The two things I liked better about the PC version over this one:

1) Full Movie Sequences, not pictures superimposed w/ sound.

2) A mouse to control the cursor.

Otherwise, the graphics and music were great.

This was my first C&C game and it was so awesome. When I wanted to own it, I bought the PC version and noticed the difference between the two. The music and the graphics. In the PC, they have more music than N64 but the graphics looked way cooler than the PC for the most of it. There are both versions of the same music for both the PC and N64, sometimes I like music from the N64 cuz' there are stuff I favor a lot of the pieces I notice when listening to the music. Both are very awesome!

well, it's freeware... you can get it pretty much everywhere. And the unofficial 1.06 patch enhances gameplay a lot, and adds all of the previously console-exclusive missions to it ;)

i know some people r gonna hate me for this but the best RTS game ported to the n64 and was considered the mother of all modern RTS games is Starcraft and starcraft 64 was a great game sure no cutscenes or mission breifing talking is downputting but the in game sounds rock the only qualm i have with it was the horrible graphics but it was a collection of broodwar and original with the old maps and they even had an extra mission i wish i hadnt lost my cd key for the pc version STARCRAFT ROCKS C@C

lol Looking Glass managed to faithfully convert most of the original game and I think they did a pretty good job! From the design of all models down to the very notes of the soundtrack. What a fun job it must've been when you think about it. Imagine turning your favorite 2D retro game into 3D while deviating as little as possible from the source material. Sounds like a fanboy's dream come true.

it's because of their range compared to the flamethrower infantry. if it wasn't for the range I would have never used them. It may not be a huge range difference but it was enough, I was usually able to have them wipe out flame throwers before they got close enough. Mind you, if my group of grenadiers wasn't big enough I'd always lose them

PSX > N64. The PlayStation was closest to the original experience. Note the N64 cartridges don't have the capacity for FMV and relies on MIDIs and quasi-3D sequences in place of briefings and endings. Graphics were kind of better on the N64 or at least more animated, but not enough to enhance the fun of the game.

I never said the PSX was more powerful than the N64. I said the PlayStation edition of C&C was better. Plus, it came with the extra missions from the PC expansions. However, I do think PSX had better graphics regardless of power. N64's cartridge restrictions stopped developers being able to utilise graphics which matched PSX. And no one over 12 should say 'nublet'. Seriously, don't be a dork.

The graphics are better but its not the same as the PC versions for a variety of reasons, the main reason was they had to cram the entire game into a cartrage for the N64 so they had to remove the movies and the music quality which takes up most of the space anyways. The original PC C&C was on 2 CD's at aprox 500mb's each vs the 50mb cartrage
