These are references to passages. So what? Why do we have to give up our religion for appearance sake? The manufacturer can put whatever numbers and letters on their product they want. The scopes work as they should and unless you take the time of look for the reference and look it up, it harms no one.

Why should I? Do the scopes work? Did the company follow the rules in bidding the contract? My understanding is that they put these references on ALL the scopes they make. It is foolish to assert that using these scope makes our troops less safe. We are fighting an evil enemy who INTENTIONALLY kills innocent women and children. It is stupid to worry about what tick them off.

We do not indiscriminately bomb women and children. The sanction were put in place because Saddam continually violated the cease-fire agreement. He was the one starving his own people, not us. Remember the Oil for Food program that HE corrupted.

This is very fitting. Religion has separated man, cause many hundreds of millions in death in the last many thousands of years.

The sad thing is that while the reason for war was the oil, due to the incompetence and following loss, Iran now controls south Iraq.

I do not understand how this is proselytizing. I doubt most soldiers even knew that was even on their scopes, and most would not even care. They would be happy enough just to have a nice scope as opposed to iron sights. What does this say of the Red Cross?
