  • You met with a terrible fate haven't you?

  • Well I mean I know who Ben is now but I mean who is Ben like you know character, person, do you know what I'm saying?

  • that face is genuinely creepy.

  • Whos Ben?

  • @XayXellos

    You shouldn't have asked that.

  • 0:46 almost gave me a heart attack

  • I know, I know!

    Maybe, ih8y00u was right...

He turned people into monsters, or rather had them turned into monsters, made them agonize

and then he offered "help" to whoever unfortunate would caught his interest with this song

but in return, he'd have that one's body in a trade to collect all the masks in the world (with this, I mean he thought of everybody as a mask to add to his collection).

Nice song by the way, I like its speed and rhytm! ;)

  • awsome remix, I like the dark parts :P

  • someone reverse this so we get a unhealing remix

  • @Dankoichi saria's song is unhealing???

  • Rape Face

  • You know, I've wondered about Majora's Mask: Why does Link just automatically trust the frightening, sinister Happy Mask Sailsman and go off to retreive a demonic mask to return to said sinister man? It's more than clear that the Happy Mask Sailsman is more than just a simple sailsman, and I was frankly shocked that he didn't put on Majora's Mask himself at the end, revealing himself to be the true villian and final boss.

  • @Gyarretto7 Umh, you readed lore in-game that he knew when he got hands to mask how dangerous it is. As i can think he must been traveling at least day or more before Skull Kid went to do bit-too-far-gone trick to Happy.

  • @CPPpotkustartti Yeah, but like I said, he's proved that he's more than just a simply mask salesman, that there's a lot about him he's not telling us. Ex, how the hell could he possibly know when you go back in time? And how the hell can he summon a gigantic fucking piano? There's something really sinister about him (and not just with his mood swings when you talk to him). Frankly he seems like the kind of person you can't simply trust right from the get-go.

  • Caryface

  • HAHA, AWESOME!! ^-^

  • LOL That's what I call remix of remix!

  • Groovy.

  • Dude, there ought to be an MP3 of this. I love this remix! You did a great job! =D

  • Skull Kid killed this guy. He's a ghost the entire game. Think about it.

  • What if Zant is The Happy Mask guy....He wears a mask maybe somewhere along the lines of a confusing timeline The Happy Mask Salesman did something awful and got banished to the twilight relam...just a thought probably completely off...

  • @MilkyinTurkey The happy mask salesman would have to be immortal.

  • I think he has no control of the mask, there was saying on some info that the Majora's Mask lured the Skull Kid to knock out the Mask Salesman because it wanted to escape him because he was likely retraining it

  • @Dancergirl600 read the manga and the mask salesman talks of want it all to happen and what not lol

  • @logmanlol Manga isn't Canon

  • @Dancergirl600 D̎o̊̊̇͗ͤ͐̚n͛̒ͬͥ'ͤ̈͐̈́t͛̂͑ ̎ͨͥͪ̈̽w̋͆̾ͭͨ̂̚ôͫͭ̂͂̉ͮrͤ̐ͫrỳ͌́̓,ͭͪ̈́ ̏̊̇̈ͬ̂ͫw̉͂ͪ̔e͒ͨ͊͐ͨ͒ ̏̊̎̉ͮå͛r̂͑e̋ ͋f̂̌ͯo̓̒̈́͗ͮ̔̍r͐̔̒̊e̋̃̑ͪ͆v́̈ͬer̆̀ͯ.

  • I also don't think he was disapointed when the mask had lost its powers, i think he might have been suprised, maybe he didn't think mask could lose the spirits within them, plus another thing what good would it bring him to put the mask on, because the spirit in the mask is the one in control not the person wearing it, so he would likely be used as a puppet just like the Skull kid was to the mask if he did put it on

  • @Dancergirl600 The Mask Salesman just wanted the Mask and its Powers for himself...he manipulated Link into getting the mask back for him...but in the end its Powers were erased and sealed away...but where? did the Mask salesman get some? why did he leave almost right away...and besides the BEN thing is just something someone made up, its a creepypasta fake stuff but made to sound true...so true that i'm almost 15 and i use a night-light again (not really, just my tv ;P)

