Happen to love this video!! I am a NWA retiree ( 7 years now). I would love to get a DVD copy of this video. There are some great shots we used to take for granted. It captures the essence of everyday life,. Now, Northwest is gone. The employees are still there but DELTA has full control now. Long live NWA in our memories.
Delta lost our dog and 4 days later we still have not heard from them. We call everyday and get transferred and passed around and given new numbers to call and NO ONE cares enough to follow up or offer to help.
Delta used to be a much better carrier than Northwest. However, the last five years told a different story as Delta faltered and Northwest soared. Hopefully, the "old" Delta will make a comeback, but I kind of doubt it.

Why would ANYONE miss NWA. DELTA ROCKS!.And they were bigger thean NWA, not too mention Delta has a LOT more class. Stop crying about it. All NWA employees should be thankful that Delta bought you.
I just read that Northwest flight attendants and their union are considering suing delta and the designer because the red wrap dress only goes up to a size 18. Come do we really want to need a woman any larger than a size 18 walking around the airport or walking up and down the plane bumping our elbows with her love handles and putting their large behind in our face as she close the luggage compartments before takeoff.
As a NWA retiree, I will miss the airline I worked for 30 years. Back in the '70's, it was very different than today. Lots of good friends and some nice memories. Here's hoping DELTA will do right by it's acquisation of NWA employees.
ok the plane may have the Delta logo and they will say delta on everything so yeah on delta airlines but to a route that NWA does so its kinda both they may use an aircraft of NWA but now belongs to delta.
not necessarily true. some original delta equipment and crews are working flights from nw hubs, and vise versa. if it is an a330 or 747 it is nw, if it is a 767 or 777 it is delta
All London Heathrow to Detroit flights are operated by DL....its currently uses a 767-400ER on the route. So you are flying with Delta with an NW coded flight.
Um...guys, ya'll got it all wrong. 1. The guy that wanted to fly for NWA, but said he's going to have to find another airline to work for:you don't need to! Nwa will still be around. Part of the agreement was that nw could still operate on thier own accord, just that delta owns them now. 2. Delta doesn't want all of the nw planes to be in thier livery, so delta only took one of each model that nw uses, and painted the delta livery on it. All other nw planes are still going to use the nw livery.
NW...I feel your pain. I was PanAm when Delta "acquired" us. Painful, painful, painful. But, hey, Delta turned out to be OK. It's just a job after all. And, the bottom line is the paycheck and the benefits. Just don't drink the Delta Kool-Aid.
Well it was fun while it lasted, but as the saying goes all good things must come to an end. I want to say farewell to a fabulous airline and to awesome co-workers, i will miss you greatly, and i will miss the "bowling shoe" forever, but it will forever live in my heart and in my memories. Good bye NWA and thanks for a wonderful 2 years with you you will be missed. Too all my co-workers, it was fun i had a blast and will never forget y'all.
you should check out Delta's blog they've got some info there on the merger. To answer you question yes they will repaint all of NWA's planes including the Airbus', also yes as the merger comes along this year and next year they will change the NWA interior to the Delta interior. That includes seats, and I think on some aircraft the inseat TVs.
@UAL602 you forgot 777's to LR and ER...Delta before the merger only had 757, 737-800, md 80, md 90's and 767's.. NWA gave them 777, a330's and 747's and the whole 319 and 320 fleet plus outdated dc9's. also 787's are not in full service yet and b777-200lr and ers are betterr than the 787 I think they crammed the 787 together b777 are more spacious I love flying them.
@Sexyfa What the fuck every airline fleet in the world has at least 1 airbus (slight exageration) and anyways NWA was 1,000,000x's better than delta so STFU
delta has all the goodies from northwest...including new generation aircraft from airbus and boeing,B-787 is coming in....hoping that delta dnt shrink in asia....
Hey this is for josh198869: northwest airlines and delta airlines will work together to increase flight/new destinations. northwes agreed to become the new delta airlines so they would not strugle in this economic times. the routes of northwest will not change only airplane logos/flight attendant uniforms and service. hope that explains it.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) What do we love air travel?
(3) Why do we feel that meals on aeroplanes are so interesting and special?
(4) What is the fun and enjoyment to dinning at 42000 feets high?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
