  • Faith in humanity: restored.

  • That was a good cry.

  • THE BEST RENDITION OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM EVER

  • together we stand, divided we fall...

  • Boston is a very nice city, and very nice people as what happened there! From New York

  • Stay classy, Boston.

  • how can you dislike this? seriously.

  • Wow humanity in Fenway? That's a first

  • Goosebumps from Brazil!

  • I almost shed manly viking-tears to this. Cheers from Sweden

  • God Bless America!

  • Goosebumps from Sweden!

  • Great. Next on the chopping block, Tourette's syndrome. DANCE, RETARD, DANCE

  • @goatshredder You took a truly beautiful moment and made it... Fucking Hilarious. Shame on you... dare you to be that cruel again.

  • It is nice to see something for once, that restores my faith in humanity, in this ever so fucked up place we live in today.

  • the crowd is a bunch of dicks.

  • it is so much more meaningful to me to hear the entire stadium singing the song. I this would become the custom instead of getting certain people to sing it for us.

  • He probably has williams syndrome, it is similar to autism but the person has exceptional musical talent.

  • That happens a lot at baseball games. If the person isn't some dumbass celebrity then people start singing along to make up for them. This is no big deal.

  • awesome awesome video

  • humanity in america!!!???? 0.o? well how about that lol it still exists.

  • shit, I didn't even know I was clapping while I was explaining this to my mom

  • This made me experience musical frisson. Look it up.

  • @wrahjesful I read about that on reddit already.

  • Boston baby. gotta love it.

  • ...Chris Griffin?

  • At every sporting event in europe. you can bet your ass everyone sings their national anthem with pride. only in America, people would thinking singing the anthem is a sense humanity.

  • @TheDeAngeloo a difference of culture seems to have confused you. At an event like this, generally a special guest is chosen to sing the anthem. its usually a famous person or someone special. The sense of humanity has nothing to do with them singing the song itself. but rather that the man singing ( who obviously has a mental disability) started having trouble with the song and laughing. everyone in the stadium chimed in to encourage him. Im sick of the pointless blind stabs at America.

  • He sounds like Kenny from Kenny VS Spenny

  • damn onions

  • I have a friend that is autistic, and he gets made fun of, I hate people sometimes :(

  • the crowd, getting impatient with this , just sang it instead, to get the game started!

  • @ukp42 Truth!

  • @ukp42 A+ comment

  • Wow, this is amazing. It's good to see that there are still patches in the nation as huge as this who would step up to the plate and do this sort of thing.

  • Kenny Hotz sounds terrible on this.

  • GDO BLESESES AMAEIRNC1!!

  • Almost youtube, almost.

  • If it was a regular baseball crowd and not that of the families of disabled persons and those who were obviously there to support them for a charity game then I might think something of humanity.

  • @phen81 it was a regular baseball crowd. i was there. and not because it happened to the day the sox honored those with disabilities.

  • @phen81 it was a regular baseball crowd. i was there. and not because it happened to the day the sox honored those with disabilities.

  • @phen81 umm, it was before a red sox game. the crowd was full of random bostonians going to see the sox, and 99% of the people in fenway didn't know who that guy was.

  • AMERICA

  • I don't cry, but almost youtube...almost

  • @limepirate I was the same until i saw those stupid "troops come home and surprise family" videos....that shit completely emasculates you.

  • I first thought he was laughing so i started by laughing as well. Then I read the description and I felt bad :(

  • @RASHTG its alright when youe felt bad its a good thing, it means you learned a lesson. :)

  • @RASHTG its alright when you felt bad its a good thing, it means you learned a lesson. :)

  • @RASHTG at first i laughed too. Then read the descriptions and still laughed....cause he`s funny

  • i got chils.

  • This gave me goosebumps!!! Especially just seeing it after 9/11.. This is the BEST video I could ask to see!!! God Bless America!!! and Go RED SOX :P

  • Hey this is coming from a diehard Yankees fan. Way to go Boston! You guys made me proud to be an American in this video!