  • I think him laughing in the moon crash could possibly be Link being so scared that he might be thinking back on what the Happy Mask Salesman told him on meeting a terrible fate, maybe the moon crash reminded him of the quote, it never state that he is actually talking to you, and i think he did care what dangers could happen to Ternmia, maybe when he got the mask he felt he could be responsible and keep it safe, but when he felt the evil, he regreted it, and couldn't put it back

  • I don't really feel that he is behind this, first on starts he pretty much told you all the things about the mask and what it would likely do, and if he wanted Skull kid to take them mask, then he wouldn't have asked link to go get for him, plus he turn links into a human again, which would just make the mission to defeat Majora's make even easier, beside Talt tells you haow Skull Kid got the mask, likely she could have seen if the Mask Salesman was trying to get knocked out

  • This guy always did really creep me out. .__.

  • The happymask salesman's real name is neb

  • Niiiiiiiice!!!!!

  • Dude looks like the Ice Cream Man from that one episode of Dexter's Laboratory.

  • all kids who played this game are secretly fucked up like me.

  • @gameman29 Maybe, who knows.

  • D:

  • You shouldn't have done that. Hmmhmmhmm

  • Y is the Mask dude in ocarina , and y do his masks do nothing , plz tell me cuz I only played ocarina , the first ten min of Majouras mask , and the original LOZ game

  • @Ichigosbrother Well, I just started playing ocarina, but I'm pretty sure near the beggining of majoras mask he says he travels looking for masks, and I'm pretty sure I heard from somewhere that he is from the happy mask shop in hyrule. IDK why his masks do nothing in ocarina but the concept wasn't made until majora, so yeah.

  • This guy was unsettling because even when mad, he still had a sort-of grin on his face, and there was no transition between his different poses. One second he's rubbing his hands together, then bam, he's waving with that creepy grin.

  • This is really fresh! Great Job!

  • I get it! Before he used the majoras mask to murder people and kill monsters transforming them into masks, truly evil man indeed.

  • I guess BEN and the happy mask salesman like to get funky...

  • @HeadacheVillain you got the top comment

  • You shouldn't have done that...

    BEN is getting lonely...

You've met with a terrible fate haven't you...?

    *Insert skull kid's laugh*

    YOUR TURN....

  • he is happy that the world ends and the skull kid and the sales man maybe was working together and the mask sales man faked that he was robbed and tried to tell link to help him. link fell for it and when he did it, he was sad that the powers were gone and had no reason to live, so he commited suicide at the ending when he dissapared

  • @PICKACHU532 no that doesn't work because it shows in the short scene when you see the drawing of the skull kid..it shows him robbing the happy mask salesman so it really happened. but there deffetialy is something sketchy about him..I wana know the history about him so bad..like what is his deal.

  • link: hello

happy mask sales man:WHY DID YOU NOT GET MY MASK BACK *GOES MAD AND TELLS GANODORF IN TWILIGHT PRINCESS TO KILLL HIM*

    link: WTF JUST HAPPEND

  • Oh father, I pledge to you...

  • the happy mask salesman is behind it all

  • I wonder what ever happen to the mask. did the salemen lock it away. did it slowly regain its power and just waiting for someone to put it on? . You think after all that fishing with the grapling hook. Toon Link or other fishermens would have found it by now since in the toon link series. Hyrule was flooded competly. Damn you salesman. where the hell did you put it

  • @MrSomeGamerdude i mean the mask powers were gone, so

  • @onlyhuman2121 i know that. but i do like to see the mask again in the toon link series. example: some people fishing, found the mask, then they got jump by some thevies and the thevies bring to the guy who is paying them and it so happen to be an evil surssur who bring the power back to the mask. or something like that or better. Majora's Mask was my favorite fanil boss in the entire zelda series. (cant spell to save my life, lol)

  • @MrSomeGamerdude one day i will create a zelda game like that, i promise lol

  • @MrSomeGamerdude in termina derrrrr

I also believe that the word you were in as you were playing phantom hourglass IS in fact Termina. I mean Oshus did say that they were in a different world

  • one question thats been botherin me evr since i started playin mm: WHY IN THE HELL IS HE SO G.D. HAPPY WHEN THE WORLDS ENDING!?

