  • Though i never had any birds in my life but when i sees injured bird on yhe street, i will also tries my best to help them. Yet, this owner is doing such cruelty to his pet bird. I strongly feels laws terms should be imposed heavily on animals abuser, otherwise this people are never scared to take in a second or third one to abused. Hunt this sicko and give him a good hard one.

  • not one swallow is forgotten in god's presence,or parrot either.

did not want to see him go.

  • Why did the original owner treat him like that? What the hell is wrong with people, that poor bird! I would rip the owners head off and shit down his neck if I seen him treat any animal like that! I love my African grey, and his life is worth more than the previous owner of Braveheart. God this shit pisses me off!

  • poor parrot :( what happened to him?

  • I would like to pay that nasty owner a visit. Possible you can furnish his name and address to me?

  • @hotuckfai

Can I come to, maybe "we can put him/her in the hospital" if u know what i meen!!!

F**** crazy people, I hope someone does the same to the owner.. Fuck it makes me so angry...

  • i would do the exact same thing to the previous owner of that bird, except i would do it 15 times untill ive burned off his entire legs. He needs to die

  • After reading how this grey was treated made me feel sick !!!

Godbless you for looking after this grey until its sad end xxx

  • I wish God had made it to where people could feel what they inflicted on others. Like if you hurt an animal on purpose you feel just what they feel.

I don't understand the minds of some people. Its really sad.

    RIP precious bird

  • wow, if i ever met the mother fucker who has the heart to burn this fellow's legs off, i would kill him.

  • omg that made me cry :( ill die if anything happemd to my parrot

  • that MOTHER!@*&!@*&!*@! I outta hold his feet to the burner and burn them off!!!!

    Did this guy get prosecuted!??!?!?!?

How did you get get him from the owner?

  • just love it!

  • poor poor bird. thats just outright cruelty..... may he fly free now. thank you for giving him a better life even if it was just for a short while

  • That is such a sad story. People that treat other creatures like this must have evil in their hearts. I'm just glad Braveheart found some peace before he died x

  • Hello Braveheart,

Stopping into say hello. Shadow & Star from the Bird Channel.

  • I never thought of them as being 'poopie presents'

I always thought that having a bird in my life was a joy and that the poop was, well sh*tty, now I get the whole 'poopie present' thing. So long as there is poopie, your bird is there.

  • what the f$#K is up with the world today. I have an african grey myself, and the intelligence of these creatures is outstanding, so sad braveheart wasn't appreciated as he deserved.

    :(

  • OMG i cant believe it! Did they place charges on his abusive owner? God knows how badly i wanna STRANGLE people that do things like these to poor animals.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. We adopted our Grey from a shelter, after he had been removed from an abusive home. He has come a long way, but still has the baggage from his previous owner. Bravehart was a beautiful bird, and was lucky to have spent his last days in a loving home with kind people who loved him.

  • Burnt his feet off?! I am speechless! :O That is just horrific, to say the least!! I hope his previous owner (or should I say, his heartless, cruel, brutal, inhuman criminal jerk) gets his OWN back! I hope he gets thrown to hell after he dies in his house that's on fire and lands on hot coals for ruining this beautiful innocent darling. RIP Braveheart you poor feathered angel xx

  • burned off his feet?!I dont understand how some people can do that to living creatures...rest in peace little buddy

  • I use to be a peace officer with the SPCA. The abuse I witnessed was horrific. I had to be restrained on my last complaint by 4 police officers. A man had thrown 5 kittens at a cement wall and was threatening to throw the reaming two while the mother cat and his wife were scared into a corner. I managed to get the kittens from him while breaking his arm in 3 places. I would have paralysed him if the police did not stop me. The judge heard he resisted arrest resulting in his arm being broken.

  • Unfortunately, civilized society, (political correctness,) frowns upon "instant justice." In a fair world, the slime-ball who hurt this wonderful, little soul would be suffering our retribution as we speak and you'd have plenty of help breaking a few more bones.

  • Wow. I think that if I were the guy who was doing that stupid *&(* , I would have just handed over the kittens and their mom and sat down quietly while being arrested. But to hear that you had to be restrained by 4 cops shows you have a huge heart, and to hear that the judge heard a different story shows that so did the other officers working that day.

Animal abusers need to have the same justice done to them. RIP Braveheart, you cute ball of fluff.

