  • the whole "quiet" thing isnt all that true. my buddy and i were bass fishing last year, had the radio on and having a bnch on conversations, and we still cought togetther, about 25 largemouth, some 5 pounds.

  • the food thing is true! I was crappie fishing today, and I caught 2 when I started, then I ate cheetos, and then I didn't catch anything for the rest of the day.

  • i call it a damn fish

  • I've lived in the South my entire life, I've always heard it pronounced the way Bugknuckle says it.

  • @just117461 We call em Sac-a-lait in Louisiana. (Pronounced Socka-lay)

  • BugKnuckle - you are def not from the south. It is a crappy (crap-ie) there is no "o" anywhere in the spelling of this fishes name. Why do you pronouce an "o" when there is not one? When you get your crops out of the field do you say " I harvested my crap"? I think not.; how do you get "crop" out of "crap"?

  • @sprockettrocket63 actually most poeple in the south say crop-ie. you have it the wrong way around