  • The Friggin picture of this video scared the shizz outta me...

Damn you, salesman, always freaking me out...Damn you Majora's Mask, scariest Zelda game ever...I AM Scared,THANK YOU! XD

  • So, excellent debate, the two of you.

  • NICE USE OF PICTURES AND SOUND CHANGE UP DETAILING THE PICTURE!

  • I do also believe the salesman was planning something evil...But not him being Majora. If you have ever read the manga, Majora was something of a beast, which was defeated by Fierce Deity just by playing music for like 2 or 3 days... More of a possibility that the happy mask salesman was a follower of Majora. Because he did laugh evilly about the mask..And wanted it back so bad. And was upset to find it's powers were gone at the end.

  • @DarknessWeaver The manga is not cannon, meaning anything the comic presented is false to the true video game story. It's not cannon because it was not an official Nintendo product.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Well yeah....But still, Majora is probably not the Happy Mask Salesman...Just think.... Why would one of the final boss' forms be "Majora's Incarnation" then?

  • @DarknessWeaver What does "Majora's Incarnation" mean to you? To me, The Mask with the dark power invested in it took on it's own semi-conciseness in the story, and created a body for the final battle.

Does the name "Majora's Incarnation" mean it is in fact "Majora"? No, for if it was, they would have made it clear.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 An "Incarnation" is something that is an actual form of something. So Majora's Incarnation to me means that it is a similar form of Majora. And I wasn't saying it was necessarily Majora. I was saying that the Happy Mask Salesman is probably not Majora. All I was saying is that why would there be an incarnation of Majora is Majora still walks?

  • @DarknessWeaver Why wouldn't he? if you are someone who wants to cause trouble, and don't particularly want to do it yourself, but just so happen to have an android who could go do just as much damage without you having to lift a finger nor getting blamed, would you still go yourself? If it was me, I would give let some little kid (skullkid) take the controller thinking its a game, and sit back and enjoy the unbridled destructions.

  • @TheGoggleguy Argh! Do you get what I am saying?? If the Happy Mask Salesman was Majora, then why did he want Link to get Majora's Mask back in three days? And which on the third day the moon would fall! No to forget to mention that he said he was leaving on the third day before it fell! And I don't think darkly... So I wouldn't do it in the first place.

  • @DarknessWeaver Look up the word "Manipulation"

    Remember the ending?

If he was some kind of evil demon, the ending would not have been as it was. The ending left with him disappointment of the mask in it's passive non-evil state, yet impressed with the Hero's achievements and heroism. Such feelings can only come from a Trickster, who cares not if Evil or Good wins the day, but that something "fantastic" happens. And such insanity is seen in his eccentric behavior...

  • @TheCreatorOf4 I am really tired of arguing, but people keep saying things that is completely what I didn't say, or what I have said. I 100% agree to that, but that was also what I meant. I was saying he was planning on using the mask for evil purposes. Didn't say he was a demon. Didn't really think of him as a trickster exactly....More of a crazy weird guy XD

  • @DarknessWeaver Sure.

  • @DarknessWeaver Why not? They used to do that in comic books all the time. *give low class villain superweapon to make hell with* "Hey, Super so and so! Go around causing even more trouble then he is and stop him within this time limit." Now you have all hell breaking loose on both sides of the spectrum. and as we all can see, he never actually left did he? If you can't think darkly, then entering the mind of a trickster god will be pretty hard.

  • @TheGoggleguy I don't read comics and I didn't say I can't think darkly. I just choose not to most of the time. And I already said I am done arguing....What is the point of it? Everybody has their own theories. There isn't a wrong nor right since nobody ACTUALLY knows what the true story is.

  • @DarknessWeaver I didn't think we were aguring, but lets just hope we get offical answers one day.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Lol yea after I posted that I was like "Oh wait.... Guess it isn't arguing but......Still not deleting the post.." and I agree that hopefully someday it will all start making sense...Because this is the most puzzling and questionable Zelda game.

