Hello! That is very incredible you do about your udu drum. May you share how do you get that sustained sound when holding your hand on the top of the neck? Is this Lp Udu? I also have Lp, but I am allmost goten dissapointed about it. The low tone is very weak and shortly sustained. Maybe I am doing something wrong?... May you give some advice regarding that said by me. Thanks.

i have an udu drum just like that but when i tap the outside with my fingers it doesnt give off the clear sound like yours does, do i need a mic to get that sound?

I think that is #2. I have a #3 and that looks likes the next size down. I love the way he used the feedback.. Never seen that done before.. Tasty!

i got a LP Udu just like yours, although a little bigger. I'm still practicing, it's gonna take time til i'm worth posting videos on youtube but looking all those videos are inspiring.

I made a really tiny clay udu drum, The spherical segment is about 4 inches in diameter, the neck thing is about an inch and a half long, but I deacorated it so the side hole is the mouth of a face with stylized features. it can only make a noise by patting on the mouth or top of the neck though, I guess it's too small to be played like yours, I should really post it up on my youtube

thank you for questioning, hope you liked the solo...is just a matter of how far/near you put your udu from the mic!first time was a bit difficult and all sorts of horrible sound came out (was not very cool!)than i realized how to handle it and to have a deep or a high sound as you may see in my video!...try and let me know!matt.
