  • "They know what there talking about", ha they don't know shit how to run.

  • Do you suggest actually seeing your foot/body mechanics while running in different pairs of shoes? This can be hugely beneficial in making the proper choice for running shoe.

  • Wanna know what running shoe to get? Problem solved with the new iPhone Application called ‘Wet Test’ on iTunes. If there’s a shoe for you we will find it.

  • Good video, Try downloading Wet test of iTunes

  • Good video

  • I got saucony and they're extremely dissappointing

  • Rich's presentation was basic and accurate for the most part. You have to cater to each runner differently in terms of fit/function & even presentation of the product. Some customers demand a more technical explanation of the product while others are satisfied with simply trusting the associate. At the end of the day, a running specialty store's role is to guide a runner to the best options of footwear based off injury prevention and comfort. If they fail there, shop elsewhere.

  • test LUNGE running shoes, guys ! Handmade in Germany, conservative design.

    Very longlasting.

  • Shin splints are a factor of running with heel strikes: driving the heel into the ground. No great runners land on their heel, they land mid-foot. Always land mid-foot. Watch the Kenyans, the best runners on earth. Landing on your heel forces you to flex your muscles (keeping it simple) in a manner that keeps your toes up, driving the heel into the ground (heel strike). Bad shoes will only make it worse. But it's likely more your running and specifically landing form causing that.

  • @8s8lw8d Thats so not true? Whether you land on your heel or forefoot is dependant on the shape of your foot and your natural range of motion. Also runners do not land on the mid point of their foot, most long distance runners land on the toe of their foot. There are techniques such as pushing through your feet on each strike which reduce the amount of energy wasted in a heel strike, but what you need is a shoe with heel support. Sprinters also tend to be under pronators, using the heel.

  • i 'am very interested in finding a running shoe with the flat sole and not "cut out" im a big guy and the flat soled running shoe looks like it would be comfort for my feet.i couldn't recognize the brand shown with the flat sole was it a saucony brand? i don't mind spending the money, if there is one thing i have learned over the years is don't be cheap when it comes to workout equipment, i see it a a personal investment.

  • @BAULMOVEMENT New balance offers different sizes in length and also width, mayb u can check them out

  • @BAULMOVEMENT : Whether you are a big or not, the type of foot you have is going to be the most imperative part of your fit process. Once you identify your foot type, EVERY brand has a shoe that is in that category--some just feel better than others based on fit and cushioning technology. Some common straight shoes such as seen in the video are: Brooks Beast, Brooks Dyad, Saucony Stabil, Mizuno Renegade, and so on...lots of these shoes are Motion Control others like the Dyad are neutral

  • the moral of the story is to never run and therefore you wont get shin splints

  • Yes. To run, you need good shoes. I used to do track & field, but I switched to gymnastics, because I don't like wearing shoes or socks.

  • this guy sounds like will forte

  • I've always been an athlete (baseball,Football, wrestling) and now in college want to start running. i've been going out for 5 mile runs and have had lots of problems with blisters on my feet. i'm looking to only spend $50-$75 on shoes. PLEASE OFFER TIPS ON WHAT I SHOULD GET.

  • @murphy0847 well seeing as this was posted 3 months ago i hope uve already got some shoes, but realistically if u want a good pair of long lasters ur probably lookin at 65-100 dollars for ur shoes, i love asics, ive ran asics, brooks, saucony, and nike and i personally love the asics, i recommend going to ur local small family owned running store cuz they really tend to know what they are talking about, if ur in so cal, hit up one of the "running centers" greatest shoe store ive ever been to

  • @123Bloodmeat Cool I did end up getting Asics since that was the brand I used in wrestling, I spent about 80 and so far happy with the choice

  • i got a pair of adida supernovas about 5 weeks ago and since using them ive managed to get down to doing 2.5 / 3 minute miles on half marathons - awesom running shoes

  • This shoe was the Adida's Supernova. They don't make this specific shoe anymore...

  • @dwmaillist Yes they do, although they're called Supernova Sequence (Support) & Supernova Glide (Neutral).

  • Can you tell me the model of this Adidas? I had them, but I can not find them now.

  • Comment removed

  • Just to be a stickler, the title at the beginning of the movie isn't using correct grammar. It should read, "Which running shoe will maximize my speed and comfort?" There is no need for a comma. Thanks

  • I hope you have been trawling the whole of u tube to correct all of the mistakes! Is it 'isn't using' or 'doesn't use' i thought infinitives stated facts. Either way I think the guy gets his point across which is the most important thing

  • I want shoes that are lightweight and comfortable.