  • @TheGoggleguy You win one free internet.

  • @DarknessWeaver In addition to what Goggleguy said, gods and godly like deities do not have to have one avatar. They can be anywhere and everywhere at once.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Yes...But read what I just replied to Goggleguy...

  • *Hides in a corner after hearing 2:00*

  • There's just something very off about that salesman. I bet he wanted to use Majora's Mask for his own evil purposes before the Skull Kid stole it from him. He seemed disapointed at the end of the game when he found out that the mask's powers were erased.

  • @Triforce9426 Thought you'd like to know that in the manga, the Happy Mask Salesmen tries to flee with the mask when Link defeats him, but Link (in Fierce Deity mode) slices the mask in half and the Salesmen then leaves, simply disappearing...

  • @Triforce9426 When he found out the mask powers were erased, the mask salesman was dissapointed because he had no real reason to live anymore.

  • @Triforce9426 i'm thinking that is what he wanted, and how angry he got when you didn't bring it to him. and also how he remembered you and that you were to retrieve /his/ mask when everyone else didn't know you....oh and the fact that he appeared out of no where....HMMMMMMM.....

  • @Firesttar Well every time link goes back in time. It starts off link RIGHT in front of the Clock Tower door enterance. Its RIGHT after the moments when Link Met the Mask Guy. Thats why the Mask Guy still remembers Link all the time

  • @VampireFreakKe well i know that, but the Happy Mask Salesman can't see through walls because he's human...or is he...?

  • @Triforce9426 ha, he's alright... he does teach you the song of healing, after all.

  • @Triforce9426 He should've been the last boss. He has a LOT of masks, he looks pure evil, and when he finds out majoras mask is worthless, he should've revealed his evil side, and been the last boss, with many stages based on masks, I think he would've been the coolest boss and one of the most complicated to kill. He's so epic, he get's away with being evil AND manipulates link into getting him the mask.

  • @Triforce9426 i bet the masks powers werent erased... i bet HES the one who really flooded hyrule think about it...

  • @vexit1 The sages flooded Hyrule.

  • Comment removed

  • @FlamingForce i was kidding :/

  • @Triforce9426 Which is exactly why he's so awesome :'D

He's so creepy and unpredictable yet you have no choice but to trust the man since he's the only one capable of lifting the Deku Curse.

  • Another strong hint that Happy Sales Man is Majora;

In the intro to the game when you start it up, the first thing you see after the mask spins around, is Happy Mask Sales Man with the Mask, along with his creepy laugh.

So really, being the first character you see, the games title, his demonic nature, how can the possibility of him being Majora be denied?

  • @TheCreatorOf4 i've read all the comments and while i can't disagree since there is no evidence to prove or disprove your theory, i don't can't say some of your theories are right either. i do agree that the mask salesman has abilities we know nothing about like being able to transport, but he could have been in the forest to follow link and was ambushed by the skull kid, and if the salesman really was Majora, he wouldn't be a trickster but someone like more like Ganon or Twinrova

  • @darkl0rd6795 I don't know what you mean with the forest bit, but a Trickster can be a Villain.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Perhaps his ancestor was Majora. If you've gotten to the moon, remember the kids there? They kinda bear a resemblance to the guy. Including the one wearing Majora's mask.

I mean, it kinda explains how he could possibly own it.

    ...

And why he's such a creepy guy. o_o

  • @MegaGeek325 The kids, and that place, was an illusion made by the mask. We can agree that there is definitely a connection being made, but I would hold faith to a simpler view that Happy Mask Salesman is Majora. I still remember the introduction when you start up the game, that the first thing you see after seeing the mask being flung towards the screen, is Happy Mask Salesman possessing it... laughing... hence, "owning it?" ...

  • best song ever:D

  • you SHOULD have done that :D

  • The look on this guy's face while he's strangeling Link after he heals him from deku form use to scare the shit outta me when I was a kid.

  • You've met a terrible fate, haven't you? Mehehehe

  • We shouldn't have done this...