  • I love the USA!

  • Big ups, Sox fans.

  • i think it was just an awesome that everyone came together and helped this guy through the National Anthem. We should all take pride in this moment regardless of who are favorite team is. This was just so classy and inspiring! I serve in the military and this is what we fight for! Just beautiful!

  • I was all pissed of at my computer because I had just typed a super long email then my brother played this video next to me... I had completely forgot all of my anger, all of everything, while tears started to fall from my face. I am 17 and a proud American patriot and this has abruptly reminded me of that. God bless America and its wonderful people :)

  • I've seen a lot of comments on here from luckylongarm1, and all that I can say to him/her is...You're a moron! Why bash a beautiful moment with you childish comments? You don't like what you see, don't watch it. And no, they wouldn't have boo'd the guy in New York, the same thing probably would ahve happened. Let's not make this a Boston verses New York thing. Let's amke it what is is. One voice causing hundreds to step up when there's a problem. Let's step up and find a cure!

  • Sox fans are awesome. They would have boo'd the poor kid in NY.

  • That's awsome

  • I am stuggling to find anywords to describe this moment. I get shivers just watching how people helping this man sing the national anthem! Brillaint, amazing, inpirational, legendary, supurb, fantastic, BEAUTIFUL! After everything humans have done, this is one of the few moments where I am proud to call myself a human. Brillaint!

  • good people, good people.

  • first time i have seen a video of Americans singing their anthem...good job

  • only red socks fans :)

  • @NizzBomb69 red sox*

  • Epic Anthem, for an Epic Fail

  • I love this--it is beautiful

  • WIN! i can that a WIN!!!

  • I believe the humanity of the US is awakening back to its founding fathers values and virtues. This is what the positive transformation of an economic regression. A better America is on its way because they are sober now.

  • I got teary eyed when the crowd started singing with him. It is humanity at its finest indeed. Too bad we don't see much of this. But we will...SOON!!! It has begun.

  • It's Peter GRIFFIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaahahhaahahahahahahahahhahhahahaahahahahaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD

  • What a beautiful moment!

  • i actualy felt chills in my spine

im no american but im still proud of the human race all the same

  • how fucked up is it that even a video of this nature has to have a bunch of babbling idiots all fighting about stupid shit that doesnt matter?

  • @bigsacashi what?

  • I cried a little...

  • He did a fine job & the fans need to be applauded for helping him out!

  • 17 people have no hearts and deserve to burn. ><

  • Crying!!!! All I can say!!!!

  • Wow, unbelievable and wonderful.. you feel the 'power' of the people. What if we used this energy for good things, against fear and wars...

  • Faith in humanity restored.

  • wow it is sad that some people have to be so negative in their comments for a pointless reasons. I pray that you find something to do in your life besides being a Debby Downer.

  • If he was in Philly he may have been booed.

  • He did a great job going all the way! I had chills all over me when the entire stadium started thundering... Wow!

  • What an amazing tribute to the United States of America! I'm so proud of this great man and his courageous contribution to the American spirit. This is what the U.S. is all about. Well done.

  • that is awesome

  • I think that's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen....

  • Absolutely amazing. Gives me chills every time.

  • We laugh at Americans for being so patriotic but after watching this video even I have to say God bless America.

  • 15 Thumbs down were Yankee fans!

  • winning.

  • AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

  • :) This guy did a great job and so did the Audience. =)

  • Woohoo for ASL!

  • Very AWESOME... My 6 year old has Autism and this has touched my heart for ever <3

  • this is so sweet. who ever would say mean or rude stuff about this. doesnt have a heart and they should die. cause this made me day.

  • I am not surprised. Courtesy, politeness and grace were traits readily noticeable when I was in the US. It is to your credit. Humanity manifests itself in so many forms, this one is especially touching.

  • I think I like the group effort better than a single person always singing it anyway. In any situation...

