  • chinese always want to be better then the germans...never will...just reproduce like rabbits

  • ale plugawy język!

  • Sehr schön

  • Die Wallensteiner zieh'n vorbei is translated as General Wallenstein is passing by

But isn't more like Wallenstein's soldiers or troops are passing by?

  • @AZURNERUB

correct, but you were wrong on the movie, it's a documentary-series called "die Deutschen"

  • @VicRattlehead6655 Well, maybe they were using parts of that film there. At least at 1:28 it's 100% from that movie you can check it yourself, the movie is uploaded on youtube

  • @AZURNERUB

Yeah, several lines are not translated correctly, including the refrain, which has no words just the imitation of drum noises. And to comment the vocals itself: I doubt a passing Wallenstein army was that nice for the civilians of that era. lol

  • @HDreamer

About the last part of your comment: The same group has songs on their album, where the Wallenstein-Army sings about scaring the people away, drinking wine, getting women and destroying stuff. Pretty fun, but not for the people then, i guess. ;)

  • @AZURNERUB

correct. wallenstein = the general; die wallensteiner = wallenstein's troops.

  • Was this actually translated by the Japanese? Because I would be shocked if it was.

  • @Anathema1984 I think its Chinese

  • @ Nordost44

An old German saying which dates back to the war says: "Bet Kinder, bet! Morgen kommt der Schwed!" (Pray children, pray! Tomorrow the Swedish will come!)

What do u think is the reason for this?

  • @ Nordost44

I think it is emberassing to just say "Go Swedes! :D". Especially this smiley is completely unfitting because it´s honours not just the soldiers but the invaders who raped my homecountry für unhonerable motives.

    @ Dragasas

Believe it or not but i study history. ;) What I wanted to say is that the 30 years war was mostly fought on the soil of today´s Germany, not in Austria. So yes, the Austrians invaded other souvereign states of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation.

    Greetings

  • @Poggypock

Well maybe i say "Go Swedes" because Finland was part of Swedish Empire and men from Finland stand together with Swedes on the battlefields. You may know Hakkapeliita cavalry wich serve Swedish king during this war.

  • @Poggypock

I regret, but in my opinion it's simply an impunity to differ Austria from Germany. That's a historical mistake and no honorable person would ever accept this, no matter if he's a German from "Austria" or German from "Germany".

  • Very nice song... I always loved it.

The translation isn't 100% correct but very near... =)

Oh and its "dräuet" not "dreuet"...

which is an old german word for "droht" - "threatens"

  • 1:13 Go Swedes! :D

Germans where serious opponent during Thirty Years' War.

Can only raise my hat for our though opponents during that war.

  • @Nordost44 Ur comment is embarassing.

U raise ur hat for "though opponents"? I say u something: The 30 years war was the bloodiest war the Germans ever saw. One of three Germans died, one of two German man died when French, Swedish and Austrian invaders raped Germany and its people. Nothing to be proud of....

  • @Poggypock

How it is "Embarassing" if i want to honor those men memory who fight and died on the battlefield of the Thirty year's war ?

You think its aswell embarassing if people honor those men, women and child memories who died in both World wars ?

  • @Poggypock

I regret, but it seems you know nothing about history. Austria was a part of Germany just like Saxony or Pomerania. At this time nobody even thought of differing Austria from Germany. The Archduke of Austria was German King and Roman Emperor. In fact "Austrians" are Germans even today if they like that or not. (In our time they deny this fact themselves because of the massive allied propaganda after WW II.)

  • @Dragasas Ya, strange how the Austrians after the War claimed that they were "victims" of the Nazis too! The Fuhrer was an Austrian!