  • this is called the song of healing just fyi

  • Comment removed

  • uuuh... i'm not gona lie. i actually went scared at 0:45 i was so into the song and i wasn't expecting.. and hes damn eye dosen't look NORMAL. that is for sure majora.

  • @Jockoishh YES, I'm glad you agree too.

  • Comment removed

  • i just reversed this, instead of sounding weird i could actually hear the down left right of sarias song instead of some weird music..

  • WOW thats alot of tags!

  • shivers im scared

  • I passed several bricks at 0:46.

  • 0:46 made me shit bricks

  • @TheCreatorOf4

Well, the official Manga says otherwise about Majora's identity. Although I do think that the Happy Mask Salesman was insane and probably evil, both because of his theme and because he wanted to use the mask for something. And his evil laugh and all that.

And lets face it, he was a creepy bastard too.

  • @IAtelt If it's the same Manga I'm thinking of, then I must tell you that the Manga is NOT Cannon. =3

I think he is Majora, that he is the counterpart god character to the Goddess of Light, and was the one who planted part of the Tri-Force on Ganondorf.

Yes, at this point I'm taking leaps, but it all fits given no alternative.

  • I love this version! I love when the music changes, it's like when Happy Mask Salesman changes his mood.

  • Should we have done that?

  • @themonkeymanofdoom ...no... we shouldn't have.... but what I should do right now... is grab something to drink cuz im parched :P

  • @themonkeymanofdoom I'm glad we did that :)

  • Majora

    Explains everything.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 ......explain for me please. Enlighten me!

  • @VideoVisionary77 I think Happy Mask Saleman is Majora because:

    1. While he appears happy, we all know their is a darker side to him due to his sudden rage and demonic look. Is he always squinting his eyes because they are always demonic?

    2. If the moon crashes - thinks little of the event. "You've met a terrible fate, haven't you?" *Evil Giggle*

    3. The moon children are in the Happy Salesman's image.

    4. Never explains how he got the mask or why he wanted this mask of terrible power.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 But if termina is the parallel to hyrule... then why would the villain be a nobody in OOT?

    I agree with you otherwise

  • @OtakuLper There is only 1 Happy Mask Sales Man. Yes, everyone has a double, but him. He is the counterpart to the Goddess of Light, he is the Trickster who planted part of the Tri-force on Ganondorf.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Then.... what's the equivalent to the mask in OOT?

  • @OtakuLper None. Think of the Mask as a legendary God item. No matter how many worlds, deities and god-like items are one of a kind wherever world it is in.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Also, why would he be mad when link didn't retrieve the mask?

If he was majora then he would have been controlling the skull kid and his goal would have been to destroy termina, not save it

  • @OtakuLper

Majora's Mask had a life of its own. Skull kid wanted Termina destroyed (while power crazy), and Majora's Mask simply didn't want to return to Majora.

The Happy Mask Salesman couldn't care less about Termina's fate, and just wanted his Mask back. (As seen in Moon Crashing ending and Happy ending.)

  • @TheCreatorOf4 then how come he didn't show those things in ocarina of time?

  • @miniitaly "Those things?"

Ocarina of Time was made before Majora's Mask, so at the time when only Ocarina of time was made, they didn't really think too much of the plot that would be Majora's Mask just encase they were not going to be able to make a 2nd game.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Yea I think hes Majora too, but he definitely has something to do with time, since he can move faster then you can blink, make a giant piano appear out of thin air, and always resets time after three days if you dont. And also hes probably immortal since he appears in other zelda games and theirs only ONE happy mask salesman.

He be the sage of time, maybe?

  • @JHandcock1111

No, I think Majora is pretty much the counterpart to the Goddess of Light.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Goddess of Light? dont you mean Goddess of Time?

That thought passed my head too, but wasn't sure because of his gender. But even if he's not either of all that, I think he would be a decent of some sort of the ancient tribe that made the mask (the Twili), or one of that excaped before they fanished.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 I don't think he is Majora, in the manga, Majora was a beast and the mask was made of his remains, I think he is the first person to find the mask and the first one to try and control it's power

  • @dadisfad No, the Manga is not cannon, meaning it was just the artist's ideas and not the official storyline by Nintendo.

