  • Delta And northwest are awesome

  • Happen to love this video!! I am a NWA retiree ( 7 years now). I would love to get a DVD copy of this video. There are some great shots we used to take for granted. It captures the essence of everyday life,. Now, Northwest is gone. The employees are still there but DELTA has full control now. Long live NWA in our memories.

  • @022921 Another retiree. What a tearjerker this is. I got out in 2003. Glad not to be working for Delta.

  • delta an northwest were both broke so they joined to combine the two airlines to make money. delta defiantly did not by northwest

  • FUCK DELTA AIRLINES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Delta SUCKS, actually all American carriers SUCK!! Oh and i am an American. Fly Etihad!!

  • Delta lost our dog and 4 days later we still have not heard from them. We call everyday and get transferred and passed around and given new numbers to call and NO ONE cares enough to follow up or offer to help.

  • @imrichlyblessed Omg!I would be in pieces if they lost my pet:(i wish i could help you

  • i flew nwa there were snobs to Honolulu, plus delta has class and nwa needed some updating.

  • NWA was a much better airline than Delta. NWA will be sadly missed by it's passengers and employees.

  • totaly

  • Northwest was a Gret airline like in the 90s and 80s and plus everytime I see A northwest plane it really feels Like there from the north

  • @chrisdtw Yep, they go to Yogyakarta also!

  • Northwest is More Beautiful than Delta See 0:27

  • Delta just wanted Northwest's routes, hubs and aircraft.

  • Delta used to be a much better carrier than Northwest. However, the last five years told a different story as Delta faltered and Northwest soared. Hopefully, the "old" Delta will make a comeback, but I kind of doubt it.

  • it brought a tear to my eyr

  • Did NWA have more aircraft types than Delta???

  • whats with NWA?

    i don´t know

    can you say it me

  • Why would we mis NWA because we worked there for 25 years thats why by the way Delta sucks

  • Delta didn't buy NWA. It's called a merger.

  • great video!welcome nwa.let s work together as a great team

  • is all of northwest turning into delta??? and the planes r gettin painted to look like delta???

  • 1:29 I don't know if I will ride that. *sigh*

  • I miss the Red Tails in Minneapolis, (KMSP). Great job though...

  • Farewell NWA. I remember seeing all those red tails a DTW in years past. When I go to DTW next year that site will be gone.

  • Whats the song in this clip?

  • As a NWA retiree, I will miss the airline I worked for 30 years. Back in the '70's, it was very different than today. Lots of good friends and some nice memories. Here's hoping DELTA will do right by it's acquisation of NWA employees.

  • the 747 is an epic looking aircraft as it flies off the runway at MSP to Tokyo

  • I'm due to fly London Heathrow to Detroit in July with NWA. So will i still be flying NWA or Delta instead? Thanks.

  • ok the plane may have the Delta logo and they will say delta on everything so yeah on delta airlines but to a route that NWA does so its kinda both they may use an aircraft of NWA but now belongs to delta.

  • Oh right, any idea of the aircraft it will be? And your opinions on quality of the airline would be good! :)

  • my guess would be A330.

  • not necessarily true. some original delta equipment and crews are working flights from nw hubs, and vise versa. if it is an a330 or 747 it is nw, if it is a 767 or 777 it is delta

  • All London Heathrow to Detroit flights are operated by DL....its currently uses a 767-400ER on the route. So you are flying with Delta with an NW coded flight.

  • nope. im flying that excact flight this spring. booked it and everything on delta.. northwest has nothing to do with that flight..

  • @grahamisthebest9 lol it will be delta..

  • I want to fly with either southwest, jetblue, united, delta or american.

  • Virgin America Airlines are the best!

  • i wanna fly with us air

  • Um...guys, ya'll got it all wrong. 1. The guy that wanted to fly for NWA, but said he's going to have to find another airline to work for:you don't need to! Nwa will still be around. Part of the agreement was that nw could still operate on thier own accord, just that delta owns them now. 2. Delta doesn't want all of the nw planes to be in thier livery, so delta only took one of each model that nw uses, and painted the delta livery on it. All other nw planes are still going to use the nw livery.

  • NW...I feel your pain. I was PanAm when Delta "acquired" us. Painful, painful, painful. But, hey, Delta turned out to be OK. It's just a job after all. And, the bottom line is the paycheck and the benefits. Just don't drink the Delta Kool-Aid.

