50 years old and aint ever .. . . EVER! heard anyone even close to Frankie , and i drank in the Scotia ,Monaco all over the East end listening to, in my opinion great singers ,even went to the greens playhouse now and again , no one can touch him lynott ,bowie , rafferty any of em , Frankie was miles in front . . . still is.
@KNARF1 i think frankie was on the road little before kim carnes and for rod the best scottish singer segeer always declare that he took the song from frankie and for bob i agree an old boy from italy who knew frankie about two lives ago mid seventiees let's say

I am astonished, and slightly ashamed, that apart from Caledonia and Darling I didn't know his work. And I am Scottish. He should be huge. Now I am actively looking for his albums.
Bridgton, Glasgow, Scotland. He is from there, and unfortunately cannot sing anymore as he had a stroke a few years back and lost his voice completely. One of our finest singers. And a great songwriter to boot!!!
