martingross, is the dobro hard to play? i play guitar and i can play a little banjo. i just ordered me a dobro i was just wondering if it is any harder to play
it has nothing to do with the wood. The tune sounds GREAT!. If you can't make a song sound good because of the wood then it's the guitarist not the guitar. MartinGross's sound is very good and very clean, I like that, I also like really old dirty sounding dobro's as well. Just remember KavePizzaHunter, it's all in the player not the guitar.
I'll bet if you ask MartinGross to play it on a normal guitar and not a dobro, he could still make it sound good.
i'm still learning about slide guitar, dobro & all that i've watched tons of videos lately & i gotta say you really re not only articulate but very smooth.
