I was in Holland on Scheveningen beach on Sunday and was devastated these beautiful creatures had been taken away. We went to ask in the tourist info office and they said they'll be returning... an onlooker pointed at button '2' on the audio visual displays... we put on pur headphones... & this video (above) came on... it absolutely made our holiday. I find it very moving. I'm so relieved to discover they'll have a new home in 2013. Will there be a home-coming party?
We'll definitely give them a home-coming party. That's a great idea! I'm glad the video gave you a bit of your holiday back. These sculptures indeed are an important part of the boulevard.

We're feeling sorry we couldn't stay in Holland longer to wtch the big football game on Sunday! :( WE saw the Holland v Brazil game in Amsterdam last Friday and it was very special, the atmosphere was unforgettable. About the sculptures, fantastic news you will give them a homecoming party. I know it's a long way off but if you can pu me down on your list to get info about the dates of that, I will definitely book a Holland trip for that!
