Okay this Like NBA Live 97 for the PlayStation from October 31st 1996 and this match up is the Wasington Bullets and the Chicago Bulls and this is NBA on TNT Broadcast by Turner Sports by drewbear1096.
I've learned so much from Pippen, I thank him everytime I'm a monster of defense cause without watching his footwork I wouldn't be half the defender I am.
you know what the bulls reminded me off during this period? (I grew up in chicago watching them) like some men's intramural team that would destory everyone and didn't even have to try most of the time against other teams.
@lebron2561 Like what i'm going to do to your comment: "Your comment sucks and i hate your name." See? I just destroyed you and i didn't even hafta try as hard as i would with other youtubers.
Great game by Pippen. I don't understand people that say Pippen rode Jordans' co-tails. I understand that Pippen didn't have a complete game when he arrived and Jordan helped him grow as a basketball player. But Scottie also wanted to be great and he pushed himself to become great. Once he became a better player the rest of the league couldn't beat that 1-2 punch. Had a lot of fun watching the Bulls when Pippen's full game was on display.
wow, you think jordan is out of the game after that bad start, then pippen makes an awesome game, and at the end jordan makes 15 points in a row!
fuck.......must have been really frustrating to play against them! ;.)
and pippen is so loyal, the guy said "scottie, a presidental performance..." and pippen says "well, it was a great win for US!" a teammate you can only dream about
@ManuelKobe If Kobe were a drug lord his name would be Manuel Kobe. "Bring me the shipment of coke or i will break your ankles.....WITH MY CROSSOVER!!
hahahah, yeah for real, i can't get this anywhere bu this website and this guy must be a loyal fa to sit there for hours on in putting this shit on here, lol...
his game never "evolved" he was that even in college....let me ask you a trvia question my maun, who gave him the position of "pointforward?"...someone coined that term....answer that for me.
Nobody ran a team like Pippen ran the Bulls from '93 to '95. He kept everyone involved, did everything, and only took over when necessary. Completely unselfish.
@dpistons149 True. But in the '93-'94 season, they only loss 2 more games than when MJ was there and they had that infamous Lionel Hollins call which arguably cost them that NY series. Then in the '94- '95 season they lost Horace Grant and they reinstated an inconsistent Jordan. They got beat, but not by much...
@ksmall82 and refused to stay on the court when Phil gave Kukoc the last shot against knicks in 94 eastern semi-finals...... only black spot in his career.
this was my first MJ game i was in attendance for. I remember the energy in the building was incredible...almost like that of a playoff game. The majority of fans were there to see MJ and the Bulls. There were the same amount, if not more cheers for the Bulls when they scored, then there were for the feeble Bullets.
Pippen was always a frustrating player to watch in a way where sometimes he was just TOO unselfish. There were many games it looked like he could go for 50 points in a game if he would just apply himself and go for it but it really wasn't in his nature.
As a Pippen fan I used to be one of those guys that would get frustrated when he didn't try to go for personal glory and at least score 40+ when he had the chance. Being older and looking back on the games now it doesn't bother me as much. It wasn't in his mentality to shoot 20+ shots a game even if he was insanely hot. He would rather set up his teammates and get them in the flow as well and that's the way you win games.
At 7:11, note the difference in physicality between then and now. Strickland, who has literally no chance of staying with Jordan on his first step (even with MJ at 34 years of age), is able to stay in front of him because he puts two hands directly on Jordan and pushes, forcing Jordan to go to the second option of the semi-post up since the foul wasn't called. That would be two FT's today. You can get to the basket as well as create space for your jumper more easily today due to no contact.
Bulls alternate jersey's were a Beast!