  • Poor bird....I cant believe what i have read from the asshole who thought the bird deserved what happen to him. After reading his or her comments I have realized this is a sad person who is everdently an insecure idiot. He actually commented that any animal who thinks he is better than him - ok they have a few cards missing from the deck.

  • Please, God. Let me meet his former owner face-to-face before I die.

  • If you ever do meet up with him, save some for the rest of us!!

  • I'm SO sorry to hear that Braveheart has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.

Just as Alex The Grey before him, Braveheart will live on in our thoughts and our hearts.

Rest in Peace, Dear Little Soul. You may fly free now and will not be forgotten!

    Chris & the flock

  • I can't believe someone would do that to such a beautiful animal. They have the same rights we do. I appreciate what you did. thank you so much. (thumbs up)

  • Being a bird rescuer myself, I often see how cruel we humans can be. If only I could get within choking distance of the maladroit who harmed this beautiful bird.

  • OMG how could you do something like that to a grey? or even any animal. I dont have a grey at the mo, but i'm hoping to get my first one early next year. Its amazing tho how people like that come to own these birds, I think there should be stricter rules on owning them!

  • poor thing.... wish i could adopt him

  • i think the staff should Congratulat them selfs good job welldone god bless you

  • It probably has a phobia of humans now.

  • that bird didnt look happy for sure

hope the motherfucker rots in hell

  • I've seen pictures of Braveheart, and I've heard his sad, sad story, but I haven't seen a video of him. Poor guy!!! He actually gets along on his feet pretty well, though. It's amazing how birds can adapt. Is Braveheart a permanent resident at SCBR? Last month I donated $10 to your rescue, because you do such a great job!

  • i cant believe that someone would be so narrow minded to actually blame the bird over a vicious cruel owner who does'nt deserve a beautiful animal,he took responsability when he took on the bird it was up to him to train it properly, hope he suffers bad in his life....well done to these people who now look after and care for braveheart...

  • Did Braveheart's owner get charged with animal cruelty?

I am amazed when people dont have patience for a bird that does what birds sometimes do - bite and get aggressive. It just breaks my heart to see such a small defenseless creature subjected to something like that, especially a species that can be very loving and kind if its trained right - I know coz I have a grey.

  • oh they aren't defenseless lol

ever been bit by a gray? ouch!!! hahaha

but yea i know what ur saying we're 100 times bigger than they

  • OMG i cant beleive what happened to him.. thats so sad! is there a place to help fund your facility? you do great work

  • Check out freespeechplease on pg 2. I think it answers our q's about how could anyone do this. The comment "I don't take kindly to animals who think they are better than me", is the key. Parrots don't see the world in terms of hierarchy but bonds of friendship and trust and these aren't concrete. They aren't like other pets who feel secure with a master. Parrots hate being bossed about. If people can't stand being corrected and backchatted - and there are plenty who don't - DON'T GET A PARROT!

  • It is disgusting that anybody who calls themself "human" would treat a defenseless bird in the way that Braveheart's former owner treated him. Thank you for all of the work you've done for these beautiful creatures! You have truly given these birds a "new pair of wings" !

  • God bless you. :>

  • I can't believe anyone with a conscience could do something like that. The owner will pay for it someday. I am so glad that you have provided the bird with a new life.

  • poor baby look at him I fell bad for him that is just sad whoever hurt him should go to hell I'm sorry but that's just the way I fell

  • Omg! the poor little thing! How anybody can hurt a magnificent bird like that just baffles me! Soooo glad that he has found a safe, loving home with you. He may never completely trust you, but who can blame him after what he's been through - but I'm sure hes very grateful and loves you none the less! As for all the idiotic comments on here by all the mindless idiots, all I can say is - go get a life, and stop trying to muscle in on everybody else's you sad, pathetic morons!

  • I commend you on taking this poor bird on and giving it a loving home. I hope whom ever done those awful things to it gets theirs. Good luck.

  • I actually named this dear bird. If ANY of you thnk this is a piss take, then surely YOUare the paople who would have walked away from his torture and torment. Barb (his rescuer) didnt. She fought for him and brought him home. Sure he's still mad, BUT he is SAFE. Can you not SEE that??????

  • omg how heartless are you? no matter how arrogant anyone is they dont deserve that abuse! and hes not arrogant hes obviously jumpy because hes been put through hell!

you seem arrogant to me... does that mean you deserve to have your feet burnt at a stove? no!