  • 0:59-1:01 you can hear guy in behind laugh his ass out

  • WOW.... a truly refreshing sight. :) As for some of the comments below - wow. You know in the back of your mind that there are shallow, unkind, unsympathetic people out there with the conscience of toad... but it always amazes you when/where they have the audacity to actually rear their ugly sense of humor of way of looking at the world. Of course, you could always write it off to some young kid who finds that sort of thing funny... still, shocking.

  • @karan8624 I can't imagine what life is like inside your skin. It must suck.

  • in philly they would have thrown beer bottles at him.

  • @Flerg3 yo have a fucking heart douche bag. i hope when you have a kid that he is autistic then you wont be saying shit like this and if you already have a kid i hope your next one is you fucking jerkoff. have a heart.

  • @lKingHD I was merely expressing the way the uncivilized mongrels in my hometown would behave in this situation. In no way shape or form did I put down this individual who happens to be autistic. In fact, I express deep care and admiration for the mentally challenged, as my career allows me to work with them on a day to day basis. Perhaps, it's you sir that's the douche bag for wishing someones kid to be autistic. Reevaluate your priorities son.

  • @Flerg3 Yup, probably. That's what happens when an entire city is on steroids or crack.

  • @Flerg3 In Philly we have great fans who would not have done that at all! No fan base would ever be mean to someone autistic, so STFU!

  • @Flerg3 im a Philly and I think this is amazing... Like all the other haters who dont actually know shit about Philly and their amazing fans, I can tell you no one would boo this guy... Bos has plenty of blow hard asshole fans themselves.. get over yourself

  • @xBOBHALOx Is that THE bobHALO?!!!?! I think I've heard of you before...

  • @Flerg3 It's only the city of brotherly love when the Eagles win...and since they've never won a superbowl...well...

  • @karan8624 LMAO @ U! That couldn't have been more predictable...honestly, like in junior high or something...

  • @karan8624 Wow...it's 2011, you're 31 years old, and that's your comment...wow...how embarrassing for you.

  • I am a die hard Yankees fan, but I have to give credit to the Sox fans for being great in helping this guy out. I would hope that the Yankees fan would have done the same.

  • Every once in a while, people don't suck.

  • @luckylongarm1 Wow...such stench-laden pollution coming from you...toxic filth...must be hard for you to live with that nastiness inside. The irony is that you think this comment is an insult to JB, but you just exposed great ugliness within yourself, thus making YOU look foolish, weak, and childishly mean-spirited--bummer. I hope the day comes when you cringe at remembering when you carried this garbage inside and spread it all around, for it will signal a thaw of the soul.

  • @luckylongarm1 Wow, if your soul does ever thaw one day, it's gonna be traumatic I bet. Congrats--few on YouTube can be as filthy and sickening.

  • @tvswnet get off my nuts

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... All I can say to you is that you are so very heartless... May God Bless Your Soul and may you see that just because he is Autistic doesn't mean he is any different then you... Grow up and show some compation for the human soul

  • @mjasmom2007 nothing to do with heart. just don't put an autistic person on display as an act of humanity for your own pleasure and self esteem or whatever that gets you off thinking you are doing a good deed. end of story.

  • @luckylongarm1 maybe HE wanted to do it... who are you to tell the man what he can and can't do?

  • It's so heartbreaking seeing such a true and beautiful moment only to scroll down and see it polluted with disgusting comments.

I guess it just shows that the world can be both beautiful and ugly simultaneously.

  • @StackCityEntOfficial Their punishment is being them--can you imagine having that nastiness inside which underpins their comments?? Yuck...

  • 0:02 sounds like a car horn

  • Why didn't they just get Rosie O'Donnell to sing it?

  • Definitely warms the heart. I am happy for this guy and all those people in the crowd rock! I even laughed along when he and the crowd started to laugh.

  • 12 People are heartless.

