@ndsailor If you enter a search for "Turlough O'Carolan - Mrs. Judge " on YouTube, you will find another recording of this tune played on piano....I have the same recording and learned it by ear from that. You may find the score on the Session.org. Thanks for your kind words!
No, I mean the harmonies. If I remember correctly, all of O'Carolan's music is written as melody only. I haven't yet found a good source for accompaniment for O'Carolan. If you have one I'd love to hear about it.
The O'Carolan's music was composed at the end of the 17th century. The harmony is not very difficult to rebuid from the melody if you are used to listen to music of this period (Bach, Vivaldi etc.).
What is absolutely remarkable here is that the full harmony job is correct, despite the limited capabilities of the anglo concertina. A nice job, really.
It was a bit of work to find all the notes and get them in order, however, my playing is a bit untidy. Thanks for the kind words, though.......best wishes
Great tune. I guess maybe you would've learned the harp better if you had made songs for people on it in exchange for food and lodging? :) BTW, I've only just learned the anglo concertina and plan to learn celtic harp soon.
This is beautiful. By what means did you learn this tune. Is there sheet music available?

Very nice accompaniment. Is it your own? I'll have to steal it for my playing.

You would not be stealing from me. The tune was composed by Turlough O'Carolan, and he's been gone for a couple of hundred years.
