People shouldn't take too much into account of the times posted between SS & Clubsport. My stock series 2 VE SS ute with a 6 speed has not met a stock VE Clubby it can't beat. I love HSV, but theyre too heavy.

they are both good cars HSV has initial bite, but the turbo 6 on an auto will hit boost pass the HSV and be on its merry way until the turbo 6 hits the limit of its turbo in which a Standard XR6T is set pretty low then and only then will HSV walk on it, but they are both very nice cars HSV moreso because of the trims etc

Once you put a turbo on a car, anything can happen. But Clubsport is bloody heavy. Holden/HSV need to start losing weight but using aluminium space frames.

From reading on the forums, the V6 Turbo AWD Taurus is good for mid to low 14's stock as a rock. Friends of mine are pulling 12.6-12.8 seconds stock as a rock down the 1/4 mile in FG XR6T's with the ZF6 Auto. So you are right holdenls1ssz....the Taurus doesn't stand a chance :)

@brazzr the f6 kills the hsv! my bf MKII with stock tune loaded will munch my mates clubby which has cold air, exhaust and haltech ecu tune. and its as quick as VE r8 maybe slightly quicker. after 100 but my xr6t will always be ahead. especially on 10psi! check my vids u will see

My mates Ve SV6 munched another mates XR6T, there are alot of factors people. How hard you drive the car daily, how well you drive in a race, weather conditions etc. If its a cold night, a turbo will perform much better over N/A. Im more a holden fan but i do like the fords too. And I drive a nissan ^_^

Dunno Bout stock, but these are great value for money, I have 5 cars, including classics and moderns (73 Corvette Custom, 65 Falcon Coupe V8, Subaru STI LIberty, Zooki 4X4 and a toyota MR2T) but I am about to trade something in to go grab myself an XR6T ute to fill the void. After driving a couple today they have torque like a monster. I drove the E3 SSv and th FG XR6 T 50th anniversary, I will be signing up with the xr6t tomoz!!!

they are both good cars HSV has initial bite, but the turbo 6 on an auto will hit boost pass the HSV and be on its merry way until the turbo 6 hits the limit of its turbo in which a Standard XR6T is set pretty low then and only then will HSV walk on it, but they are both very nice cars HSV moreso because of the trims etc

From reading on the forums, the V6 Turbo AWD Taurus is good for mid to low 14's stock as a rock. Friends of mine are pulling 12.6-12.8 seconds stock as a rock down the 1/4 mile in FG XR6T's with the ZF6 Auto. So you are right holdenls1ssz....the Taurus doesn't stand a chance :)

@oldrandsom95 - Hmm...I've watched a G6 kick a SS commodore's ass. Both Ford and Holden are two separate dealers. Ford is superior, but Holden is a pretty good rival. That's why there is all this controversy and fighting over the two.
The only way Holden seems to win in videos and out in the world...is if they verse an older Ford...or something that's obviously underpowered. They can't go head to head with two cars.

0 - 140 he was never catching me.. even rolling from 50 or 60 i still pull away until he spools up.. anything that start from 90km/h + well thats a whole different ball game..

c) I have been a HSV Technician since you had your first homosexual experience. I just finished putting a new cam in a VE SS today. Not sure how many I've done this year but I know the torque specs for the head and rocker gear bolts off by heart.
d) I have WORKED ON AND DRIVEN a W427 as well as countless other HSVs over the years, so I think that I've a little more say in the matter than you. Eat a dick :D

My mates Ve SV6 munched another mates XR6T, there are alot of factors people. How hard you drive the car daily, how well you drive in a race, weather conditions etc. If its a cold night, a turbo will perform much better over N/A. Im more a holden fan but i do like the fords too. And I drive a nissan ^_^

Dunno Bout stock, but these are great value for money, I have 5 cars, including classics and moderns (73 Corvette Custom, 65 Falcon Coupe V8, Subaru STI LIberty, Zooki 4X4 and a toyota MR2T) but I am about to trade something in to go grab myself an XR6T ute to fill the void. After driving a couple today they have torque like a monster. I drove the E3 SSv and th FG XR6 T 50th anniversary, I will be signing up with the xr6t tomoz!!!

@jaiistar7 i have videos of my bf MKII with stock tune and 10psi tune vs my mates HSV 285kw clubby with haltech tune, exhaust and cold air intake.. every time to 100 i pull a car length. 60-200 we stay fairly even but mostly i will stay ahead because of the speed of 6sp auto.. with 10psi tune loaded in i leave him 7-8 carlengths behind from same 60-200 roll on.. check my vids have a look the bf mkII xr6turbo is much faster than ba!