  • i m so impressed with my adidas vanquish

i just never expected they were gonna fit me well

    my feet are agree(very confortable)

    so far so good

  • i just wanted to know what you think of the Asics Kayano 15

  • I don't have any experience with Asics, but I've heard a lot of people say they love the Asics gel. Maybe other viewers could chime in with their experience with Asics.

  • I just bought some Adidas Supernova glides, have you had experience with this shoe?

  • @saynotoemo84 you do not want a gel filled shoe because you can not feel how you are running an you could heart your self but asics are comfy

  • Adidas and asics are the best!

  • Dude your a genious i was running in nike trainers and after a while my legs got messed up and now with the asics my run today was ok and now i have a race tommorow so i should be alright thanks man your dead on!!

  • Whats the better typicly adidas or asics?

And are nike air maxes any good for cross country?

  • It's rather hard (probably impossible) to make a blanket statement about which shoe is better. I really like adidas today, but I didn't like them in the past. I got a really bad adidas running shoe once. So shoes from the same maker can be on or off depending on a lot of factors. Your best bet is probably to find a specialty shop that will let you try a few pairs and is open to returns if you get a dud. BTW, I've also enjoyed running in Nike Air Max...

  • thanks dude i just got some asics yesterday and yea i love air maxes too. ok do you know how to speed up the heeling process for shin splints?

  • I only get shin splints when I'm running in the wrong shoe (like a cross trainer) or an old shoe. Based on my experience you should feel a huge difference by the end of your first run.

  • @dwmaillist adaidas makes crappy rack and field shoes though :(

  • That girl with no eyebrows is scary.

  • maybe she shaved em off to be more aerodynamic. ahahahah jk

  • are the Adidas smart ride shoes good

  • What's the shoe at 0:27 ?

  • Adidas Supernova. I've been running in it for the last year and I love it.

  • I agree with Joethecardkid

I got a pair of Asics Gel-Kayano yesterday and they are soooooo comfortable

  • saucony is the best

  • ASICS Gel-Kayano 15, are the real deal.

  • I've been really happy with my Adidas Supernovas. I thought I was a Nike guy, but now I really like Adidas.

  • i thought shin splints take months to heal correctly.

  • I would have thought so too, but I know what I experienced. I was quite surprised at the end of that run. But I suppose if the problem in my shins was muscle related and my new running shoes worked those muscles in a natural way, that could explain it. Anyway, go buy some real running shoes for running.

  • i did ..i bought Asics Stratos2 Gel.

from a small independant sports shop..that gets you to run on a running machine and you can watch via a slow motion camera. The owner said those shoes were perfect for my foot and running style. He also got me to stand on a gel mat ..which tells him about my arches and foot size.

    so far no probs !!

  • which shoe is the best for severe overpronation?

  • maximum support running shoes.

  • which shoe is that

  • The one he mentions at 1:46 , the "stiff shoe"

  • thanks for the tip

  • It's hard to say if there's one show that's best. If you have a special situation I recommend going into a specialty store and let a pro fit you with the right shoe.

  • mizuno is the best for v ball and running!

nike is the best for b ball!

addidas isnt really the best at anything lol

  • Asics Gel 1100 / 1110 my favourite.. Asics foreverrrrr yooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Asics all the way.........Asics Rule!!!

  • newbalance all the way...

  • Word.

  • @dietweed Agreed. Most of these consumers don't seem to care about where or how their shoes are made. Sure, some New Balance shoes are now made overseas or "Assembled in the U.S." but they still have many that are "Made in USA" which are the only one's I'll buy. Ever since I can remember, people have considered New Balance shoes to be "ugly" and "unpopular" so they don't even want to try them. U.S. consumers are too undemanding about what they consume. I vote with my wallet.

  • I just got some under armour running shoes. Not the best looking, but an excellent shoe none the less.

  • does adidas have a good stability/motion-control shoe? i tried the brooks addiction shoes in the video and they felt like bricks and seemed to be for flat feet.

  • wow really? i was just thinkin about gettin some Brooks cause I heard they are suppose to be the best ones.

  • if you don´t have severe overpronation or flat fleet i would recommend that you look at the brooks adrenaline instead. they´re stable without feeling to heavy.

  • Rich Harris: "Adidas has a great stability shoe, the Supernova Sequence. I've put some miles on a pair and like the shoe a lot. Instead of a dual density post, they use a thin piece of material laminated on to the midsole. It's called a "pro-moderator". The reason I like it is it doesn't tilt me to the outside like some dual density posts do. I'm standing flat on the shoe and when I run I think this support is better for my gait. We've had success with this shoe for both men and women."
