45 was his brother larrys number...when he was a kid he chose 23 cuz it was "half" of 45....in michaels eyes he prob chose to wear 45 when he came back because he felt that his 1st stint as 23 was written...that changed pretty quickly cuz he switched back to 23 after about a dozen games......he came back to the wizards when he was 38,he was part owner and i guess he felt he could help them improve faster but it blew up in his face...he could still play but he just wasnt jordan anymore
