@vortexguyz934 lol i was going through the series 5 trailers, episode after epsiode and had to watch this one twice. Very emotional episode. Poeple bitched about it only because they're silly little RTD like minds didn't get it.
Considering how different this episode was to normal (and that's good different, not bad) this music fit perfectly and this would have been a lovely TV spot on the telly. As someone else said though I would have mentioned Richard Curtis, but otherwise perfect. Is it just me though or can I see this music working so nicely with an End of Time TV Spot?
Wow, that was amazing as always! And I personally thought the song was used perfectly here. It really highlighted how the episode was more about emotions rather than action and adventure.
*shifts cat away from screen, waits about 100 years before she actually vanishes* absolutely fantasticly brilliantly done. Totally captures the emotion of the episode. Nicely done! (The cat thinks so too...;))
To get the constructive criticism out of the way: It slightly seems like the BBC Announcer was answering the woman's question at the end of the video. Haha
This has to be the most appropriate trailer for the episode I've seen. Like the episode itself, it doesn't focus on the monster, but on Vincent and captures the theme of the good and bad in life. Great job!
@mowingthefrontlawn Thanks alot mowingthefrontlawn. Yeah, I did notice that when watching it back at the end but I don't think its that noticeable. Haha, also, glad you liked how I themed the trailer :)
Well actually no, I could go on about how you could've highlighted its writer, how the first 2 and possibly 3 doctors were seen, how the doctor had a smelly godmother and the Doctor was still struggling with the loss of Rory but I don't need to because you've got the perfect trailer and all that other stuff will just be icing on the cake that this trailer promises. Bravo!
@farshnuke What are you talking about? The Doctor doesn't struggle with the loss of Rory, he mentions him, but thats it. And how could you have highlighted the writer? :S
@screewee128 Okay, you're an idiot. The Doctor always has the weight of the world on his shoulders but he covers it up and pretends that everything is fine because broadly speaking it is but occasionally his facade slips and we get a brief glimpse at the turmoil underneath, understand that? Right now with Rory the loss is worse because he can't even help the people left behind since he's been removed from existence and so the facade is needed but sometimes slips. sorry for calling you an idiot.
@farshnuke But, apart from the slip-up which wouldn't have made a good clip for a trailer, when did he show it in this episode? And again, how could he have highlighted the writer? Don't call me an idiot.
Probably the best episode that the season.

I actually REALLY like this,
the music fits amazingly well, even if it isn't the doctor who theme,
i think it emphasizes the fact of Van Gogh's mental illness or depression or whatever it was,
:)

I like it, but I miss the Doctor Who theme. I liked the song in the episode, but I don't think it works here.

@Aquatics64 Thats alright, sorry you didn't like the music choice.
vortexguyz934 1 year ago
@vortexguyz934
No, I can see why you did it. The clips fit, it's just I think they would fit the standard Doctor Who theme better.
Although, that's really what the normal trailer was like, so there's not a lot of variety if you did that. Thanks for doing something different!
