Went to hillsville and swamped it twice and it took a week to thaw the ice off it. Met a few down there and had a great time. How can u not on an atv. Looking to go again this sat. Anyone interested?

@ttmuzzy50 I put a lift and winch on mine since, and a snorkle is my next mod along with different exhaust. I was the guy who stayed out of the water though! lol

Okay. I will probably go one of these winter days when there is no snow. So MKS Rd. is the closest road to the parking area though ? The only reason I ask is because I am going to type it in on Mapquest lol.

Where is the parking area located in Hillsville ?? As of right now when hunting season is over or on Sundays will people be able to ride back their w/o getting caught ?

@8Suzuki4Life As for Sundays, I don't know. I always go on Saturday afternoons. There is a sharp bend in Martin-Kelly-Spear Road near the rock piles there. There are two driveways off MKS Rd that lead to the rock piles (the drive to the West is easier with a car). Drive pas the rock piles and keep going stright and you'll come to an area with a hill to the left with a sand mound dividing the are down the middle. That's where I park and it looks like most people do.

@dustin1758 No kidding man! There's some wetland right next to there with a deep hole and a boulder on one side that almost rolls you over if you hit it too fast. I was almost stuck on it. Had to stand on one side and hit it hard enought to pop over it just a few weeks ago. Hope to see ya out there in the spring!

new lyme? isn't that near andover and cherry valley? i guess there are some trees in hillsville now. (i'm showing my age here). my uncle ran the western auto store in andover in the 60s and 70s. i live in east san diego county, have a black/chrome 66 yamaha big bear 250 (YDS3-C)- old friend (since '74). i ride her to the store and to my mom's in alpine once in a while. don't have off-road action- green stickers req'd here and gas is pricey. its about 150 miles round trip to glamis.

@davidohpaline Small world man! Sorry if we tore up your driveway if that was your farm. We got turned around with both of those trucks both towing trailers and it was the largest place to get going again! I'm out of Concord but a few are from Eastlake, South Madison, Toledo, and Thompson. Where do you ride at most? Thanks for watching!

@snowman44077 Awesome improvised hatcam. worked well. very good video. keep it up. i miss riding my quad. i got a cat 366 and it been in 4 repair for a month now. i got dirt in the carb. this vid made me feel better. hows the Honda 420 for u? im thinkin bout gtting one. I rode a 91 200 and it was awesome (till i broke it) and my dads 500 is excellent. i really like the 420's and id like to know what they are like. Thanks and keep up the great riding.

@Speeddemon5863 Thanks buddy! The 420 is a great machine. I have a 2" lift paired with the MudLite XTRs and she is unstopable. I am never let down by it. I've had it a year, ride hard, and got high centered once and had to be pulled out. Quality of the bike is incredible too. The EFI keeps it running perfect all the time, even on winter cold starts! The only down side to an EFI bike is you don't get a pull start, so be sure to pack some booster cables. I've never had the battery die however. :)

@snowman44077 thats awesome! my machine with auto choke and a block heater wont start at -8. i hate that. and it has horrible mileage. how is yours in say mpg or mile to a tank? out of my 12 liter tank i only get about 50 kms. i know if i come down there sometime i gotta get in contact with u and go riding. thanks for replying. i appreciate it. :)

lol, at like 5:58 or thereabouts, I've had the same shit happen, chicks don't realize that going down a hill is actually easier with more weight on the ass end, it's only for the bad uphill parts that they need to get off and walk
