, these are way to small. And breeding with piggies is not done. There are WAY to many sweet piggies in shelters as it is... :-(

Look at the suggested video's or seard for C&C cages and your piggies will thank you.

  • hey this is a relli awesome cage, im getting one similar to it pretty soon for my 2 piggies, dont listen to rude comments, they just pick on u to make them feel better about themselvs lol

  • Those cages are WAY too small and you are contributing to the over population of these little creatures! An appropriately sized cage for 2 female guinea pigs is 2.5 feet by 5 feet or 76cm by 127 cm... 1m sq.

  • Why do guinea pigs always say

    WEEE WEEE WEEE WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Those are horrible cages... Both are extremly too small. One guinea pig needs 7.5 sq feet, and neither meet the requirements for one pig! Please get them some cubes and coroplast cages. I also don't understand why you think breeding is okay. The sows have a 1 out of 5 chance of dying, the pregnancies are very hard on them, and there are plenty of homeless pigs to chose from anyway!

  • hi im making a cage bout 1 metre wide and probs bout 2 or so metres long is that big enough just making it outts wood. gonna be cool ill post it once i make it...but i have rats ATM after they pass.

  • very cute but where's the hay? I'm not being rude but they need it in their diet. xx

  • I have one - it's 2 storied and the ramp is for the... well like stairs.

  • I agree!! Whenever you upload photos of your guinea pigs, someone always has to disagree. If they don't like the way you have it the they should mind their own business. I for one think your cage is suitable. And I absolutely LOVE your guinea pigs! :)

  • @pinkdevil97 People aren't just disliking the way you might have your cage set up, they are caring about the health of the animal. For instance, the cage she has here is WAY too small, and she definitely should not be breeding guinea pigs. There are way too many Gpigs in the world already and she could be adopting one instead of breeding. For every guinea pig bred, that's one in a shelter dead. As for the size of the cage, guinea pigs cannot go in wheels or balls so they need lots of space.

  • I heard that those cages are really dangerous, not the size, but it is extremely flamable, and it also heats easily inside, if its like 60 outside it could easily be 90 in there. just saying but i love the pigglets

  • i can tell your an aussie :)))))))) me toooo, i lovee your piggieeeeeeeeees, i can tell your a great owner :)

  • i aint trying to sound stalkerish, but where do you live?

    US

    UK

    Austraila ect

  • @CodeAnimeNoah Hello, there is no need for insolation if the temp is that high, just make sure that there not in a draft and they get plenty of fresh air because they can eaisy get hot so its ideal that in heat as high as that, that there in shade.

  • you need more space for your piggies to run around, also try taming your guinea pigs more, they look like they are scared of you when you go near them, nice cage though and cute piggies :)

  • Your piggies are adorable! But did you know that guinea pigs are more prone to death from heat then cold? They originated in South America where it was a lot of the time cold, so i say that there is no need to cover up your guinea pigs in winter if you live in Austrailia because they could easily over-heat. Also its very important as you probally found out by now not to use any sort of sawdust/woodchips..whatever even if it says on the packet of sawdust 'Sutible for guinea pigs' its not.gd hutch

  • don't waste your time posting videos that will obviously upset some

youtube peeps (because the cage is obviously too small) and then

    complain.

  • Ive seen one of these cages at the store when my brother was getting his guinea pig.

  • I luv ur accent. lol

  • I don't want to be rude or something, but baby Guinea Pigs should be together with Their Mum.

  • For that many guinea pigs that cage is to small

  • cool! did u built it ur self?

  • i have a hutch like that for my bunny! my guinea pig has a c&c cage :)

  • I love this cage , awesome !

  • I don't see a problem like everyone else seems to. This is LARGER than a normal store bought guinea pig cage, and plus the hutch creates a HUGE hide-a-way, and furthermore, Australia is almost perfect climate for cavies to stay outside... Don't listen to them, you did good. I would have never thought to use a rabbit hutch, but I think you made it work out quite nicely. I bet they enjoy all the sun, as long as it doesn't get too hot.

  • @RobRoy316 umm no. she can actually buy a C&C cage

  • You don't want comments on the cage, so I wont. All I can say is, poor guinea pigs :(

  • I really love the oak cage, very spatious! im sure the guinea pigs love it :)

  • awsome cage and cute pigs!

  • Aww ur piggies are sooo cute:)

  • never keep piggies in wooden cages the moisture causes bactiria and often makes them sick!

  • @thelightblue32 Woops sorry meant to click thumbs up on yours accidently clicked thumbs down don't think I'm awful or anything! :P

  • i hope you have no hawks

  • the guinea pigs in the top cage need a house or something to hide in

  • those guinea pigs are soooooo cute!!

  • You moron! You scare them. Poor guinea piggies:o(

  • think ur scaring them...

  • Cool Cage!

  • i love your guinea pigs! they are sooo cute! my ones died a few years ago and I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo want another few!

  • u said u had a guinea pig cage not a chicken coop like i do

  • i have a guinea, and i and getting a new another (baby) one on fri or tomorrow

  • no u didnt, u lier. hehehe. You got it from that Aussi Pet store place- i was with you. hahahah

  • ohh my bad ;)

  • Don't call them rude comments, if the comments tell you your doing something wrong to the animals, listen to them. Some of the 'rude comments' are for the better interests of the guinea pigs.