  • lol kool aid

  • I love it

  • Well it was fun while it lasted, but as the saying goes all good things must come to an end. I want to say farewell to a fabulous airline and to awesome co-workers, i will miss you greatly, and i will miss the "bowling shoe" forever, but it will forever live in my heart and in my memories. Good bye NWA and thanks for a wonderful 2 years with you you will be missed. Too all my co-workers, it was fun i had a blast and will never forget y'all.

  • did you see the leg space in 0:51

  • i love nwa im goging to miss them my dream was to fly with them but tme to move on for a other airline to fly

  • same here....

  • Thanks for posting! No more NWA livery. Uniform Switch-over 30 March 2009! It was a great run!!

  • That soon? They must be painting planes like crazy!

  • No, they're not that fast! Just uniforms and on-board products on Mar. 30. Planes will take a bit longer!

  • Oh! You meant employee uniforms. I thought you were using the adjective uniform and meant aircraft liveries. That explains everything!

  • I've flown NWA for 20 years..... I will always use my NWA gold tags til the end! Delta S^^^s!!! breeze way please!

  • Sounds like it is time for you to retire. I hope I never have to fly with you.

  • northwest breezzed away already delta rocksssss.

  • is there still going to be nwa planes

  • nope, their all being painted in delta livery

  • i like delta but i will miss the nwa colors in the sky.

  • will the seats on the plane also change into delta's or will it remain nwa's? also will delta take their nwa's airbus's and make it delta livery?

  • you should check out Delta's blog they've got some info there on the merger. To answer you question yes they will repaint all of NWA's planes including the Airbus', also yes as the merger comes along this year and next year they will change the NWA interior to the Delta interior. That includes seats, and I think on some aircraft the inseat TVs.

  • They will be the Delta Airlines Livery EVERYTHING as soon as they can get the products to airports and planes into hangers to be repainted...

  • it seems u at ual...ive heard that continental airlines is buying united very soon....they try to knockdown the union...

  • united is a way bigger airline then continental. that wont happen.

  • delta has all the junk planes...

  • obviously you never worked on a scarebus

  • DL is # 1. Just hope we dont keep the airbuses.

  • why not keep the airbuses?

  • @UAL602 they crash too much

  • @UAL602 you forgot 777's to LR and ER...Delta before the merger only had 757, 737-800, md 80, md 90's and 767's.. NWA gave them 777, a330's and 747's and the whole 319 and 320 fleet plus outdated dc9's. also 787's are not in full service yet and b777-200lr and ers are betterr than the 787 I think they crammed the 787 together b777 are more spacious I love flying them.

  • @Sexyfa may i know why? lol

  • @Sexyfa airbuses are awesome! - better than 737s

  • @Sexyfa What the fuck every airline fleet in the world has at least 1 airbus (slight exageration) and anyways NWA was 1,000,000x's better than delta so STFU

  • delta has all the goodies from northwest...including new generation aircraft from airbus and boeing,B-787 is coming in....hoping that delta dnt shrink in asia....

  • aww

  • delta was so lucky to have nwa....nwa still number 1 airline...

  • i agree it is #1 delta is luck to have its new routes to Tokyo, singapore, Manila

Philippines and other asian routes so i do agree!

  • Screw Delta.

  • nice vid, but i dont get it...

is delta and nwa combining or something?

  • what happened at 1:37???

  • They were de-icing the plane

  • oh i see it looked like the plane was on fire or something...

  • wait...all of the NWA planes are going to be re-painted to the DL colors by March???

  • yeah all NWA planes will be re-painted into the delta airlines logo. currently the boeing 747-400 has been re-painted.

  • That would be cool if they had half NWA and half Delta logo. NWA on one side and Delta onthe other

  • Hey this is for josh198869: northwest airlines and delta airlines will work together to increase flight/new destinations. northwes agreed to become the new delta airlines so they would not strugle in this economic times. the routes of northwest will not change only airplane logos/flight attendant uniforms and service. hope that explains it.

  • I must admit im gonna miss the northwest colors. It'll be cool to see the delta colors on the 747 and A330 from northwest airlines.

  • nice vid dude keep it up. =]

  • Thanks I know it is so sad to say good bye to a great airline! and thanks for the 5 stars!

  • why are they going ? i no that sounds stupid

  • Great Video, just sad to see the red tail disapate, and great choice of music! 5 stars.