  • @TheCreatorOf4

Yeah, but it has to be approved by Nintendo

If anything, he's literally just a mask seller who knows the power of the mask, and is desperate to contain the power of it. He doesn't need to explain why he got this mask, it says it in his name, he sells masks, and loves masks. Other characters are "in his image" the dude that buys the spider house and the dude up the tree. Anyways I do agree with him having some sort of power, but probably just some sort of goddess of time carry

  • @dadisfad It still isn't cannon. The manga artist was never collaborating with the creator of the Zelda series.

While everyone can have an opinion, I don't find yours interesting or reasonably proven.

  • @xoNatalie09xo Someone just seems butthurt

    trololololo

  • @dadisfad No butthurt is more like

OMG WHY CANT THEY PUT THIS SONG IN THE GAME RAWRAWRAWRAWR ITS NOT FAIR THAT THE MANGA ISN'T CANON TO THE STORY RAWRAWRAWRAR (Hypothetically speaking, not even sure whether it is or not )

  • @headcrabslayer xD xD I'm sorry, I couldn't risist saying that (trolololo <--- that) But, I just can't believe people believe he may be majora, there' one thing to figure out that blah blah is related to blah blah, it's another thing to be crazy. (How did he get his own mask..? Does that mean he's holding himself..? TIME PARADOX EXPLOSION!!!)

  • @dadisfad Well its all either inert facts opinions and guesses. Just because one thinks one way and that way you do not agree doesn't make them crazy.

    KTHXBAIIIII

(Oh my god why did I just say that)

  • @headcrabslayer I sorry, the other sentenses I tried to form sounded more awkward than this one.

    KTHXBYE

    (I thought it was cute...)

  • @dadisfad I have a laptop. I called it "TheCreatorOf4's Laptop"

    It's legit.

  • @TheCreatorOf4

Is your soul and all your power in that laptop?

Were you sealed in that laptop by an ancient race because they feared your power?

Possession and holding yourself are two different things

  • @dadisfad Wow, that last sentence made no sense.

Never in the game did they say Majora's "soul" was sealed in the mask.

All is known about the mask, is that it was "very powerful," "used by an ancient tribe" and "sealed away (by said unknown tribe) so it would not be misused."

Never in the game did it say anything about a character named Majora, or how the mask came to be.

And it still stands, you can name something after rightful ownership. You see it in done in many games and myths.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Fine, Fine, you got me with the "soul" thing, I guess I just assumed since whenever people talk about being "sealed away" it's usually their soul being sealed.

Yeah, like "Keaten's Mask" ... wait a minute... neither Kaifei or the Curosity Shop owner's name is Keaten... because it's the name of a fox with tails... weird, huh?

  • @dadisfad It's called "Keaton Mask," without the 's. Keaton is a type of fox within that universe. When you meet the fox the first time and it introduces itself, it is clear it did not make the mask, and that the mask was simply made in it's image. Because it appears in both games, it was pretty much a brand.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Okay fine, got me there.

I still say Happy Mask Sales man isn't Majora.

(Speaking of in both games, why didn't they bring the redead mask back? They brought back most of the others. Plus what happened to skull kids mask?)

  • @dadisfad they have the zombie mask and what do you mean skull kids mask?

  • @gameboycolor47 The mask you give to the kid in the graveyard who wants to be more scary? It most certainly is NOT in Majora's Mask, and the skull mask that you give to the .... whatever they are called... in lost woods who has the flute. I just want to know what happened to that mask.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 I have never heard that theory but I can believe it entirely!!!

  • @Sharavis Thank you, I'm glad someone can agree my theory is believable.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 It has absolute possibility!!! Once you said it, I don't know it just clicked in my head. I love all the mystery zelda has in it. While at the same time no mysteries at all, the games like a mask itself.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 (yes i know your comment is old, don't care)

    1. his "outbursts" could mean many things. could be a simple personality quirk, or he could be Ganondorf's master for all we know.