  • man you're so heartless, the bird came from a rescue centre, nother words it was tortured for most of its life. if you were in that birds shoes i'm sure you wouldnt act any better. people like you should go fuck themselves

  • Thats because you're retarded. No really I'm not kidding.

  • No really... you're a moron. If you were tortured and burned to the point your feet were gone, I'm sure you'd be hostile and have trust issues. I'm surprised you just cant see this. Think of people who have been abused as a child and grow up with trust issues. Imagine that on a more dramatice scale.

  • @freespeechplease: This is kind of boring. If you really want controversy go to the Transformers Trailer and tell the fans that the film is crap. That way you might collect much more insults. I guess about 0,000001 percent of the bird people here will actually believe you mean what you are saying.

  • Well if you hate birds so bad then why are you watching a video that is obviously about a bird and then posting comments about it. Oh I know why because apparently you have nothing else to do with your time but try to insult others who are trying to better the lives of God's creatures. Apparently you need some kind of therapy to work through whatever it is in your head that makes you think it is ok to torture anything that is living as in this case.

  • The only reason that bird is so hostile is because that it doesn't know that these people can be trusted after the way it was treated. Therefore, it feels threatened, and when it feels threatened, it uses his beak to let everyone know that it doesn't want to be involved in anything. It's just scared, really.

  • no matter how my lovebirds bite my finges and eyes, I never abused them, it never came across my mind to hurt them, all I could do is to love them and care for them, it is true that a very serious thoughts on whether we should buy a pet should be well considered.

  • I advice that shit ass of a man who done this to watch all my vedios on my African Grey and than he would regret doing this and know what joy he is know missing.....

  • angelinaa2fine, you see this heartbreaking video as a mere opportunity to spam your site?! YOU. HAVE. NO. SOUL.

  • I whole heartedly agree with everyone. I hope the man who tortured that sweet bird has his feet burned off... in hell. Thank goodness Braveheart made it to your loving care.

  • I have tears streaming down my face, Braveheart is so brave to live and play now, bless you for taking care of these parrots. I got my cag from a bird rescue in Georgia, he had been abused and it is taking lots of love and patience, but he is getting braver every day. If anyone forgot and held up a pce of clothing close to him, he would shake all over and hide. I also have cockatiels that were unwanted by their owners. They are a joy every day!

  • I'd go apeshit if I ever saw anyone pulling a stunt like that on any animal. I just don't understand how someone could do that and live with themselves.

  • My goodness poor Braveheart (such a fitting name bless). I'm so glad he made it to you and your safe environment. You do a wonderful thing. I'm so glad there are still nice and loving/caring people like you left in the world.

    Keep up the good work.

    ~Lisa

  • omg i feel so sorry for that cute ;little parrot i hope the abusive owner burns his feet off

  • thats sick .. who would want to do that to a poor defenceless animal .. i hope that the abusive owner got what he deserves !!!!!

  • god, why would someone do that to a bird??

  • I would like to put that mans feet on a hot plate and see him burn. Thank God Bravehart has a good home now.

  • I cried watching this after reading the information. I am stunned a person could be so evil. I am so, so relieved that sweet parrot is away from him and in your care.

  • I certainly hope that there is a special place in hell for people who do such things to animals. No animal deserves this kind of treatment, no matter what kind of "malice" we think they hold in their heart for humans.

  • BURNED HIS FEET OFF????

kai wtf who would do such a thing that... omg i cant even imagin like wtf could possibly be going through his head to make him do that and just like GOD!

  • Did Amy ever contact you all?

  • yes. I think they're working on maybe visiting the shelter in a few weeks.

  • If that sick son of a bitch can do it to a parrot he can do it to a person. I hope he doesn't have any children. Why would you pay all that money for a beautiful animal and torture it.

Good luck i am so glad it now has a caring owner.

  • I do not know one person I associate with that would do such a thing, yet the world seems FULL of these people! What failures their parents were that they couldn't teach them any better.

  • Did the abusive owner get jail time? Hope so, maybe someone in the jail will give a little payback that they deserve.

  • Make me wanna cry to know that he was tortured in that manner. Poor bird. I can tell that Big B is still having a hard time trusting someone right now :(

  • The disgusting people who tortured this bird should be tortured in the same manner themselves. Kudos to you and to Braveheart's fighting spirit.
