@MrChubbleyWarner I doubt Prince has anything to do with their own material... I dare say that partially it's actually Wendy & Lisa who helped Prince on some of his finest music during their Revolution days. Among them a masterpiece track "Sometimes It Snows In April".

I remember watching this video as a teenager and being weirdly and rather foolishly amazed that a girl could be such a great guitarist. I learned Wendy's lick where she bends up a tone from the II to the III and then touches the string at would be the VII of a Mixolydian scale, but because she's already bending up a tone it's actually a tone higher, so it suddenly goes up to the octave. Nice lick and it also looks rather cool.

love the passion of Wendy at that time, remember the tour gig in cologne in 89', it was really intimate, they where giggling behind the curtain and doin a really great show that evening, would like to hear them with new songs, same as White from the debut, but not just the tracks they do for tv, it's a shame would hollis say!