    2. true, but it doesn't make sense for him to be concerned with the destruction of Termina, which he obviously is if he's helping Link save it.

    3. that also supports the theory of the Salesman (and possibly Majora) being one of the Ancient Ones

    4. also supports the Ancient One theory

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz Your response to my second point doesn't make any sense to me. In the game NEVER did he say "please save Termina," only "get my mask back (hint?) or bad things will happen, lulz."

It's good to note, in the second cut scene with him when he freaks out in begging you to get his mask back, and you silently agree, his doesn't respond with a 'thank you.'

    Word for word:

"Really? You'll do it for me?"

"I was certain you would tell me that."

Follow by a "Oh ho ho ho~" laugh.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 that would mean that Majora is separate from his power, which is in the mask, in which case the Salesman can't be Majora because the Salesman has his own powers (control of time and presumably omniscience). if he doesn't care about Termina, why does he freak out about the bad things that are about to happen to it? when he finds out that Link didn't bring the mask back, he seems really distressed about the oncoming danger, rather than just upset that he doesn't have the mask.

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz No, it doesn't not mean he is separate from his power, it means it has some in not BLESSED to have power. As I said, many gods in games do this for mortals for whatever reason, and don't become any less godly.

He doesn't freak out about the bad things, he is freaking out because he THOUGHT you had the mask, almost as you had tricked him. Funny how over dramatic he is one moment, then ok and cool with himself after his 'little act.'

  • @TheCreatorOf4 (cont) the story doesn't really make sense if the Salesman is Majora. even assuming that Majora is a separate being from the power stored in it's mask, it wouldn't make sense for it to care about the fate of Termina, since it must be an evil being if it's powers are evil. plus the Salesman does have some powers, so his power is unlikely to be sealed away in the mask. also, he had the mask when the Skullkid ambushed him, how would a being that powerful get pwned by a skullkid?

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz The game's title and the purpose of naming the mask "Majora's Mask" makes perfect sense if Salesman is Majora.

In my other comment I have already said that nothing in the game supports the fact that Salesman gives a damn about Termina. After all, seems all too convenient he will just leave the day Termina is destroyed.

In many games God like things make God-like items but never enclose all there powers in it.

As for Skull kid, I'll make a new comment for it.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 so if he doesn't care about Termina, why does he need the mask before Termina is destroyed? if it's destroyed then he can just dodge the destruction and get it some other time. but he's so dependent on Link to get it within those 3 days, and the fact that he's distressed about the oncoming events (along with not having his mask) does support the fact that he cares about the well-being of Termina to some extent.

  • He doesn't need the mask before Termina is destroyed. He doesn't care.

Why? Because you have to remember the Bad Ending. If Link does fail. He just LAUGHS it off. Like it's a game.

    His entertainment.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 "What have you done to me!!! If you leave my mask out there, something terrible will happen!" "I am begging you! You must get that mask back quickly or something horrible will happen!" "I keep telling you that if you don't get it back soon, terrible things will happen!!!" straight from the game's script. would he say those things if he didn't care about the world's destruction? he laughs it off because he knows he can just revert everything to 3 days ago.
  • @Cuddlebunzzzz Why wasn't he this dramatic in the first place? He at first made it sound like a walk in the park.

    And again, after this dramatic act, his remarks are;

"Really? You'll do it for me?"

"I was certain you would tell me that."

I ask anyone to define to me; Manipulation.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 why would he need to act dramatic in order to convince Link to get his mask? what made him think Link would refuse if he calmly asked for his mask back? he could've avoided mentioning the oncoming destruction the first time in order to get Link to agree to help, since he might think that dumping the fate of the world on his shoulders right from the start would dissuade him from helping.

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz I better sure he didn't mention the oncoming destruction the first time they met, and Tricksters are not known for sanity, and now, I'll leave it at that.

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz If you still don't like my theory, can we just agree to disagree then? After seeing your profile you may just be a troll anyway...

  • @TheCreatorOf4 i do do my fair share of trolling, but i woudl've made it obvious if that were my intention by hurling insults at you. i'm just trying to have a civil discussion about a game that i love.