  • Coudal

  • @1dgeorgeny you know it

  • This took place back in late June or early July of 2007, iirc

  • The motivation seems to be to help him out-it was really amazing that it happened this way. We all have struggles and shortcomings, and it makes all the difference when humanity joins together to help each other out.

  • My eyes got a bit watery. :)

  • @hackthatmac Whoever thought of the idea to let stupid people post comments on YouTube is pretty dumb... I'm all for equal opportunity, but that seems like its setting someone up for public failure / disappointment.

  • @JML42691 letting stupid people do stuff is what freedom is all about. i am stupid. that's why i say this.

  • @hackthatmac we all knew he would perform as he is, that was appropriate ... there was no public failure / disappointment ... 'you' sound like that instead and fail to understand what was happening then. I am not disappointed with you because I know there are many like you, who has difficulties to understand certain things.

  • @CesarBrauer haha wow you are such a troll... I was simply saying it is not a GREAT idea. I know many people who have mental disabilities, such as my uncle. Never did I say they are a lesser person, or that they deserve to not have the same opportunities. Would you have a man who could not read, read a book on national television?

  • @hackthatmac It was a GREAT IDEA, the event was meaningful, yes. No, I wouldn't ask someone who can't read to read, much less in public. But then, there, the purpose was another one than the only thing you have in mind. Nobody there was ashamed of him, well in contrary. He symbolizes a CAUSE. And he was teaching COMPASSION. There was no judgement then. BTW, they deserve no just the same but more and more opportunities. I hope you understand not with your intellect but with your heart. Love 2 U!

  • @karan8624 Wow, cynicism. There's something you don't see on the internet every fucking day.

  • Amazing!!! I loved it!!

  • That brought tears to my eyes

  • @bevtcb likewise!

  • Better than Rebecca Black.

  • The crowd should've lefft this young man alone to finish HIS brave effort at home base! He was doing just fine. I thot he was just 'laughing' a little bitthere, overcome by emotion at what he was doing. But that didn't sound like he was 'faltering.' HE would have felt much better finishing the song the way he started out ~~ on his own. ,~_~\\

  • I've been watching so many american amthem being sang by people at games, that I know all the words. And I'm not even from america :p

  • A group of people singing a song together.

humanity at it's finest for sure.

  • Moving. Loved it :D

  • I'm not sure how I feel about this. He seemed to be doing just fine, but then the crowd took over as if he needed their help. It may seem sweet and kind, but I wonder what message that is sending to our disabled community. Although we refer to them as disabled, they are able and capable of many things. If they were trying to help him, then it should have been on his terms. They should have let him sing the anthem at his own pace without rushing him through it.

  • @TheCelticwaters I completely get your point, but I think this really was a genuine gesture of affection, not condescension. I think they saw him struggling a bit and spontaneously, in unison reached out to him...truly great. They even cheered first to encourage him to keep going on his own, then they joined him...that's how I see it, anyway.

  • Can someone explain what the title has to do with the video?

  • @Mikemaladar

yah that IZ a little over-stated. Besides, I'm not sure we're on the right track here. I don't think he needed any 'help' or kindness. No one 'jumped in' and tried to 'help' Marvin Gaye finish HIS version of the Nat'l. Anthem when HE sang it awesomely & totally different than anyone had ever hear it before. :/

  • @Mikemaladar Well, baseball fans aren't necessarily known for their sensitivity. One might have expected laughter or booing when he started to slip up. Instead, they spontaneously started singing together with him.

  • peter griffin

  • Amazing!! :'-) I loved it!

  • From Humanity at display to inhumane comments on display. For those that 'dislike' this video go try to sing in front of all those people, screw up, and see how you feel if they do that for you. Then come back and rate this video again.

  • @sdflksdfkfh You're one hell of a scared & retarded cunt for posting on an anon name...aside from trolling the people here, you'd never show your name on the internet & much less talk shit like this in public. You know your own truth, pathetic coward.
