They reported on the news just yesterday that 1 in 110 children are born with autism which is a 600% increase over the past decade.
I am against getting shots for the swine flu, etc. that the government rushes through the approval process not really knowing what the long term effects may be. You have to ask yourself, WHY is there such a large increase over the last decade? What has been added to our foods and drinks that is having such an impact in the rise of autism? Enjoyed your video :-)
@VirtualTourShop The 110 was posted by the CDC in 2009 I think. As far as the increase of autism in the population may be due to better reporting and media, but that doesn't mean its not perservatives or other chemicals. I am not anti vaccine, but would love to see progress in the way of a cure or treatment. Glad you liked the video.
I disagree with the description. People with autism are not looking for a cure, but acceptance. I'm an Aspie and proud of it. I'd never want it to be taken away. I guess the main reason I'm proud of it is that it makes me different from everyone else, while a lot of people want to blend in, but still... I don't autism would be considered that big of a problem if people didn't treat it like a disease that has to be cured but rather accepted autistics the way they are with no judgment or labeling.
@Simbaholic I respect your view but respectfully say that you don't speak for everyone on the spectrum, nor their parents. I am proud of my son too, but he will always need assistance. He could care less whether he is accepted or not because his mind is not on those abstract things. I as his parent would love acceptance too, but I want him to be able to fend for himself and protect himself. He can't. You can and I am so happy that you are on that level. I do wish you the best.
@forensicmommy I guess not all autistic people think about acceptance. What I mean is, if we found a "cure" for autism and all the traits and things that cause autism were eliminated, the world would be full of overly social people who never really accomplish anything. (I got that from Temple Grandin.) Still, those who do think about it probably don't like being judged or labeled for it.
@Simbaholic Maybe so, but Temple Grandin can fend for herself and function without help. I don't like labels either, but I have reality to deal with as regards to my son. I want him to have as normal life as possible and that can't happen without intervention. Again, I wish you the best.
Thank you Anita, please share it with your aunt. It takes strength to deal with a child with autism and I am sure she has had to fight and be an advocate. This song is for her too.
Thank you Janice, I am so glad you were able to relate to this song. That is what it's all about. I wish only the best for you and your son. They are so pecious.
The point of this video is that you can't tell an autistic person from a NT, right? (Well, and also raise awareness), but I mean in answer to the beginning question. You can't see autism from someone's physical looks.
Absolutely right Fred. Most people look at my son and don't know anything is wrong. He may something very normal like "Hello, how are you?" The person responds and then my son goes into which line goes to which metro station, or that he ate all his lunch or repeats a Geico commercial. Then person realizes something is not quite right. But that's ok. I'm just glad he is verbal and can tell me when his tummy hurts. Big mile stone believe me. Thanks again for your observation.
Your song touched me to tears.I will pray for you, and your son to see the day when he can fully join our world and share his life as we crack the code and reach those wonderful kids and build new bridges together. Thank you for the invite!
IIdylee, what an honor to receive such a gracious comment from you. I am happy the song touched you and that you have such wonderful wishes for the my son and the autism communities around the world. Thank you!
The song is beautiful and empowering!! All those kids are so cute, and I didn't know you were talented like that! You learn something new everyday! ^_^
I am glad that the words of this song touched your heart. This is what it's all about. So in honor of our children, this is for you. Please share the song with others who may have similar experiences. All the best to you. Thanks.
Sorry it took so long to open your message but only just noticed I had one. LOL This song is so touching and moving. I love it. Thanks for sharing the link. xx
Your slide show and lyrics you wrote are wonderful to send out your message to family with kids with autism and others. I will send you DVD copies of "Austin's Movie" and "Haley and Madonna" as soon as possible.
Absolutly beautiful! I had my son, Asa, when I was just 17 yrs old. I was very scared but the day he was born was the day I began living. He has taught me more than any other person in this world. He was diagnosed March 7th, 2006. It bring tears to my eyes watching him watch the trees blow in the wind. Thats one thing he loves doing and in that moment he ha taught me to slow down, and watch the trees! Life is beautiful all around, in every form!
Thank you. They are so innocent and can teach us so much. It is awesome to see how our children on the spectrum become fascinated with some things. Trees are nice.
My son likes watertowers. All the best to you and thanks again.
I have been studying Autism 24/7 for 28 years. In my heart I have understood it as a mind evolution. I have a son 28 now.
He was born with infintile autism, The most important part of this song is that we solve this so called mystery by going into their world deep and you will know what they feel in their heart. Great song thanks for sharing. LG
May God continue to bless your efforts to increase your knowledge about Autism as you share your findings and experience. I just don't know where we will be in another 28 years but thanks to the fighters, people are becoming aware. I truly hope we can solve the mysterious puzzle someday and prevent it.
I can feel the power of this video in my heart. The lyrics paint a picture while the photos you chose create a portrait of an issue that is still not well understood by most. I like it!! I think it should be used as part of a national campaign to promote awareness.
Thank you so much for watching. If we can bring awareness to just one family and prompt them to get testing and take action early (if necessary) my job will be done. But of course I hope to reach as many people as possible.
Beautiful!!!! I'm speechless!!!! Having a son with Autism I can tell you the words touch my soul..., the lyrics are so appropriate, especially for us who are closely affected by Autism. I am proud of you. Great Job Lorraine.
Beautiful I loved it. The words the song I just loved the whole thing. You are very talented my friend. God bless you and the beautful thing youve done for your son and all who need support on this cruel condition. You did a wonderful wonderful job.

Gracias por escuchar mi canción amiga. Te agradezco mucho. Un día de estos, quisiera traducir las líricas a español . Las gracias otra vez y cuidate mucho
Thanks so much for sharing this with the world. And opening all our eyes, even for those who haven't experienced this first hand. We're educated now. Great song, great job Lorraine.
Beautiful video I have tears in my eyes, all such beautiful children. The song melody lyrics along with the touching vocal talents of Ms. Marri Nallos. Match so perfectly.
@forensicmommy Thank you for this video. I watched it with my 3 yr old Autistic daughter. She smiled at it. She says Mom now. She says Mom to her shoes, the door, and me. I love hearing it. Especially since it is only one in about the five words she says now. Thank you for the video.
@9207beth It is oK. It will get better. We did not know if my son would talk. We knew that he could, but just wondered if he would. Now he will not be quiet and we are constantly shushing him. But it is ok and I do rejoice in his progress. Just make sure your daughter is getting everything she can from the schools and if you live in a state that requires autism therapy/treatment coverage, take every advantage. This song is for you and your daughter. Glad you enjoyed it and could relate!
@forensicmommy Congratulations from a fellow piece of the puzzle, this is a beautiful song. The topic of autism being cured or treated is a very controversial one, but I admire how gracefully you handle differing opinions. This trait is very rare in people who are affected by autism or have a loved one who is affected. You are an inspiration! :)
@MissDelphilia Why thank you! Yours is one of the nicest comments yet. I appreciate your compliments. I am so glad that you are inspired and like the song. It means so much, especially because you can personally relate to the message. Thanks again and I wish you the absolute best.
