I believe in the bible, but how come no one points out you can only trust the bible as much you can trust the person next to you. The point of all this is to say, this is not a law given to Christians. Christians live under a new covenant, that was the Mosaic Covenant. I'm not saying that was an unjust law for that covenant either; but there is no indication anywhere in scripture where Christians are to take over the government and make the laws to control people's actions. The pattern left is to appeal to people and hope/pray they make the right decision, not force them by law to do something.
To simply answer your challenge, which I think you just made out of ignorance, that was a command that is part of the covenant God made with Israel. Israel was a physical nation that was completely ruled by God (though they eventually complained and He gave them kings to rule over them). Yes, their laws were given to them by God. And being part of a nation serving God, they were to obey His commands, which included executing people for certain sins. Homosexuality is not the only one.

We are taught that homosexuality is wrong. we also are taught (by God in both cases) that murder is wrong. if a christian kills a non-believer because of unbelief or a certain sin, it is immoral and a sin of our own. it is God's job to decide when a person shall die, and it is God's job to send us to heaven or hell on the last day. it is a christian's job to spread the saving faith, that others may believe and be saved.

The point of all this is to say, this is not a law given to Christians. Christians live under a new covenant, that was the Mosaic Covenant. I'm not saying that was an unjust law for that covenant either; but there is no indication anywhere in scripture where Christians are to take over the government and make the laws to control people's actions. The pattern left is to appeal to people and hope/pray they make the right decision, not force them by law to do something.

To simply answer your challenge, which I think you just made out of ignorance, that was a command that is part of the covenant God made with Israel. Israel was a physical nation that was completely ruled by God (though they eventually complained and He gave them kings to rule over them). Yes, their laws were given to them by God. And being part of a nation serving God, they were to obey His commands, which included executing people for certain sins. Homosexuality is not the only one.

But the fact that a man and man, or a woman and a woman cannot reproduce is sheer proof right there that being homosexual is not the way of life, whether god exist or not. They CAN reproduce with someone of the opposite sex if they choose to, they just really don't want to, and it won't change that they're not attracted to the opposite sex. At the same time, there are many heterosexuals who are infertile and can't have babies even if they want to. Do you look down on them and believe that their life is "not the way of life"? I suppose you also believe you should not have sex unless you're trying to have children?

#1 reason why gay marriage isn't supported (in my opinion) is religious bias (God says it's wrong, so no one can do it). Yes, there are many types of love such as love for a pet, your family, or your favorite ice cream, but I'm referring to the type of love that marriage actually deals with, love between two people who want to have sex, be together throughout there life, and what have you. if two people wish to get married out of that sort of love than why not?