  • hey was just looking at ur video....a yr l8er after u've posted it. just a small note: satan (the man) should be removed from the pregnant guinea pig ( obviously she's given birth already) because he can get he pregnant some thing like 3hrs after birth. luv ur guinea pigs...cute

  • what kind of bedding do you use?

  • hi im just asking do you keep ur guinea pigs outdoors in the winter ?:)

  • Comment removed

  • I do!!!i put a heat ppad and four infared heat bulbs in the sleeping house and i keep it out there all year cause it consantlly snow were i live in Thompson Pass!!!!!!!=}

  • thats good then your piggies must be happyier then anything :)

  • yeahh, i live in australia and it dosent get that cold in winter :)

but in winter i do put rugs over their cages to keep them warmer just incase

  • @lynnandian never do that they can never be in weather under around 76 to 80 something dagreais

  • I have the exact same cage

    lol

  • omw ur black one and ginger one look exactly like mine!!!!!! what age was sparkle when she had her babies?

  • Please, can anyone recommend a water bottle that won't leak? I have wasted like $10 in bottles but they all leak. I ended up putting a water bowl but I know that is not safe for my piggy because she gets the water dirty :(

  • idk any bottle that wont leak. mine do all the time. made like set up a speical time for water that way your bottle isn't leaking 24/7 and your piggies will know when to drink. Otheriwse idk, I have the same problem

  • Thanks :)

  • all bottles leak

  • lol so true

  • @guineapigs411 not all bottles leak. Mine don't Don't go against me I'm just saying :)

  • OMG i love that gage its so cute and ur giuena pigs are adorable

  • you have two pregnate guinea pigs good luck and are you keeping all of the babies?

  • she goin to die a few days after she gives birth .sorry.But if you dont want ur piggies to die dont let them be around with the male only if they a newor

  • its ok,

i dont leave the boys in with the girls,

    and she didnt die.

  • sat down

  • i have an outdoor cage like this, but mine has a top story, i only keep one pig in it though, do you think it will be big enough for two?

  • Yeah, deffinitly

  • i think black guinea pigs look like kittens lol =P

  • :P lol thats funny

  • please tell me what kind of cage that blue one is and where i can find it and is it big enough for 2

  • Awsome vid.

    You have such cute piggy's

  • That's like the Tudor home of guinea pig cages. They could use some more running room though.

  • wat r all those things on the floor?

  • At the start on the left,

    they are cat bowls.

I also have three cats haha

    = ]

  • the cage is kind of small...they need more floor space...the dont need space upwards

  • the cage is very small, isn´t it?

  • I read that do not sepperate pregnate guinea pig from the girls but from the boys yes because she is still in heat

  • Thanks, thats a really good idea :D

  • you still hav'nt put the second floor on it yet. hahaha

  • yeah, i really should get around to doing that, i just cant be botherd haha

  • Her accent is Australian and its awesome thankyou very much.I should know I'm Australian also.

  • Sorry, but i dont know what you are talking about.

  • i think that hes talking about your accent

is it british or auzi its awesome

  • Yeah its Australian haha

  • i'm australian as well.

  • How are guinea pigs outside? im thinking of making a hutch for mine

  • well my guinea pigs enjoy being outside, the love the grass :)

  • I wouldn't keep them outside permanently but it is good to let piggies on the grass when it is dry and warm enough!

  • Yea, we've had bad rain lately so ive moved them off the grass and inside.

  • I wouldn't advise it! I know it is traditional for guinea pigs to be outside but it is becoming more and more popular for them to be inside.

I have had at least 2 die from heat stroke (and I live in the UK!). I've never had one eaten but some people get foxes in their gardens which eat them!

I've also just lost a lot of piggies and now only had 4 left. The remaining pigs were brought inside and we've not had any illnesses since!

  • I understand your worries and thank you for commenting.

I'm so sorry to hear what has happend to your piggs, i also have lost piggies in the past due to neighbours dogs. Because of bad weather and neighbours dogs, my guinea pigs are inside, protected from the rain and dogs. Hopefully your piggies stay healthy inside too.

    Thank you

    :)

  • That's great! Yeah, I've learnt from my mistakes and try to stop others from doing the same thing as I did. Otherwise they too have the guilt to live with.

Thank you for taking a look at my vids.

  • And also your guinea pigs Ruben and Rico are so cute, love your videos :)

  • HAHA good good .. I have 6 piggies love them to death..

the australin cavy sanctuary. is great... very nice people.

cannot wait to see the renervations... =D

Once i work out how to add videos on to my puta i shall post video's of my girls and boy.

  • cant wait to see your piggies :)

  • I like you cages, however why do you choose to breed cavies when so many die in shelters each year??? do u totally understand the risks you put you cavies under each time they have a baby.

Also i didn't see any hay in the cages i saw chaff but no hay?? do you give them hay ?? if not you really shoud as their teeth grow all the time and need it 24/7.

good luck with the cage renervations...

    Love the babies.....

  • Hey thanks for the comment I know what you are saying about all the cavies that are dieing in shelters. Some of these pigs that I have are from the shelters. Were I am we only have 2 shelters and they dont normally have cavies. The reason there was no hay in there cages was because I only put them in the cages that day to show you guys the new cage as I was renervating them. no need to worry. Thanks - I have finally finished all the renervating, took me a while haha. Will post a video asap.

  • It's realy cute what you've done, and the future I dears sound cool, so please take a video of the new to be extension thanks :)

  • all boys, im afraid if i get a girl they'll have heaps of Babies... i wouldnt mind but my mum would kill me :(
