@Joshua921016 Ah, don't worry about that part too much. It's just the same part over and over again, so if you position your fingers comfortably, it shouldn't be too bad :)

I thanked the other dude that upploaded the other Isaac shepard song, " leaves in the wind" and I have to thank you too, I figured the first part out by listening to it but now I have the whole song! Thank you!
...otherwise, the notes are mostly right; mostly... sry i'm very picky when it comes to notes. i'm just like that... don't get me wrong, this is a hard song to play, and don't blame you if something goes wrong. (I even make mistakes) :)
@carleen112233 I don't claim this to be the "correct" way to play it; this is just my interpretation of it. There are most likely some differences, but although some of the notes are played or placed differently, they are all in tune :)
Perhaps they sound a bit strange because I used a very cheap piano sample for the midi processing? Maybe I should upload a video of me playing it sometime.....
err, 0:46 through 0:48 made me cringe alittle. :/ If i'm not mistaken, those aren't the right notes. no offence, but I'm learning this song, and they don't sound right...
@Davidkracht haha. ^^ thnx2. bcoz of dis, i can already play one song. ^^ I've memorized about a week. ahaha. :) it was really fun as I was going along, and I have u to thank for it. ^^ Thanks again. :)
@GH6dark6king6 Saying that there's no such thing as an interpretation(because that IS what you're saying) is in it's deepest essence just plain dumb. And you've obviously already gone from discussion to arguing with your last sentence.
Say whatever you wish, but I really have more important things to attend to than this~
@H20Infinity Well, at least it's the same patterns repeating themselves over and over again. I mean, I'm struggling with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (3rd movement).....unless you want to mark an almost two-minute-long section, it is NOT the same patterns repeating themselves, and they are all as fast as the part you mentioned is at the end of it XD
I'm sure you'll learn it soon enough! Just don't give up! ;)
@clancyben1 See the thing is, no one has really bothered making Isaac's songs in MIDI format. You CAN find Leaves in the Wind somewhere on the internet, I can't remember where though, and you can find this edition of Before Dawn which I made, but I myself have been unable to find any other songs by Isaac in MIDI format :)
wen u open synthesia with this song, under input device, click the right arrow. To make it Input Off:. This will make the whole piano keyboard thing light.
@Lubie225 Aah, I see! Thank you for the info, I will put that up in an annotation in the video, so people can do that if they download the midi file. =)
@Lubie225 Ah yes, that it because you can use Synthesia to play songs with; which means that you can use your keyboard as a piano. Since there aren't enough keys on a keyboard to play properly, you can only mark one octave at a time, and I believe that is why only one octave is highlighted. It should be easy enough to see the other keys though.
But as always, just contact me in a way of your preference, and I will answer whatever questions you may have :)
I know you removed your comment, but yes I did, Lubie. I had a complain about the videos being annoying and amateur-like, so I figured this would be much easier to handle.
I have provided everyone with a link to the program used here in the description of the video, along with the midi(the music file) file. If you download the program and load the song into it, you will be able to change the speed of the song.
I have however now added another annotation at the start of the video now though, to keep other people from thinking that they only can learn this by looking at this 100% speed video :)
HOLY 2:47 - 3:05 ...

LOVE THIS SONG! i cant belive that now i am able to play it , but it is hard for me my hands are small!! T.T
mizuki109 1 year ago
@Davidkracht Where? All over the song. When? All the time.
The biggest flaw starting at 3:36, there are missing alot of notes.
0:44, right hand is off.
This is not the right way to play Isaac Shepards way of playing this piece.
If it's your way of playing it then call it ''Before dwan (Version) tutorial''
Don't try to smart talk me.

thanks for the great tutorial but is there any chance you could edit it so that we can differentiate right hand from left a bit easier.
SpinningSpiral21 1 year ago
@SpinningSpiral21 Unfortunately, there probably isn't. I think I would have to remake the whole thing with two instruments and differentiate it.
But nonetheless, you can always just find out what works best for you; that's what I do :)
Davidkracht 1 year ago
hmm, other synthesia tutorials have their whole keyboard highlighted. Is this because they plug an actual keyboard to their computer or something?
Lubie225 1 year ago
@Lubie225 I honestly do not know.....now that you say it, this is quite odd.
Is it so bothering that I have to upload a new video, however?
Davidkracht 1 year ago
whys it all easy to see in the middle, but dark on the rest of the keyboard
Lubie225 1 year ago
