Very excellent video showing how the memory manager works in the JVM. Sometimes I fear that people who know java wont bother to learn how memory is managed since its pretty much done for you in Java. Props to the guy who had to program all that in C or Assembly tho defraging memory esp stuff in the stack is a pain.

so--if the heap mb is set too high how does that affect the garbarge collector? I see a java.exe file in task manager that memory usage keeps going up!

Lecture is really informative, pretty interesting need more details about GC algorithms. and when to use what algorithm? kindly extend the sessions in detail. better to use slides in the session.
