you can see very good on every navy helicopter pilot that they are specialist in flying with a rope out and drop people on a boat or what ever or pick people from a ship, never see that with another pilot that is doing that on sea...
In 1999 I saw a pilot of the RAF doing a great job either - picking up a dutch fisherman from the very small aft of his fishing vessel.
The quick reaction of our squadron, the first aid given by one of our quartermasters and last but not least the abilities of the Royal Air Force pilot and his crew saved this man's life, confirmed by a message we received from the Commander in Chief of the German Fleet.
ok nice, it's a must for a RAF helicopter pilot to be a professional. RAF is a very good equiped SAR how'd i say...squad or company is not the right word...anyway the creators of the Sea King can handle it perfectly on sea!:)
just like the Westland Lynx helicopters, fast it can be handled easily, but it has not a lot of space...but it's a perfect machine:)
